Minecraft is all about thinking outside the box. Occasionally I see videos where I go: huh, I never thought you could use that block that way. I thought it was only intended for xyz, and the concept was in front of my nose for years.
@@echoplots8058bro. You deserve a Oscar award
@@blazingbeez7732he deserves a oscar for being a dumbass? (Just kidding)
@echoplots8058 , well, you’re partly right, Minecraft (mostly with content from mods) has such an assortment of its own capabilities and materials that can fascinate us for years. But I’ve seen enough sandboxes, programming languages, etc. and I’ll say that Minecraft has a lot of weird limitations that only force you “thinking *inside* the box”. Of course, some of the limitations can be explained by the code (and the source code is still closed at all, what is there to protect like that?..) and the Java limitations, but… do we really have to spend so much time of our short lives on so many tricks when there are so many good sandboxes/art programs? Everything is good in its own way, but that’s not what I’m talking about now. Studying all these tricks will probably take longer than some really useful school subjects (imagine the current average student who gets a bad grade in TNT duping…). ;D Every time I watch someone build complex mechanisms, computers in Minecraft, Terraria, etc., it seems to me that they are suffering in vain, as if writing *serious* projects in some fun slow/unreadable esoteric languages. I’m not even talking about my 0-10 FPS when I was still playing Java Minecraft, how much would it freeze now after 7 years of disbalance-quantity-over-quality updates? More likely, I just forgot how to have fun. But I still decided to remind everyone of other ways to think outside the box. And the ways don’t end with these, of course. I once started collecting a whole list (simple TXT) of mind-expanding/fun works, please do not consider them advertising… I tried cutting the link in a bunch of ways while KZhead just doesn’t allow me to publish a comment without hiding it, so… here’s something to view the TXT on Google Drive: 1jrhkC7HA-oGpLdcbjD3zMYEsnZrAxGwT
same
there's something oddly nostalgic about seeing a minecraft house being built only with oak wood and cobblestone again lol
I still build them like that though
Same
I just do that normally
i do that when im in survival and too lazy to get materials 😭
wait this is old? I do it all the time
These builds aren't very complex or fancy but they perfectly capture the feel of the game.
Fr, that's very early 2010's minecraft i love it
@@-starlit4911 It's a classic style I could never replicate today, I try too hard.
@@The_NJGstop trying. Load some alpha MCPE version, disable smooth lighting, limit render distance to 2 chunks, and fps to 20. Then, and only then, build what your soul tells you to build. 😂
That lore hasn’t received enough credit, that was mad sick
Agreed! The lore got me! Glad I stayed till the end of the video!
Right???
I was confused the entire time and generally and sincerely saying, annoying and unnecessary :/
There was lore???
i wish it was him riding the roller coaster instead.
At last, we now have an entire series of videos covering all four books on how to play Minecraft, the way Mojang intended it. Kinda crazy how each video was made by a different person, huh?
fr
Sbeev made a video on this 2 years ago.
@@knights4eva981 oh worm, i see that now lol

That house honestly feels so nice and cozy
nostalgic too
Built it in 3rd grade from the handbook on the school ipad
@@jackkrason8363i am JUST NOW realizing that there is legitimately a small but very real veteran group of us who did this build in MCPE
It’s just how I build my houses since it’s fast and cost efficient (compared to any other thing that has to look decent)
@@Treityn.still do it now currently living in it with a farm out back in a realm
I clicked on this video for a simple build of nostalgia and got a whole lore filled experience
2:21 the "stage" is to add a grill that they show how to build somewhere in the book
Clever man
It would be nice if mojang made another set of these books which have stuff from the new updates
They have

but it is the best house…
@@Duskfv not.
@@smudgethecat8315 Definitely the best house wdym
@@perhaps.........4108 maybe to mojang but the community has moved on in building
@@smudgethecat8315 nah best house ever, modern builders got nothing on this masterpiece
That house in the thumbnail is nostalgic. I distinctly remember the smell of the books. I had all four (three original books and a fourth revised edition). I remember trying some of the circuits then realizing some didn’t work because I was playing an un-updated version of Xbox 360 Minecraft.
8:48 That was just 🗿
The lore really confed me as a new viewer 🤣
i don't know what "confed" means but i absolutely agree with it

Is no one going to talk about the fact that he had TWO swords in ONE slot and they STACKED. Timestamp: 1:21
I didn't even realize
I NOTECED THAT ASWELL
yeah how???
Um
1:21
Did anyone notic he had two diamond sowrd stacked
This is still my go-to house in every creative or survival world I play.
Dude, I remember struggling to build this in my old PE world, during the golden age. Good times, man. Also the mistake with stone and wood, absolute classic.
IKR
I remember repeatedly building the house in every survival world that I would make, then filling it up with cats and dogs, then leaving the world and doing it all again during Minecraft’s golden age 12/10 time of my life would relive again
Aaahh, as the founding fathers intended...
Dang that house is in a dangerous place. When step off and you’ll fall thousands of feet into an ocean
I remember sitting in bed listening to my dad read me the combat handbook. Asking him to read the part about spiders just because I knew he didn’t like them🤣 I miss that book😢

@@Key-Knight87 he’s not dead lol
@@stopsnstuff5096 Oh my bad.
I remember trying to make the house a few years ago with my cousin, I placed a fireplace inside without putting anything non-flammable around it. Let’s just say, we didn’t have that house anymore after that
Who else brought the 4 sacred minecraft guides to friends sleepover so we could study them while playing?
He’s gonna be big one day I promise
i love how it went from building a house to blowing up an entire city with loud electronic music
The fact that someone in my minecraft world built this exact house and now i'm seeing it built in videos 4 years later is something else
Time to bring out the three horsemen
imagine building these builds in survival....
How did you have 2 diamond swords stacked?? 1:20 P.S the lore is so crazy
that’s what i’m saying
The door torch though
@@Kingslayer97 LMAO
I used to build the big house all the time and people were always so impressed with it back in the day before they learned of the books content. It was really good for pixelmon with the extra space for all the machines and such
The ghost scream at 7:19 gave me a HEART ATTACK 🤣🤣
You didn't even do the interior

