  • When every clerk see you enter the store "why do I hear boss music?" 😱

  • The clerk really shouldn't have stopped you from getting a low cost item like Pocky, they ended up losing way more cause they moved you on to other, more expensive, machines 😂

    @canonogic@canonogic10 ай бұрын
    • You pay more to play higher. Lol you think its expensive because think retail price. Lol vendor buys all that stuff for 25% or less of retail as low as ten percent. Most food claw machines its over inventory or near expiration or even for large chain arcades stuff made just for them like dollar stores will have chef boyadee with dollarama label printed into can label at factory and recipe slightly different. Lol they always make their money regardless how much you win. The trap is making you think you won big time because you think of the retail price or value. If they were losing money they'd change the rules or machine program or simply charge more per play

They ship what you win, but if you go that route, keep in mind that the shipping is very slow to the US due to the company trying to cut costs. Before the change, I got my winnings in two weeks. Now it's 2-3 months because it ships by boat.😓

  • So, the standard is ¥100 for an attempt, or sometimes 3 attempts? For regular visitors, that is very costly, taking into account how hard they try to make these and how weak the claws usually are. Then again, I saw Master grip an actual mug in another video, so maybe the claw standards are different in Japan. Anyway, I know that you're not supposed to make a direct comparison between the money and the items, as it IS a game and not a vending machine, but still. edit: Ok maybe I'm wrong about the ¥100 being a lot if Japanese grocery stores are really that expensive ($90 dollars for those chocolate bars???) At least the machines I've seen here are a bit more honest than what I've seen in Europe back in the day - usually the bottom was covered so that you couldn't see that most of the "expensive" items were attached to it, though everyone with common sense or at least parents looking after them knew about this. Also, I like how the ones in these videos use all kinds of building pieces and every day items to make different kinds of "play arenas," adding to the game side of it (something I never saw in carnivals in my country - it was always just a square/rectangle floor area with something covering the real bottom so you couldn't see what items were impossible).
