I wanted to open the mouse and this video helped! Thanks for the video!
Thanks for the video, my scroll wheel was skipping and i tried to disassemble it, but was to afraid to just yoink the board out, it didn`t seem very safe to me. but after waching the video that at somepoint you just have to do it, I managed to solve my issue
Currently taking mine apart to repair the same issue. What steps did you take to fix it? I was just going remove top shell and blow it out.
@@stevenlopes8365same did that fix it
love the videos, keep it up. So informative
Glad you are enjoying the , as long as they build mice the videos will keep on coming
Thanks for the video. Out of all the mice I've tested, this one was in my favorites...it's very light weight, as far as I can remember the buttons sounded and felt the same and weren't too hard to press for the mouse weight, mouse wheel was decent, width was great for my hands, really loved the M1+M2 form. Only issue for me is that the back is too small for my grip and hand size.
Nice video! I was wondering if you have the measurements for the scroll wheel O Ring, I'm trying to replace it on my unit, thanks for your content!! 😁
Great video! 👍 You should have a look at the haste 2 as they're using their own custom switches
I somehow came upon a listing on eBay that was mint with original packaging/accessories untouched: $21 shipped. Everything is perfect on it except the scroll wheel encoder needs replaced because it frequently misses/misinterprets input. Which is fine enough because I really don't like how light the resistance is on it and would like to find something with greater resistance and tactility. What's really weird about it is that it feels IDENTICAL to the encoder on the GPW, but I like the scroll on that. It's a good example of how the combined design and materials of EVERYTHING make up the feel, not just the switch/encoder itself.
Will Kailh square silent switch fit in as a replacement for the scroll middle button?
My scroll wheel is wildly sensitive, it bounces up and down at the slightest touch. My other mice do not do this. Do you think its thus soecific design, or an issue just my device? Can i replace the scroll wheel mechanism?
The hyperx haste should be hard to remove wheight from it. Just can say they did pretty good on it. Nice vid :)
Yep it’s a nice mouse which just needs a few tweaks
On the wired version of Hyperx Pulsefire Haste, there are 4 screws on the bottom instead of just 2.
Ahh nice job as usual
Thanks gald you like it
How do you open up the front? Is there some kind of locking mechanism there i can't seem to pry it open no matter how
There are a couple of clips on the bottom shell, one under each mouse button; you can get a good look at them at about 5 minutes in. They clip into slots on the top half right under the buttons. It's a pain to unclip them, and to re-clip them.
Been waiting for a wireless version of this mouse. The white color looks nice. Great teardown as always.
You Cat Super, sory my english, I from Tbilisi, Georgia

Thanks PrayImGood glad you liked it 👍 The white looks fab but its hard to get atm as its always out of stock :-(
Cant wait ! see ya monday sir butcher bob
Monday will be fun, we are in for a fun week
@@Beardedbob excellent !
My mouse buttons are not being held down on the front by the Shell, is there any fix? I tried using another mouse to game for a free months but it just isn't cutting it
Is there any way for me to change the location of the side buttons from the left side to the right side a question mark I use the left hand, and I am left-handed, so I need the buttons on the right side, and there is no mouse that supports this thing for a long time. I have been looking for a mouse that supports the left hand, and it is light, fast, and strong, but something like this was impossible to find something like this in the market. Either I search for someone He makes it for me or I learn how to iron it myself If you know someone who makes a custom mouse, let me know it will be helpful
I wish you teamed up with some manufacturer and built a gaming mouse from scratch! You gathered a lot of knowledge from messing with a lot of mice and I think you would make a top tier product.
Sure have, maybe one day we will team up
Its not that easy.. becasue company need to make profitable product, not the best product. their target is consumer market, not enthusiast
not a mod friendly mouse. the torx screws, the weird way the top shell attaches to the bottom shell, the box with the battery, side buttons pcb mounting, and the weird rubberized glue holding the sensor to the bottom shell. i swapped the switches on mine and was surprised how different it is from the wired Haste (internally and how it comes apart).
yeah its certainly an intermediate one to mod
I just bought a model around a month ago and the screws don’t seem to be the same. I can’t figure out what kind of screws they are so that I can take it apart. Can someone help me?
You probably aren’t looking for this anymore, but for anyone else, some models came with Philips, regular trox, and trox security. The trox security is the one with a circle in the middle, in my experience if the device isn’t very old, you can use a regular trox bit to remove it, however if you aren’t able to, you can always just run down to any hardware store and get TS bits for relatively cheap.
whats the size of screws inside?
how much do the viper ultimate btl skates on your store cost? they dont say, im uk so pounds. thanks
R ok I'll check that out, they are 9.45gbp with free 2nd class posted. There are other postage options.
@@Beardedbob ooo nice ill probably get those
What is the lifespan of the Kailh side switches? Can't find any info anywhere on "Grey" Kailh switches
between 60 and 80 million for the standard swtich. the micro switch is around 5m
@@Beardedbob Thanks
thanks for the vid this helped me tear mine down and clean the encoder wheel with a qtip with some alcohol on it. saved my mouse!
Just got this on Amazon for £32. It's incredible at that price point. My new favourite mouse
The wired or wireless? Wireless is selling for £112 on Amazon at the moment. Which seems absurd, since it's £6 more than the GPX.
@@Rocket33r wireless. Pretty sure it was a pricing error. It went up to £75 two days after I placed my order and now it's even more like you said.
@@timbillins1848 I wouldn't call it an error necessarily (it's debatable I guess), it's just Amazon's algorithm. It changes prices aggressively. I've also found bargains in the past. The current 112 pound price is just as absurd as the 32 pound price. I think I paid 35 or so for my wired copy. I guess you got a good deal.
My bad bob just now seeing this
3:12 what that thing he uses to remove the labels???
Lighter fluid, you can use any 70+ % alcohol too.
Do you know how I fix my mouse, it's flashing red on LEDs and is completely unresponsive
maybe try charging it?, if that fails then maybe check and see if you have it hooked up correctly.
Can you teach the cat to tear down mice next
Hes in training but the claws are a problem
may I please know the size of the encoder for this mouse?
should be in the teardown
What main pub weight ?
60g
@@Beardedbob Thank you Bob. I watching evertime in Japan.

@@Beardedbob np have a good one
