@hussain, yates was not some team player here, but he wanted to escape Pogačar. He didn’t succeed and in the end he was out sprinted. He played on all and he loose. Al could would doesn’t have sense...
@@markopodganjek845 yeah he tried to escape but when he realised that he wasn't escaping he was asking pogacar to come through and when he wasn't that's when he decided to attack again.

Poor tactics by Yates, not only did he fall asleep at the critical time, but he could & should have forced P to pass him before that. P wouls have pushed the pace for maximum time difference & Yates would have jumped P for the win. Yates's physical ability is sublime here & in many races, but he lets himself down all too often in lack of tactical nonse.
