I believe Coach Dawn and Coach Boyer began to give them some slack after they won those games without Kamilla and then turned around and convincingly beat LSU.

But South Carolina coach and WNBA standout Dawn Staley is Philly home grown too, having attended, Dobbins Technical High School. A few additional NBA greats, who hailed from Philly include: Wilt Chamberlain, Wally Jones, Rasheed Wallace, Eugene Banks, Rick Brunson (Jalens father) Andre McCarter (ABA & NBA), Joe Bryant (the late Kobe Bryant's father) Earl Monroe (Played center at Bartram High). Now was there something, in the water? Perhaps. But these famous greats and others, warrant the title bestowed upon Philadephia, as Basketball Capital of America, in my opinion. Was there any other city in the country, that produced more NBA, ABA, or WNBA, talent?
