Hey Martin, Just a quick heads up, we are in year 3 sorry year 4 now, after watching your DVD on T-Shirt printing, we slowly expanded out and have no had to move to a unit outside the house as our equipment was going into the lounge, the shed was full etc, and its been a recent and progressive move. We've just got into the sublimation side of printing, hence why i am watching over some of your vids. We are doing extremely well both Locally (irlam Manchester ) we are the only printer in the area, and also via eBay, our own website. We doubled turn-over year on year, and will be taking on staff within a few months, as I want to be designing more. Anyway we are doing good i am full time, my partner helps out now and then as she has a good job, but she's looking to come on full time this year.. Just want to say its been a graft and late nights expecially over the xmas period, but all worth it. So Thanks again for your video's I am still a member of your private group you set up once you buy the DVD, but i've forgot the login details to that, so a massive thanks for everything you taught us along the way, there is probably a few tips and tricks i could teach you now lol, and we found our own ways of working, but for £25 i think i paid for the DVD, it was the best money i have ever spent!, and best move i ever did. Feel free to check me out kraftwork custom design, I can vouch for starting a t shirt printing business or mug or sublimation business, and if you are willing to do the research and work hard you can make good money doing it! Onwards and upwards 2018 is going to be a great year, wish everyone luck if your starting out Phil :-)
A great story Phil and i'll pin your comment so others can see what's possible with a little commitment and the drive to succeed. Well done. Cheers Martin
Hi Phil, great to hear youre doing great with your business. I have been thinking about this for quite a long time with a confused mind. if you dont mind me asking how much do i need to invest first time to start up? i want to start with both mug and tshirt printing as well as its quite scarce where i live.
What dvd? I can't find a link?
8 years on and I'm a big fan of Butler's Empire .....was really interesting to see you in your printing business. You're a natural behind the camera Martin and i bet your video tutorials were ace !
I appreciate that!
We started printing from home in 1994. By 96 we were in an indoor market framing the stuff we were printing, and for the last 24 years in a high street shop with staff framing stuff. Three months into the CV19 lockdown with no work I'm eyeing up my garage for a home based business that will fit in it the new ways of the world. Funny how things come full circle. I have a 21 year old Roland vinyl cutter we bought new - and the thing still works! 🤔
Love you both! Thanks for all the info and encouragement!
I am following Martin for 2 years now, saving up money at the moment to start my printing business. I love this guy and his wife - the charisma is wonderful and always makes me smile watching Martins videos.

Hey, thanks for watching the vid. Cheers Martin
Thanks for the look into your operation.
Very informative videos mate, I can tell you right now there are people out there who pay a fortune to learn all the things you have put on here just to share your knowledge of the business I really appreciate that. I am a novice when it comes to t-shirts printing and mug printing but it is something I would like to embark on first as a hobby then just roll it slowly into a passive income business, again thank you for the information, I have subscribed to your channel and will definitely purchase your tutorial DVD.

Martin/Sharon firstly let me say that your videos are great, jam packed with useful information, I really appreciate just how much info you share, I have been toying with this idea for a business for many years and finding someone who can help me avoid so many mistakes is a godsend, and please don't slow down i like these videos just the way they are.
+Tony Beadle Thanks Tony, glad you are enjoying the videos. cheers Martin
I would like to earn a full time living from this business, so hearing how much things cost and seeing all the things that are possible is very eye opening, would really like to see a complete breakdown of complete startup cost and running cost and profit margins etc, I don't suppose that information is on your dvd by any chance, many thanks
Tony Beadle I don't operate like that Tony, If I would have used the traditional business plan format, you'd never get going. I started off selling the odd mug and over the years, we have sold thousands. I looked at it by investing around £600 into the mug biz at the beginning and looked at £4.00 profit per mug and that's what we still do now. Some mugs we sell for £8.99 depending on the niche. It was not the intention of the dvd to give forecasts as this is totally dependent on the person's efforts. All I can really say is we have been doing it for 10 years and made thousands. Cheers Martin
+Martin Butler Thank you Martin for your reply.

nice video martin, we had an order of 800 mousepads, took a full set of cartridges and 11hrs printing on our richo printer the quality was amazing, client was so happy they ordered another 800pcs, bulk systems dont work when it comes to sublimation...love watching your videos, take care
+Lakis Ambizas That's great. I totally agree, the Ricoh printers are the way to go for sublimation. Mine has performed faultlessly. Thanks for sharing. Cheers Martin
+Martin Butler what type of ink for the printer and where to purchase