Can I have the world seed?
I legitimately enjoyed building this house over and over again when I was 8
i remember building this house when i was a kid on my old xbox360, time flies
That would be the best damn house on the server decade ago
Insane that you only have 1.5K subscribers pushing content at this quality
It would be interesting if Mojang released an annual version with build ideas for each update

The building style and choice of blocks is so nostalgic for me. I feel like an old man now. Help my back hurts
I build that old wooden house in my survival world for nostalgia purposes. So cool that someone else had the same idea
I had all four and built this exact house with a floating island house over it from the handbook plus a door from the redstone
I literally built this exact house in so many of my survival worlds back in the day
sus-pension bridge
real
The wooden house is the main house I always build and it will forever be my choice of styled home, and i always upgrade it by making it look better and more detail
8:11 what the FUCK was that???
Veri cool mod
My very first large Minecraft survival house was the first one that you built, it brought back a bunch of old memories
that lore slapped so damn hard; 11/10
2:30 love that tour of the house!
This book helped me so much when I was younger, half of these builds I forgot were from the book, like the gallion, I remember building it with my cousin and forgot about the book completely.
8:23 I believe the reason why the dispenser faces that way is to give the minecart to the player to place down. I dont know about these days cause ive never tried it but minecarts didnt dispense onto rails back then
that ending clip was insane! you did a great job on this vid!
Ah yes, the greatest builds of all time
*places a torch on the door* “that’s a thing?” He said while having two diamond swords in one stack. That’s pretty funny
I remember how my friend gave me this book for my birthday and I absolutely loved it. I still remember how we used the book to build things together
I remember buying these at a book fair and staying up late Friday night adding all the builds to my world ❤
What a good video! Hope this hits the algorithm. Showed up on my recommended feed!
You’ve been playing Minecraft wrong you see back in 2015 MOANG
That book actually helped out a lot with me early with building
how is this dude not famous yet the ending was best ending ever
I flipped out
This is edited so well! Great job
I remember when I was in elementary school we would all get excited about the book fair and I remember they would sell these there. I think I had 3 of them if i remember correctly, nostalgic times.
Saw the thumbnail and immediately recognised the iconic house! I have the book, and I remember building all the structures by following the instructions religiously when I was younger. When it was done, I always customised the builds way too much until they looked worse 😭 Great video, truly a trip down memory lane :)
Amazing! The Mojang guide for building isn't actually too bad by the looks of it, hahaha
I liked the bridge and the ship
you know, back when i was a kid my parents bought me book of "minecraft" constructions. It was pretty fun (and hard to remake) but i remember making that house thousands and thousands of times this was pretty nostalgic, thank you.
I did this exact build like 6 years ago, still one of my favorite things to make
The edits bro 🔥🔥
8:29 matpat be cryin in the corner
It was my childhood dream to build the builds in the construction handbook. And you, sir, have done what I couldn't do. Well done.
Asking if torches on doors is a thing when he had a stack of 2 swords in his inventory
5:37 bro had broke the Minecraft💀
Yeah the tnt at the end really said Ambatublow
5:31 sounds like me when i had to write an essay and do power points in school, lol
That destruction montage went harder than it really should've. Subbed for that alone.
I honestly have taken a lot of inspiration from this book iwhen I was new to minecraft. I've built a lot of floating islands, rollercoasters and throne rooms but I've improved them (did I really back then?) with my creativity.
Your underated also 3:26 was XD
Love how you have a “There we go” counter. I can relate.
man i still have all 4 books crazy how the games evolved from when i was a kid. still play to this day when i’m possessed by the urge to build a random ass kingdom. games come so far from those plank cobble combos. so many colorations and possibilities it’s insane. i’m still figuring out some of the new mechanics i’m so old when it comes to this game
I had all 4 of the Minecraft handbooks and it was such a flex, until my mom sold them in a garage sale without me knowing.
Ah Yes, Mo-Yang
Honestly these builds are not that bad, they feel quite classic whilst still looking good and they use some creative techniques to pull off decorations and stuff.
what the f was that ending
It screwed up my mind... As a builder myself... I feel so demotivated and now my moral has been down
I remember trying to build this, but my version didn’t have connecting stairs yet. So the roof looked weird. Good times.
The author deserves a well done for writing all the books just to tell you how to play the game.❤
I feel like ive been here before, and also feels like a house id find in the old minigame lobby
These builds give off that old Xbox 360/PS3 edition minecraft vibe
Good video thanks 😂
My God, a cool unexpected end, creative, love the video!
you actually helped me build the first house and it took me a while but without you i would never be able to do it
hearing that music while watching a block guy build in a timelapse once more brings a smile to my face
Sometimes we just need to follow and not ask questions... -The Writer of the book
Give this man an Oscar for that editing at the end
I remember getting all 4 of the old handbooks at my schools book fair thing, I instantly built the first house on my crappy survival world on my xbox, good times fr.
I love hoy cobblestone and wood planks were literally the only blocks to build back in the day
That house brings back great memories
4:38 I saw it a while ago but I forgot where and now I finally found this I'm actually gonna use this design❤
I remember building the first house in a server with a bunch of my friends and I lived there with some of them. this was way back in like 2016-2017. I miss those days
I remember in first grade rushing past everyone fighting for this Minecraft book, it brings back so many memories I can still remember the sent of the book as odd as that sounds
