Keys Kayak Fishing - That Escalated Quickly

Finally got outside to the blue water. Put in some trolling hours with not much to show. The wrecks were kind of quiet as well. Did pull up a couple though. The wind is down for a bit so should be able to get out a bit more often. Boy those sharks are aggessive.

  • had the same trouble one day in the Everglades with snook. the sharks were everywhere. nabbed one of the fish I had on and they chased many more. they were definitely in hunting mode. watching a six foot shark push and slither through mangrove roots and out of the water over top of them chasing fish was an awesome sight! I was impressed watching their raw power and seeing their aggressive instincts kick in once the dinner bell rang. the guide said they were either Lemons or Bulls. great video!

    • A sharks version of “interested in checking humans out” is with their bite, which can result in death. So although they don’t go out of their way to eat a human, they can still cause death through just checking them out. Pretty crazy

Little sharks took 3" to 4" bites out of his leg and a girl got bit in the side, before they were rescued by a passing boat, and these were smaller sharks than your shark. • Eights ....Sorry friend,but that fish did NoTTTT Go2 heaven.Im a old acquaintance of the fish ,the my old Beta named 'Louie' that was with me a few years back.. Louis was a pet store betta fish but had a checkered past, as well as a lot of baggage from his past as well. We would have conversations, yes I do speak fish like Aquaman, and he personally knew the fish in this video they used to hang out. Although bettas are regarded as a freshwater fish in most we are. Louie had some sort of mutation that allowed him to swim in both saltwater and freshwater kind of like a bull shark. I never asked how particularly he was able to do that. But regarding the fish in this video they used to go out drinking together at a lot of fish night clubs in the Atlantic and Pacific even chilling at times with SpongeBob SquarePants and Squidward. The fish's name was Sam Louie said when they would be out and fix nightclubs Sam would be under the influence and drinking too much and start to force himself on on lady chick fishes this happened multiple times and Louie basically regarded him as a sex offender. In Louie didn't roll like that. Anyways the word in the pond is that Sammy the sex offender fish got caught and one of the girl fish press charges and they ended up spending a decent amount of time fish prison where he was violated buy a giant octopus that was a cellmate in the shock collar on that block. At the end of the day it looks like Sandra is out of prison and is something definitely to stay far far away from. I'm just letting you know.

  • if anyone gets into this sort of fishing be very aware....extra aware of your surroundings especially when by yourself in the open ocean. Try to go with a friend or two if you can. Also, don't be dumb ass. A guy here in Hawaii (on Maui) was Kayak fishing and chumming the water while his legs were hanging over. A tiger shark came up, bit his right leg right below the knee and took off all the meat down to the bone (like you could clearly SEE THE BONE) and took the guys foot off as well. He died from bleeding out shortly after they got him to shore or before that. I like fishing but, I'll never go Kayak fishing...at least never alone.

I snorkel, but I'm never fully relaxed in HI waters. Always watching my back. I know sharks aren't the maneaters depicted in _Jaws_ , but they do make mistakes on occasion, and I look an awful lot like a juicy seal in my rash guard & flippers! You have some _fantastic_ marine life. Never fails to remind me just how small I really am.

You've got a lot of expensive gear there, rods and camera sticking up in back so you can's swing that way, and the pontoon and spare rod off to the right so you can't really swing around that way either.

    @Bouboukenka@Bouboukenka7 жыл бұрын
    • It is eaten quite often in many different places. The reason why it is not eaten very much down here is that we have a large population of Blackfin Tunas which are a higher grade. They are just as accessible so most find no need to eat Bonito.

    @nextari@nextari7 жыл бұрын
    • They are smart predators. They know something isn't right so they go into lock jaw. In the beginning when they are all erratic, that is there feeding mode. Don't put your feet in the water then. After that, when they are just cruising, they are just waiting to see if they will get a free meal. The wrecks are fished quite heavily so they hear those outboard motors, and it is like ringing the dinner bell.

      @KeyWestKayakFishing@KeyWestKayakFishing7 жыл бұрын
    • Predators are also often hesitant about attacking an odd or sickly looking/acting fish or prey animal, in the off chance they could contract whatever ailment that their food has. With the fish spiraling like that I am assuming they thought it was just wounded.