+MzBerry That's great. Good luck. Cheers Martin
You guys are so funny...
Hello and great videos you made for everybody and thank you for taking the time to teach us important things about heat transfers . I would like to ask you something if you can use any 100% cotton T-shirts or 50/50 blend to sublimate or do you have to put a special coating on the shirts before you put your designs on them.
For t shirt transfers, you can print on any 100% cotton or any other 50/50 blend t shirt but if you use sublimation inks, you can only print on certain polyester type t shirts and not 100% cotton unless you are using a special transfer product called sublitocotton, I have done a video on this product but it doesn't last very well. Cheers Martin
Thank you for taking the time to answet my question Martin Butler.
I really like the smash proof boxes over at subliblanks
Thanks for the free information can I ask what’s the best equipment to buy I pretty much no nothing about it all but I do know getting the best equipment will be essential for the product to be correct many thanks
Check out my other vids to see what I use.
Hello Martin great video, very informative. I had made up my mind to get a Stahls heat press, but after watching some of your videos, I am starting to be convinced that Galaxy is pretty good. Do you think now in 2023 the Galaxy heat press is still the same good quality and standard as when you bought yours. They look well made, with a great design. Thanks in advance, I intend to peruse your channel, and check out your other videos. Thanks again.
I've had no problems with them.
I was really interested in what you were about to say as to the mug printer so Sharon next time let him finish lol
Your doing amazing job, so luv to learn from u! U two are great team
Thanks Patricia, glad you are enjoying the vids.

I’m thinking to start this business
Subscribed!
+barrymonger Cheers bud. :)
lol this is brilliant
Thanks Mickey. Cheers Martin
My friend you are awesome, god bless you and your lovely wife. I truly appreciate your videos, I have my own business as well, I'm in lynn Massachusetts us. I own a Roland BN-20 and I do shirts, hats, banners and stickers. I've started with a direct to garment printer but that was to much Meintenance, so I went with heat transfer Vynel and printable heat transfer. I use Corel draw and I've been doing it for around 5 years. I love it. Just like you I do it from home and I also use eBay for 16 years. Good stuff bud. I freaking love your accent my friend, lol all I kept thinking was of the Gaico lizard, (no disrespect intended) but yes you are great buddy. Thanks
Hey Osvaldo, glad you are enjoying my channel bud. Hope your biz is doing ok. All the best Martin
Hey any advice on getting attention on eBay , or is it just a time thing ? Cause I've tried everything all the way down to contacting eBay and having their rep help me reword and reprice everything and still not one sale lol I have a website but not much there either but still more than eBay
If you send me a message on the "contact us" page on my ukinternetmarketingschool website, i'll give you a few tips.
Dude.. what a brilliant video.. made me chuckle... Aware this is 5 years ago.. are you still going strong? Love Sharon btw

@@reviewthat aww cool.. thankyou..
@@reviewthat also where can I get your dvd for training or is there a download option.. cheers buddy
Hi, can I ask, I use sublimation ink, do you suggest something else, first time watching your videos, amazing
Great video. I am about to start trying mug pressing for personal use. Then maybe go further with it. I am newbie. So i have got my products on the way. I am fimilar with the silhouette as i have got the portrait. But what program would you say good start with illustrations with someone with not much experience.
You do get the software with the silhouette cameo that allows you to import images and create different text characters but if you want to design your own stuff and don't want to spend out on adobe photoshop, you might want to look at GIMP photo editing software. It's a free programme and pretty much like photoshop.. Google it. There are tutorials on KZhead. Cheers Martin
Martin I don't see many videos dealing with caps. Would live to see a dvd about pressing caps. Have not had great success with them but perhaps because my caps are not 100% cotton and the transfers don't show well.
I'll try and do some tutorials. Cheers Martin
+Martin Butler good morning and thank you!

Hi Martin, Ive been watching loads of your videos, bought your tshirt dvd and udemy mug course....just wanted to ask, I have a ricoh printer that I use for the mug pressing....can I use this printer for t shirt transfers too? Havent really got the room for more than 1 printer....if not, may give the t shirt idea up. Love the work you and Sharon do!x
HI Gaynor, Yes you can but using sublimation inks for t shirt printing can be very dear and they may not take properly on the transfer papers. Cheers Martin
HAHAHA!! YOU ARE A NUT!! (that means I Love YOU! (in a manly kind of way)) I'm trying to "ease into" the sublimation business and I'm on my way to purchase your course. I'm sneaking up on 60 years old and I'm not going to be able to do my current job forever because of the physical requirements. So I'm hoping to work my way into doing exactly what YOU do. (except doing all the videos etc. It takes a special kind of person to commit to that effort and I'm glad that YOU are that kind of person!!
Hey Mel, 60 years young, luckily there is no age restriction in doing this as I have people well into their 70's still doing this. All the best Martin
Hi Martin, enjoying the videos I'm wanting to know where I can buy the Galaxy auto slide heat press 16×20
I got mine from Subliblanks. I did a review on this press.
Love these videos. What did you use to print on the black shirt?
T shirt transfer papers.
Love you channel, but I really love the chemistry you & Sharon have, y'all are great! Now let me check out your other channel.
+mamatosh05 hey, thanks for your support and thanks for the sub on my other channel. Best wishes Martin
+Martin Butler can you tell me where u guys purchase the boxes and the bags to put shirts in and what type of heat press you have
+Martin Butler the mug press too
HI Teressa, All that info is in our training dvd's on my ukinternetmarketingschool website in the product's menu. Cheers Martin
K
Hi Martin, quick question for you, I print mugs that cover quite a large area and print close to the handles, I was going to buy a Galaxy press but I just want a spare for now so I might buy another BestSub with the 2 mug capacity, but what I really want to know is have you ever used a Mug oven with the wraps and how do they compare to a clamped press? if you use a mug oven in your training vids fair enough but I have not heard you mention them. Thanks.
No, I don't use them bud so I can't really comment.
Could I get the link for your business page? Where you can sign up and you give lessons on how to start your own printing company. Think your video was the best I’ve seen so far! Many thanks
www.udemy.com/course/how-to-start-a-t-shirt-transfer-printing-business-from-home

