@Dingleberry Mcdinglepants they did. That arena was empty so no one cared. Could put rush in, or someone from njpw since they have a relationship with them. made it a “surprise” challenger and if it were a new talent to roh have them win and that would be the hook to bring everyone back in April

I was at this event last night and it was so lit! I haven't always kept up with wrestling, but ROH was one of the promotions I enjoyed. Last I saw Grisham, he was partnering with Lethal. Great passing of the torch and hopefully this show comes back. Bandido needs his rematch for the title he never formally lost!

I would've liked to see Lethal win this, he was very loyal to ROH for years, but it's cool he walked into the match as the ROH champ, this was a good match that will go down in history for sure. I think Gresham will become a huge star somewhere, maybe even WWE. I'm excited to see where Gresham and Lethal go in their careers next.

I gotta disagree. Gresham has also been loyal to ROH for years and still is. Unlike Lethal he hasn't had as many huge moments in the past. Plus Jay is the one who has moved on to AEW. Things are looking like Gresham is only going to focus on his wrestling school, the occasional indie, and then next years ROH events if that happens. Gresham is the one who isn't moving on to bigger and better places.

It's not the ROH World Title, that was the ORIGINAL ROH WORLD TITLE that he won. Bandido is technically still the ROH world heavyweight champion, and Bandido wasn't able to make it due to COVID19 problems. You can tell it's the original ROH title because it's the one that Samoa Joe, CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, Low Ki etc all won.
Imagine having to lose a title for the company that just fired all of its wrestlers.
I suppose it could be worse, they could be stuck under contracts unable to work anywhere else making no money

Bandido had to relinquish the title. And Gresham was already #1 contender. Lethal stepped in to cover for Bandido. Sort of like the UFC Heavyweight title match some years back between the #1 contender and the other challenger. #1 Contender wins the interim Heavyweight title. Rematch with the guy who never lost happens. Then you get your undisputed champ.

ROH is nowhere near WCW. WCW went out of business because Eric Bischoff spent about $60M on wrestlers who didn’t give a shit about the program. ROH went out of business because of a global pandemic and even tho the company wasn’t making money, they still kept paying their wrestlers when the entire world was on lockdown. If covid didn’t happen then ROH would still be in business.

It will at least be in the good hands of an owner who loves pro wrestling and gives the fans what they want. Plus, AEW wants that All In material considering that is what made AEW into becoming a possibility once Tony Khan stepped in.
