After the busy Christmas fixture period, Crouchy, Chris and Sids decide to have a bit of a mid season review of their own
The lads reflect on the impact that the busy Christmas schedule can have on teams who start to stutter and suffer burnout, as well as those teams who welcome the slowed down schedules in January.
Not only is it tough at the top, but the relegation zone isn’t too much fun either! The lads look at the teams on the other end of the table who will be feeling the heat in the second half of the season and those teams snapping at their heals in the playoff battles.
On a separate note, Crouchy also gives a bit of insight on who some of his dream guests on the podcast would be including Not Sir David Beckham, Kim Jong Un and the one and only Sir Rod Stewart!

Whoever thinks the 9 darter is harder than a 147 is DELUDED!
It’s literally 9 perfect shots or 36 hmm I wonder what’s harder 😅 plus the cue ball positioning is just stupidly hard
Got to get Jimmy Bullard on the podcast
Super Ally McCoist on the pod would be a great guest. Funny and has a load of great stories.
It would but he had a spell in the Scottish league which blemishes his career
Pod wars, get Ben Foster, Gary Linekar, Troy Deeney all on to fight it out to be crowned ultimate podcast
Tom Fordyce back for one episode
Morning boys 🫡⚽️ another great episode, Are you with me 😂
147 is deffo the hardest. I play all 3 (not great at any of them) but ive seen people get hole in 1's on a par 3 by simple hitting and hoping, with the 9 darter i do think its very hard but ive hit a 180 before and im pretty rubbish, so for someone whos played darts their whole life i dont think its actually that hard, what makes it hard is the prrssure of being on TV and doing it but i bet all the top players do it at home or in practice on a regular basis. The 147 to me is the hardest because you have to play 36 perfect shots in a row with perfect control of the cue ball for every shot. We have a darts team at our local snooker hall and a few of us were debating this and id say 90% of lads from both darts and snooker said the 147 would be harder. There lads that have never played darts that can pick a set up and hit treble 20s on their first day. Someone whos never picked up a cue before would struggle to pot a single ball on a snooker table.
@@dannybuck2047 ive been playing snooker twice a week consistantly for about 2 years and my highest break is 33 lol, its so hard to break build., im a good potter but my cue ball control is terrible. Ill pot a red & play for the black and end up having to play for the blue or green bcus ive gone 3-4ft too far , then i over compensate and play the next one 2ft too short, its such a frustrating gane to play. 🤣🤣
Loving the work boys, as its Euro.24 , lets go big and get Southgate on.
Phil "The Power" Taylor! He's a Vale fan, get him on the pod!
literally in stitches on this one
Jason Sakudis 😂😂
I'm glad someone else noticed this.
Get Jimmy Bullard on boys
Another good pod lads, 3rd time lucky asking if you could get Tony Pulis on the pod?
He's already been on mate, was on one of the COVID episodes I think
As someone from Skem I can only assume he hasn’t fell in love, although with the amount of roundabouts here he might just have gotten stuck/lost here and thought fuck it I’ll just manage the football club! Darren Anderton for the big guest, played in Euro 96, was there for Becks red card in 98, played with the icon that is Jurgen Klinnsmann, and was infamous for all his injury issues, but every manager club and international wanted to select him. Definitely a 147, you have to be absolutely perfect for so many shots and so many variables, golf and darts just aren’t matching that.
No one ever falls in love with Skelmersdale.
I need to see Abbey Clancy hit a 9 darter. Crouchy make this happen ! 😂
Get 'Big Norm' on, Mark Crossley! Some of his 'Cloughie' stories and impressions are unreal!
Ask Shaun Murphy what's harder he's had a 147 ,9 Darter and a hole in one ?
Suprised to hear my town mentioned, i dont recommend visiting Skem (skelmersdale) 😂😂
Ray Winston!!! great guest!
Family and friends keeping you grounded for teenage success is vital.
Ronnie O'sullivan, Bob Mortimor, Geoff Stelling, Chris Kamara
“I rove manchder shitty” my Kim jon un impression.