+Mary Thurman We're in our 11th year now and still going strong lol. Cheers Martin
Hi Martin, do you think I could use that heat press for football shirt printing? Thanks for all your help. Subbed to both channels as well
+Cameroonay Yes, this is ideal for football shirts or any sports garments. Thanks for the subs. Cheers Martin
+Martin Butler - Can you layer vinyls or decalls over each other on a tee then use the heat press? Example: A cheerleader megaphone, then on top of it, initials? Is it a two-point process? Thank you!!
Hey Martin, other than selling on ebay, do you sell off of a website?
just subscribed
+Tony Twist Cheers bud :)

Do you recommend a specific brand heat press for t shirts and mugs? You may have stated it, I saw the label machine you showed he brand, but I may have missed the heat presses!
I don't recommend any presses but I can only tell you what I use and mine now is a Galaxy Auto clam 16"x20" and it's been great. Cheers Martin
Oh, and so you recommend the mug machine? Are they expensive? I’ve also downloaded a free version of Photoshop so now I need to learn how to do graphic design! Thank you!!!
I share some basic Photoshop stuff in my training dvd for mug printing.
@@reviewthat where do you find that. I can't find a link anywhere
Hello again What would I expect to pay for blank mugs and blank tshirts? Can you recommend any suppliers for both Love the banter on your videos Adie
+adrian hopper A box of 36 blank mugs is about £30.00 and t shirts around £1.40. I use different suppliers for the mugs depending who has stock and Absolute Apparel for garments.
Hi Martin I follow all your great videos and have your DVDs . I have a complete set up, website, fb, etc and don't get orders 😪. What am I doing wrong . Thanks in advance Kevin
+Derbys65 I would need to know how you choose t shirt designs before I answer that. You can send me a private message if you like. Cheers Martin
Hi Martin. A quick question for you. I've received a message from eBay regarding the need to use product identifiers on all listings from February. Have you heard of these before & how are people supposed to add them to individual product designs such as T's & mugs? I'm looking into it at the moment & as far as I can tell I'll only need to add one pertaining to the original product as supplied by the manufacturer. Could really do without this nonsense but apparently I won't be able to list items without them. Cheers
+Dug's Den I understand the following is an option : If the product identifier information is not available, you can select 'Does not apply' when creating or revising your listing. Cheers Martin
+Martin Butler thx Martin. I read about that option but was just concerned about the bit that said you will not be able to list items without it. Cheers
We'll have to wait and see. Cheers Martin
Hi Martin. I am thinking about getting the US Cutter 34”. Where can I get the patterns for stickers and shirt logos?
It depends on what you want to create bud and if you have any Photoshop skills. Its pretty easy to create silhouettes and add text to create unique t shirts or have a look at Google images and type in "silhouette" and see what comes up.
I love your videos! Where do you suggest buying t-shirts from?
Depends where you are located in the world bud. Plenty of suppliers out there. Cheers Martin
I guess I should have mention that. Texas, US
Christy Brown Try and find a heat press supplier and ask them as they will know suppliers.
thanks!
Hello again martin! Back to pester you lol What do you think of stahlls presses? Are they any good?
+adrian hopper Yes, I had a Stahls Hotronix for 9 years. I now have the Galaxy. Cheers Martin
Hi Martin, just look at SubliBanks website. The Mug Starter kits look very good to start with, What your thoughts
+Steven Simpson If I was starting now, that's what I would get as it's basically what I have now. Cheers Martin
still a business adventure i was thinking of! hmm... do i? instead i went to window cleaning, ps.. what camera do you use martin~
+JamesAquariumz I mostly use my Gopro hero 3 black edition for my vids as it's got good wide angle vision. Cheers Martin
Hi Martin I did try to buy the equipment from subliblanks like you suggested but my emails and phone call never been reply ! Sad. Any way i did purchase your dvd ( mug last year and yesterday T-Shirt training ) and I follow your youtube channel , Thanks for your suggestion Great learning . Ciao ( I did subscribed your new channel )

HI Marti , What is the paper you use for t shirt printing? for light and dark transfers?
I share that in my training dvd at ukinternetmarketingschool.com/my-products/t-shirt-transfer-printing-training-dvd/
We are in 2018 and this video was 2 and + years ago, she seemed stressed, not happy, your precious other half can get burnt out. Word of caution, watch for those signs, running business from home can be rewarding but very demanding sometimes, god bless.
Not at all, we love being together every day and have been that way 38 years.
Wait so how do you print for your tshirt do you use plastisol heat transfers, vynl or transfer paper

Hi Im told once the council finds out you'll be made to pay a part of the council tax as business rates. In addition when you come to sell your house you will be taxed extra. Do you know anything about this or faced such problems?
That's private info for my Accountant.
