In this episode of BlacktipH, I go fishing for massive queen snapper in the Florida Keys with Captain Dave Jones from Munsters Fishing. We used squid for bait on a chicken rig and dropped the rig down over 800ft! The first queen snapper that we caught was the biggest that I've ever seen! I seriously didn't know they grew this big!

Hi
One of my dream KZhead videos - Gordon Ramsay fishes for dinner with BlacktipH - catch, clean, cook.
Yo if that actulley happens though!
Josh’s entire vocabulary: OH MY GOSH DUDE ITS A GIANT BRO!!!!
You forgot YOOOOO FISH ON and REEL REEL REEL REEL REEL
Lol🤣
Lol
“ITS A DINOSAUR DUDE!”
Lol😂😂😂
6:05 he high-fives the fist bump lmao
Turkey
They could have hit the pewdiepie lmao
This dude just cauth a magikarp!!!
Josh's enthusiasm for fishing is contagious
One of the best fishing vids I've watched. Yeah I agree Captain Jones really knows what he doing and seems super cool. Great vid.
6:05 gobble gobble 😂😂😂
“Oh yeah you got a MUNSTER" 😂
Blacktiph: uploads Everyone: *my time has come*
What’s the point of a electric reel for recreational fishing? Seems like it takes the fun out of the sport.
Because of how deep the bait is it would literally take forever to bring it up
100% takes the fun out of it - but its definitely about money lol more fish caught at a higher rate cause of it
Cause, it's how fish the could be (and how much it weighs ofc) and if you caught a rare fish you wouldn't want to lose it correct?
@falsehashtags i’m with you I get that it’s about catching the most fish the fastest but I think part of appreciating recreational fishing is the fight, if they were doing this for food I think my view would be different.
@@davewilson2641 Kind of difficult to fight a dead fish. It gets a version of the bends when it starts to ascend to the surface, so electric reel or not, at that point you are reeling in basically a heavy rock. Take swordfish for instance, you are basically fighting a fish that can swim at 34kn in 1000+ feet of water. At that point you need buoy rods and/or other different equipment.
We not gonna talk about how he high-fived the fist bump ?😂
I’ve been watching this guys videos for 2 years and he has never disappointed. Keep up the good work josh! 👍🏼
Josh you are a legend. Every time I watch your vids I have to go fishing or do something fishing related.
I really like this guide, I would enjoy fishing with him.
Dave has such a cool origin story. Man just truly loves to fish!
“Keep as much as you’d eat fresh. Let the rest go” *keeps 70 lbs of fish*
100% agree. Unprofessional. Greed
I agree, probably more than 70lbs!
The amberjack and blackfin were used as bait. The two queen snappers were divided up between three people and their families. 👍
@@tmrussell1898 what?
@@tmrussell1898 Speaking far too early without knowing the full story. Shame.
Anyone think this channel gets them wanting to go fishing every Tuesday
Blacktiph I love your channel ur the best fisherman out their
You can tell Josh really loves his job. Never a dull moment, keep livin' bro!
who wouldnt love that job
Nah you didn’t catch that fish, the reel caught it
Exactly that's what I was just saying why use the electric reel
YES
Queens live in 500+ feet deep water electric reels are the only way to target them plus theyre usually dead after the first 100 ft anyways the sport is finding them and figuring out how to catch them
@@natesuarezfishing1355 makes sense, what about using the electric reel to just bring it up to a depth where you can hand crank it up?
@@jamesmastroianni6965 like i was saying after the first 100 feet or so the fish gets the bends anyways and starts spinning up doesn’t really fight anymore so theres just no real point in killing yourself trying to keep up with a floating fish, im not saying it cant be done just not practical Usually when people are deep dropping they are just trying to fill the cooler and once they do you can change it up and fish for pelagics on normal rod and reel such as dolphin wahoo tuna etc.
This is so cool seeing you fishing with him! I went fishing with him on that same boat when I was in islamorada! I used that same exact Diawa reel and caught a queen snapper! He’s a great guide!
Ive went dolphin fishing with him
These videos are so fun and cool to watch!!!! I LOVE FISHING!!! There isn't a big variety of fish in Texas, especially where I live, mainly bass and crappie but it's still fun to fish.
Man that's a good day of fishin'. Those snappers and the tripletail were awesome!
Been on KZhead since the beginning never dropped a comment but for this Capt Dave,I must say hands down the best charter captain the greatest person to have fished with,as a captain as a guide as great soul as a giving human being.he is like none other.the mahi whisperer, the queen snapper hate this guy but I have the out most respect for this islamorada fishing savage

PROs having the handle on the right side. Not the only one!
I can hear a young Josh going “OH MY GOSH BRO ITS GIANT BRO” while catching like a small bass
Those are some big snappers!!
It takes some serious talent and balls to ocean fish and these guys are awesome at it! 😎

Fitting that the captain's name is Davey Jones!!
That happiness after catching a fish . 😍❤❤❤
Very sophisticated fishing rod, it can turn itself, and also the first fish was very large.👍😊💪💪💪
That is a big fish 🐟
Snapper is my favorite to eat, had no idea they got so big 😲
Amazing bro. Masiv fish
Hey Josh heard you were at the Marriott today . I have been pulling in black tips and spiners the past couple weeks in numbers infront of the seagrape which is right beside the watergaldes,,,,,,, yesterday I landed 5 out of 6 in 2.5 hours then stopped at low tide.. Come on up man they are here!!!!!
Fun fact for you guys. A professor asked us during a class why are some predator fish so red. Wouldnt it be better to be simply blue of dark green to be spotted less. Well matter of fact is out of all the colors from the spectra water absorbs the red best. So after a few meters of depth these fish become invisible almost.
Can you do a vid about the best fish to catch and the gear
I love to hear when you lughing 😂
In Puerto Rico we catch Big Queen Snappers often
You live the life brother
Awesome video as always hope to make it to your level one day 🤠🤙🏻🙏🏻
6:05 nice fist pump with the high five LMAO
He should have tried hand cranking one 😆
Great catch. What brand and model of fishfinder do you use ?
Queens in the “Box”! Woohoo!
Nice fishing stuff Nice boat
Nice catch. Hawaii state record 28lbs.. Love the electric diawas. Tight lines.
Queen snapper, or onaga. You got a $600 fish.
Beautiful Rubby👍👍👍
Awesome cant wait to gt out on the water
Nice vids man
I gotta get one of those fishing rods that auto reel is great
Perfect👌👍 Monster fish
yea man I totally agree with the guy on not taking a whole bunch of fish when all ur gonna do is freeze an leave it in the freezer for couple weeks or month an waste it especially when limiting out or taking close to that an I fish for togs an I never take over 3 never and if its over 10 pounds its going back. Because they're the ones that lay the most eggs an tog take a long time to get mature and live up to 55 years. But just for it to get to the size ur allowed to take them is about 15-20 years an thats only 15-16 inches and then a fish that are over 10 pounds are easy 30-35 years old which is nuts to think about because that would mean that fish was alive in early 90s an some before that.
One word for those epic queen snapper: GYOTAKU! They'd be magnificent.
Nice fishing brother ❤️🙏
Very true keep what you can eat that day
0:19 just a piece of squid continues to show an entire squid
Biggest hammerhead I’ve ever seen was in Islamorada, the boat we were on was 23 feet, we pulled up about 15 feet off to his side and got the boat to the point it where his head was about flush with the bow, and his tail went all the way back past the center console
this is really nice video
