It was my birthday weekend and we were staying at Marlow. With a few hours spare on Saturday me and Peter found this trout fishery only about 30 minutes away. It was a lovely venue and trout were moving everywhere when we turned up at 9am. The water was clear there and the trout fought really hard. Nor Monster sized fish between 1.5lbs and 4lbs but there was lots of them. I can recommend this fishery, we were greeted by a lovely lady who really makes you feel really welcome. There is a nice lodge where you can eat lunch and tables outside to have a drink and watch over the lake.

Was there yesterday! Funny you were catching fish in that part of the lake. Almost all the activity for me was in the part of the lake near the lodge. I must try harder. Love the catch & release.

I managed to catch 8 Rainbow here yesterday in about 3 hours. 6 Caught on your "Martyn's Deadly Heavy Copper and Orange Firebirds" That's such an effective fly pattern. The other two were caught on my version, same fly pattern, but white and green flash.... Your Flies are incredibly effective, the weight and balance really make them killer.
