Prior to this fight although he was a good fighter who built up a nice win streak, it looked as though he would have a forgettable career especially after it appeared Usman would once again retain his title. The quiet and overlooked Leon did in 1 fight what the more popular loudmouths Colby and Jorge couldn't do in 4 fights.

I don't think you guys realize, some people just don't see it because you haven't watched combat sports long enough; but you comprehend these things sometimes and get goosebumps. @7:45 - Leon kicks the leg, Kamaru checks it by lowering his hands. @7:47 - Leon throws another, Kamaru once again checks it and subconsciously is once again lowering his hand. @7:49 - Leon pretends to throw another mid/low kick but comes in high; too fast for Kamaru to react accordingly, and the rest is; Poetry. Leon displayed excellent control in this fight in so much as he conditioned Usman to expect low kicks. Leon threw teeps, oblique kicks, inside low kicks, outside low kicks and a few front body kicks but he never went high......until that last one. Usman was so conditioned by that point he parried the punch (feint) and swept (what he thought) was an incoming low kick. The rest is history. 💣 💥

No hate to Usman but the way it played out was literally like a movie, the tension the beaten down Leon the coach hyping the f*** outta him and finally the perfect kick in the last minute. That’s how you deliver the most satisfying ending you could achieve

Prior to this fight although he was a good fighter who built up a nice win streak, it looked as though he would have a forgettable career especially after it appeared Usman would once again retain his title. The quiet and overlooked Leon did in 1 fight what the more popular loudmouths Colby and Jorge couldn't do in 4 fights.

Leon displayed excellent control in this fight in so much as he conditioned Usman to expect low kicks. Leon threw teeps, oblique kicks, inside low kicks, outside low kicks and a few front body kicks but he never went high......until that last one. Usman was so conditioned by that point he parried the punch (feint) and swept (what he thought) was an incoming low kick. The rest is history. 💣 💥
