  • Welcome to the Little Giant family, I have a few recommendations after having some experience with our 100lb LG. First oil it every where before you run it and again every hour chainsaw bar oil is best but you can use any thick oil, the arms should have holes in them where the pins are, and up top on the main shaft there are holes and with a funnel area you fill those up one is covered up by your motor mount, and the ram slide should be oiled top and bottom. Replace the spring asap and performance will again go up. It should have oil all over it and be spinning oil all over the shop thats when you know you have enough.

  • As a mechanical engineer i can say, that most of your motors power goes to waste, because you use a V-belt on a wheel for a flat belt. There is just nor enough friction to transfer your power. Machine yourself a just cylinder too put instead of the v-belt pulley (no crowning needed, the crowned part is on the hammerand you only need one side crowned) and use either a leather flat belt or a new rubber flat belt with reinforced core. If you need more info contact me ;)

    @Joseu124@Joseu1245 жыл бұрын
    • I run mine with 2 v belts on a 1 horse motor and it's literally never slipped, they are not even that tight because the clutch the belts ride on has to move. This kind of trip hammer works by momentum, u just have to get it spinning. They were originally ran off jackshafts in the ceiling and flat belts but little giant recommended 2 v belts and a 1 horse motor for a 25 lb machine, they even sell aftermarket motor mount kits.
