    • I think you need to do a little research so you can give accurate info. The shifter is indeed up and down. My guess is you did not feel rev matching because you were going to slow. I like your content but having no info on the modern bikes with all kinds of tech onboard will likely lead to more inaccurate info given to viewers. I am not criticizing as I know you want to give accurate info. Just suggesting you rethink your "no prior info" approach :)

  • This seems to compete directly with my street bike which is a Ducati Supersport S. I love the sporty yet comfortable segment for the street. My back can't take sport bikes for more than 1-2hrs but I can ride my Ducati 7-8hrs a day (spirited) no problem. I don't know why anyone would need more power on the street as my Ducati has around 110hp. This one seems to hover around 85 with plenty torque. What a ball of fun. Great bike, well done Suzuki. Thanks for the review.

    • @@manasranjansahoo2905 yeah I love that one too. There is an excellent comparison out there (kzhead.info/sun/daqhoNN8b4iHnKc/bejne.html). It sort of boils down to the wheel base. SS is longer and it is more at home with long swoops whereas Aprilia is shorter and more at home with sharper dives and also at track. I never rode the Aprilia but I could tell the review was spot on for the SS. Aprilia is clearly the sportier choice. It will be tough for Suzuki 8r to compete in this segment.

    • @@tunctoker856 yeah you’re right and the review is spot on. But i was comparing it with actually the Tuono 660 and not the RS 660. The RS is a proper sport while the tuono is like a naked bike. Actually only aprillia does this i guess. The body of the RS660 is used with high handle bar and a bit less aggressive foot pegs in the Tuono. It is actually just like a naked bike with the body of a sport bike. That’s why i love it the most because i needed fully faired bikes with neutral set pegs and flat handlebar for a comfortable ride through streets. • This is the ugliest Suzuki sport bike I have ever seen in my life with 25 years of motorcycle enthusiasm under my belt. I would not sell this bike at regular price or a premium to a disliked half brother who is half my age and has stolen all of the favoritism from our parents and family. Suzuki glued two flashlights in a black sea of plastic, that was melted down from the odometer and dash behind the windshield, to serve as the headlights. This comes from a motorcycle manufacturer that has a reputation for clean, elegant and iconic headlights in their GSXR600, 750, and 1000 series. I could not get over that one problem but there are others such as the stoplight and indicators thrown into the same plastic rear fender and the headlights having one on at a time with a separate bright light not being on. If any of you is looking to purchase this, please let me know because I love a good laugh. If your backs are out of shape there are plenty of adventure or street fighter ride style bikes that you may unfortunately be limited to unless you are willing to bend over spread for this travesty Suzuki has produced.

  • The true do-it-all all street bike. It's no replacement for the 750 (love mine) but it is nice to see them force other manufacturers to stop being lazy. They wait for all the others to play their cards, then they always come back after with something superior. This entire modern lineup is killing it, and hopefully, they are saving the GSXR line for the big final reveal with all this tech. If so, it's game over for everyone. Even a K7 GSXR1000 will run almost down any bike you can set next to it on a circuit. This 8R is the ultimate street kit, with everything you can want right out of the box.

    • @@vannatter09That really depends on how you ride… unless you wring the neck of the GSX-S 750 and REALLY let it scream, the GSX8R will feel faster. The 750 had 82 Nm at 9000 rpm the GSX8R has 78 Nm… but that comes in already at 6800 rpm. Also keep in mind that the 750 is 22 lbs heavier that GSX8R. Personally, I much prefer the scream of the inline 4 (add a Yoshi and I’m in heaven), but there is no doubt that to most people, the new parallel twin will offer more enjoyment, most of the time.

    • Your GSX S750 has more power at the top but the GSX 8S and 8R has more torque and at 3-4,000 rpm will feel quicker. You have to work the GSXS to get the power. So it depends if you scream around the place revving the c##p out of the bike. If you do the GSXS will be quicker. I rode them back to back and chose the 8S for the relaxed torque almost everywhere, quick shifter and great dash. It feels grunty and sharper for every day riding.

  • Fun review. great to finally see the *R on the road. Might trade my 8S. The bike does have a down shifter and auto-blipper. The down shift auto blip is a bit more subtle than, say the Street Triple, but it works fine. I think you let yourself down with that fact. Some bloggers add a written comment or insert when they make mistakes or forget details. And to be picky the engine is 776cc So it is more a 750 than an 800. Great bike though.

    @paulconnell1309@paulconnell13093 ай бұрын
    • Closer to 800, you round up remember, or down if it's halfway or below, so in this case if it were 775cc, it'd be closer to a 750, but with 776cc, they'd round it up to 800. Same way temperaturs are handled in controlled enviroments, or catering etc.

Every motorcycle video spends about 5 minutes talking about how good it will fit someone around 5'6. I'd rather just see playlists for motorcycles made for taller men and shorter men.
