Dante vs Dante in that last fight gave me chills if there was ever Online pvp in DMC4... the idea of fighting that will make me put my controller down and watch my opponent make a masterpiece out of me.
The Dante vs Dante fight at the end TRULY shows how godly Donguri is: with the same character, he's better than the A.I.

So essentially, Donguri is like the Batman of DMC; as he's mastered every technique & in turn, invented his own stylish tactic only he can use
In creativity I would put Sakaki in higher regard, his uses of reversed attacks and lucifer are just out of this world. Donguri is probably the best freestyle I've seen so far though. DelusionaryKiller is also pretty insane.

Dante's strength is not his physical strength, rather his skill and smarts. He attacks his enemies very creatively.
He may be smart, but he can't make up for the gap in power compared to Bayonetta. Remember: She literally killed God.

Capcom for their 5 major IP's(one of which is DMC) releases in 2.5 year cycles, which coincides with DMC4SE(yeah, they do count spin offs and updates). The joke might have actually been a reference to the reboot since a lot of combos utilize the hooks, enemy hops, etc. which keep you off the ground. (Hence the "floor is lava" joke.)

DMC:Dmc's gameplay wasn't that bad, the problem was that lategame weapons+demon dodge were OP, colored enemies were a terrible mistake and the lack of lock-om changing was ass. The style ranks being kept until you take damage instead of slowly going down would've been fine if the enemies were more aggressive like the OG games. And Floating Trigger was dumb.

I think, you reached this level of awesomeness is by mastering the moves to the point where you don't need to worry about whether your hits will land or not and that your moves are now muscle memory. Therefore, your whole concentration is dedicated to what the opponent is doing and what to do to not get hit. It's the same mentality as mastering injustice or MK

This is why I enjoy DMC more than Souls games. In this game you are always on the same playing field as the boss, and have all the tools to beat them. It's just a matter of skill and speed to keep them in a combo. In Souls you need certain character build and weapons to even stand a chance which often boils down to simple grinding and knowing what to do via trial and error. Knowing when to attack a boss lest you get instakilled. Here, you make your own openings and break THEIR combos. It's super satisfying because you're getting clear visual feedback that you're doing well via your combos themselves.
The Timing, Precision and expertly master all his arsenal.. woah... i bet DMC only game you play after all this years
