If you have a insurance plan that covers 100k in property damage, but the damage is more than that because you caused a 5 car collision - they will not pay a dime more than what’s agreed upon in your insurance. The rest is out of your own pocket.

    • Hmmm, maybe a decade would be more reasonable. A person can change a lot in 10 years. Most people change a lot from 22 to 32. Additionally, the hardship of having to get around without a car would likely have a very humbling effect over time. It's hard to go anywhere in America without a car. The day-to-day hardships might beat some gratitude and respectfullness into him.
