Honestly if any z character busts out some special attack that can't be released in 5 seconds or less, bet it will fail. You will win money 90% of the time.
That technique really be eating over in the movies. But yeah in the series it's pretty worthless

Reminder that Cell cried every time he was defeated after he absorbed the first cyborg. This contributes heavily to the fact that first form Cell is the superior version of Cell, who did not cry when defeated.

That's because Imperfect Cell adopted Piccolo's personality, Semi Perfect Cell adopted Vegeta's personality, with Perfect Cell adopting Frieza's personality.
I think he just became more emotional after absorbing the androids who were a major part of him so he got their human emotions which z and super have shown they are more than capable of
Love Cell, but yes, he eventually ends up being Frieza 2.0, which is lame af for how he started out so sinister and absolutely chilling.
I really liked the dofference between Cell and Super/Majin Buu. It's great that we went from a cold, calculating villain with Cell. Then we got Majin Buu who starts out as just some fat weirdo, becomes pure evil, gains more intelligence mimicing Cell in a sense, and then the final battle is with Kid Buu. A complete opposite to Cell's intellegence. A ball of pure unadulterated black air force energy that can't even speak
Kid Buu is basically Goku's perfect opponent. A hyper powerful dude who does nothing but fight and does weird attacks like Goku. THEY BOTH BIT EACH OTHER

To be fair the 5 minute dying Namek fight was indeed 5 minutes if you consider they move casually at speeds the most trained eye can't register.
ordinarily you’d be right, but Goku & Frieza spend more than 5 mins standing and talking as well. so even if all the fighting happened in less than a second, the sheer amount of time spent talking would’ve run the clock down regardless. Unless you want to argue that they’re talking to each other extremely fast too, but that just seems ridiculous and isn’t shown to be the case at all. The simple answer is that in the manga, they don’t talk much and the fight isn’t that long, so it really could’ve been 5 mins, but anime filler bloated that 5 mins to a way longer timeframe.

This five minutes is clearly explained in latest dragonball multiverse episodes.. goku and vegeta stand on the tournament grounds, and liteerally a second later vegeta is lieing in a cater, all bruised.. for them it was few minutes, but they moved so fast that for everyone the whole fight was Just the blink of an eye.
As a Villain specifically, I can never rank any DBZ villain over Frieza. A huge part of being a villain, is villainy, and Frieza is as pure evil as it gets. He didn't undergo any trauma to get him to this point, he was basically born that way, he knows he's evil, and he likes it. I'd rank Cell slightly higher as an Antagonist, but not as a Villain.
In his best selling book "How to be a great villain?", Freezer goes step by step on what a proper villain must do to earn the title, starting with the first chapter: "Alien Trafficking"

I personally liked Majin Buu the most. To me it was fun seeing him go from a goofball of destruction to an intelligent fighting threat before finally regressing to a monster that wanted nothing more than to have fun by creating as much chaos as he could.
He was brought a lot of psychology and magic into the series. Having to split between his good and evil halves. And the fact that he has GOD KI! Well… the Evil Buu that is >.> I’m glad I’m not the only one who appreciates the Bibidi Babidi Buu 🙆🏾♂️
I don't know. Personally, I think that if Buu started and ended as Kid Buu it would have felt less disjointed. Cell and Frieza were cooler to me since they still felt like the same character, but in different forms.

@@kanohu8983I think he absorbed the z warriors to taunt them I noticed it in the anime and in the dragon ball z kakarot game I saw that buu was trying to keep up with them in power levels because when gohan fights him he gets absolutely pissed that gohan is better than him he even says it both in the anime and game that he hates when someone is stronger than him and he says “I want to kill you” to gohan so I’m assuming he absorbs them to get there power levels and then challenge the next z warrior to show them how much more power he gained and he also displays it by having the same outfit as the person he absorbs, for example buu wears gohans gi when he he absorbs him and once goku and vegeta fuse they get absorbed by buu on purpose but they did it to free gohan and the others imprisoned and once they do that buu just loses his shit and starts to release all of his anger and rage and turns into kid buu his most purest evil form and it’s all released from the steam that comes out of his pores which has to be made of his Ki and rage those two combined is what gives him his strength and power to possess those crazy abilities he has!

Subjectively cell is the best villain in the entire series for me. Cold, calculated, unique backstory that has personal connections with the Z Fighters. Personality is amazing. Loved first form when he was skulking around absorbing people. Amazing villain.
There's no way Cell is better than Freeza as a villain.

Raditz was a 10/10 for me. He was mysterious, imposing and a genuine threat. I also believe it was Goku at his best in terms of personality.
Raddiz was so strong at the time that they broke their unwritten rule of never teaming up on opponents 💀
People forget that Raditz is the only villain that one shotted Goku then beat him twice in a row. He was also the only villain that Goku had to die to defeat.

