    • @@clarymorgenstern956 she mentioned it on one of showterview eps where this song was nominated along with "don't touch me" and few other songs to become the title track for refund sister but eventually don't touch me won. Then they proceed to make it as Jessi's own solo comeback song

  • Yaaasss! I’ve followed Jessi around for a while now, and noticed how she gradually started appearing on more variety shows (particularly Running Man). I love her personality, and am glad that Korean people? fandom? media? tv? (not sure how to describe ) are starting to understand that she’s not being rude, she’s just direct. Can take the girl out of NY, but can’t take the NY out of the girl 😉. I feel like there was hesitation before, but people have gotten to know her and realized 1. She’s a nice person 2. She’s hilarious 3. Being direct is a good thing. I also think P Nation was a good move for her.

  • I was really expecting SOMEONE to talk about the girls draped all over the colorful scene! I thought it was an allusion to fairytale romances. The other girls ate the apples and died/fainted like Snow White. Jessi just ate it, spit it out, and was immune. Evil witches and princes to the rescue don't stand a chance. Anyone else out there have a theory for that scene?

    • I think that specific scene, like some other scenes in the MV, mocks the damsel in distresses. Orrr maybe there's a more fitting word than "mock" but that's just me.

    • Maria 49 - I feel that read. Same with "chained up" scene -- she uses a poison smoke bomb and the dudes are taken out, but she's immune. Men, women, no difference: Jessi will "kill'em" all to take that throne.

    • I know exactly what you mean about the "in a friendly way" thing. She's a bad b to be sure, but she's not putting anyone down. She's playful, mischievous. The little smiles throughout the video show that she's not taking herself or her (assumed by society) image too seriously.

  • Tbh, I think what really jumpstarted her popularity was when she did Sister Slam Dunk with Tiffany from SNSD and the rest of the amazing cast. Tiffany being her long time friend and fellow Korean-American really shined a light on how Jessi was misinterpreted in S. Korean media. Not to mention Jessi finally got to show her real personality all throughout the show. I think since then, she's really been flourishing. So happy to see it and wish they'd do another season of Sister Slam Dunk with the original cast members.

  • After listening to Nunu Nana, I was really looking forward to Jessi's next comeback. I'll admit, I was 50/50 on What Type of X when I first listened to it but once I started watching music show performances for the song, the chorus and the main choreo were playing a loop in my head and I was not mad about it 🤪

  • This song is so different and epic as a fan view, I think it really represents what she wants people to know and to cheer people up in this current culture which always judges some groups of people in a certain way. Unlike some popular or formal hip pop songs, this song has that "jessi" vibe, like savage but friendly, it's not that aggressive compare to her previous songs and I love it 🥺

  • 100% agree! my favorite single so far. we got to see more of her through variety shows like Showterview, 놀면 뭐하니?, Running Man, Six Sense (she is a full time cast member alongside Jae-Suk, Oh Na Ra, So Min, and Mi Joo. suchh a great show w/ a S2 coming soon)... all in 2020. then Psy making her great songs like this 👌🏻 just soo happy for her. such a hard worker and she really deserves all her success.

  • Yes. I love this song very much because it is different from what Jessi usually do. Love the add of rock element to it with that like electric bass guitar. It already adds a different vibe. Love how it's not always so hip hop and or rnb.
