The close grip bench is one of the most popular pressing variations to develop your bench press. One if the biggest traps lifters get caught in is moving their hands too close to each other. If you notice yourself "dumping" at the bottom or experience shoulder/elbow pain try moving your grip out slightly wider. Watch the full video for an in-depth guide of how to select the appropriate grip width in the close grip bench press.

  • Yes. Anywhere inside the rings is close-grip. I use a thumbs-length close-grip for all my pushing and overhead pressing.

  • "A see through bench does not exist" said in Chris Duffin's house. Blasphemy... time to get some materials and build a transparent bench IMO.

  • You can just use two cameras (or two phones) with two tripods shooting from different angles or distances instead of having the camera moving around ALL THE TIME. It seems that the cameraman was constantly deciding whether he wanted to zoom in or zoom out and whether he should shoot from this angle or that angle. The instability and anxiety caused by unnecessary camera movements can be easily avoided simply by using tripods. Imagine watching Batman or Spiderman movies on the big screen with this amount of instability: kzhead.info/sun/qbCao9iMqYGhgK8/bejne.html

    • The videography style of "Calisthenicmovement" is pretty good. Yes, they have camera movements, but the movement is very smooth and gentle (slow). The viewers can just focus on the content, not noticing what the cameraman was doing or trying to do. In other words, it's immersive. You should forget you're watching a video. And if you're constantly being reminded that you're watching a video because the camera is moving this way and then that way and zooming in and zooming out, that's not good. Here's an example: kzhead.info/sun/aayxpNynj4R8emg/bejne.html