I think the Cell Saga had the best storyline, but the animation and choreography in the Buu Saga are the best we’ve seen in Z, might just be because I like that era of art styles in Z too. Also I’d give kid Buu a 10/10 or a 9/10 just because he is the embodiment of a chaotic menace.

Cap It's noted in the manga that the FF was perfectly aimed and calculated. In fact, that happens 2 times. The Kamehameha that was stated to be powerful enough to blow up earth was perfectly aimed by Goku. Even Cell was scared and thought Goku would never released that attack. All in the manga.

DBZ was supposed to end with Cell. That was during '94. But pressure from all sides forced Akira T. to write the Buu Saga. That was '96 I believe. The second half of the 90s was a new era, a more vibrant and positive era, less grime, sweat, blood and drama. That's why the Buu Saga felt so different.

I believe people don’t give Buu the credit he deserves. He ate all of the Z-fighters, blew up Earth, then beat the bricks off the two main protagonists twice. Buu’s purpose as a villain is as a force of nature: something completely unreasonable and incorruptible. He just is and the Z-fighters have the misfortune of being in his way. This is completely different than the last 2 big baddies and I love et. On top of that, Buu has the best fights because of his wild and dynamic style as well as his fun personalities.

Majin Buu is hands down my favourite Z villain. So much variety with his forms and transformations and his ability to turn people into food to literally eat them was savage as all heck!! Didn't he cure a blind kid and give him milk made of some random dude? Just unforgettable...
While my favorite Dragon Ball villain is Frieza, I will admit Gohan and Cell's battle is awesome. I absolutely love the fath/son Kamehameha at the end. An amazing end to an amazing fight.

Goku and Frieza were moving so fast that in their perspective 5 minutes felt like hours. When you go past light speed time slows down to the point where minutes can feel like eternity and the fight was in their point of view.

I'd rather get absorbed honestly, yeah it probably stinks in there while also being the textbook example of claustrophobia, but it's better than being penetrated by cells tail "pause" and getting drinked like a caprisun in the hot sun.
For me Buu was not all that bad. Sure, the whole Fat, Evil, Super and Kid stuff might be a little misleading, but the whole concept of Buu being a compound of nothing but destruction is great for me.
He was pretty evil though. I make the argument alot that he was more like an embodiment of destruction too. But buu has alot of moments of torture. Not as many as frieza...and definitely not as long. We watched frieza via secondary torture those namekians for an episode. Frieza got his hands dirty and tortured nail for like 3 episodes, piccolo ( in third form) for a full episode, vegeta for a full episode and goku for like 5 episodes. In comparison, buu does that for 5 minutes maybe then calls it quits to kill you. Vegeta is the only one who got like half of an episode against both fat buu and kid buu. Otherwise, circumstances always had buu taking his attention elsewhere, or he never seemed interested to begin with. People think cell is so evil, but I think he is the least evil. His tortures ( if you want to call them that) had purpose outside of just sadism or destruction. Absorption, from what we see is a heinous way to die, but he was as quick as he could have been...unless you count some filler, he did act monstrous in that. He beat the crap out of 17 to absorb him...not to just torture him. If 17 went willingly, there would be no violence...outside of the absorption part. He clowned vegeta for maybe 5 minutes and then just rendered him unconscious. Vegeta out of his league with buu, frieza, and cell at one point got it the easiest with cell. Buu may have had some torturous fun with vegeta but a fast ki blast when bored seems most likely. Frieza on the other hand beat this guy to an inch of his life and then killed him. And it was only because he was sick of his mouth running about ssj. If vegeta kept his mouth shut, he probably would have lived because frieza is so sadistic, the thrill isn't the kill part, it's the torture part. How I view them is buu is a guy having fun running over people with a car. Cell would like to kill you in a boxing ring and frieza....well frieza is that psycho that would like bind, torture, then kill you after the torture part is no longer amusing.
Buu’s biggest issue is that he comes out of nowhere in the lore, and we’re supposed to expect he’s been chilling in the background the whole time. Like, if the damn egg was on Earth of all places, why didn’t Babidi try to absorb energy from fighters during the Cell Saga? You know, when five Super Saiyans were just casually walking around. Sure, I totally believe this out of nowhere monster has been sealed away on Earth since before Freeza blew up Planet Vegeta, and nobody ever mentioned or talked about him.

Vegeta was definitely a better character. But Goku had to sacrifice himself to kill Radditz, and that sacrifice changed the way Piccolo saw not just Goku, but people, in general. How much it cost the Z-fighters is what gives that arc its weight, I think.