Loving the podcast as always. Need to go to the next Crouchfest!! My family tradition is the first born son always have there dads name as there middle name. Crouchy's son's middle names should be Harry as it seemed like he was Harrys love child and Harry loved him more than his own son Jamie 😂😂😂😂
1. 147 Break (15 reds 15 Blacks 6 colours = 36 shots 2. 9 darter = 9 throws 3. Hole in 1 = 1 drive
Seriously tho. You compare this pod to the other 2. Micah linekar Shearer. Fair enough. Lots of knowledge. A bit of 'banter'. Then you've got the likes of Gary neville and carragher. All nice (kind of) Fair dos. But then we have this. The Podcast of all podcasts. It all boils down to who you'd choose to go down the pub. Give me notorious, bbcqplus and Peter 8 days a week. It's almost too good. I love it xxx💙🔥 You with me?
Get Stan Ternett on - He has some amazing stories from his days back in management 😁
Fart wakes dog - I'm here crying with laughters 😅😅😅
You've always a chance at a 9 darter, a 147 sometimes you may be the one breaking or on the receiving end of a good break off, 147 hardest for me!
Matt Lucas just said on TV he LOVES football and is doing the new fantasy football so he could be a good choice! Rod Stewart would be amazing. Frank Skinner & David Badiel if you haven’t had them already. Beckham would be amazing! Gary Neville is pretty funny these days. Ryan Reynolds & McElhinney? Gazza.
Does anyone know the name of the app with the sleep recordings chris was using?
13:06 the camera shaking when Crouchy hits the table laughing. 13:13 the camera shaking because of the passion of the crouch (on darts)
Guest goals, Garth Southgate, Gary Linker and a Lioness Mary Earps
Got excited thinking Chris wouldn't be on this podcast
Kevin Nolan the chicken man himself would be a good hoot on the pod. Maybe even talk about promotion now were getting closer and closer to the end of the season.
147 has to be the hardest
Question: What is the team reaction behind close doors to players making costly mistakes in a game? Banter, serious grudges, actual breakdown of relationships?
Absolutely no chance a 9 darter is harder than a 147. It's not just making the shots it's having to leave the white in exactly the right spot afterwards, 36 times.
Bizarrely Crouchy, I worked with a James who went by his middle name of Bruce as well. Mad sports fan and probably old enough to be your dad too thinking about it
There is absolutely no doubt that the order should be 3) Hole in one, 2) 9 Darter, 1) 147. How this is even a debate is beyond me.
Here's something that should settle the "which is harder" debate. Since 1999, there have been 461 9 dart finishes in PDC history. Since 1982, there have been 196 147 breaks in professional snooker. They have about the same number of participants at each event, so you can basically line them up as an apples-to-apples comparison, whereas golf has more competitors, more leagues, more events, and instead of having a handful of possibilities to have a 9 darter or a 147 per tournament, you get 18 each of 4 days. Basically, you can chuck everything Starky said in the bin, and you don't even need to be a stats pervert to see this. On average, there are about 19 9 darters per year, and the most 147s that have *ever* happened in a single year is 12. So, until someone does a deeper dive into the stats, the hole-in-one is kind of a in a weird category. In your lifetime, you're more likely to hit one, simply because of the increased attempts and differences in playing surfaces. It will kind of boil down to your definition of what is more difficult. Is it the more difficult task to accomplish in a standard event? Probably the 147. However, if you mean, is the likelihood of someone, cue in hand, darts in hand, or club in hand to record a 147, a 9 darter, or a hole-in-one, on that attempt the lowest, that's probably going to be the hole-in-one. But the 9 darter is definitely the least difficult of the 3.
The 147 has to be harder
Same as my uncle crouchy his name is John David stokes but we all call him uncle Dave because everyone was called John or Johnny in my family.🤣
Hole in one - 1 shot Nine darter - 9 darts 147 break - 36 shots It’s gotta be the 147. Big question would be. Are there any professional golfers who have never had a hole in one? Are there any professional darts players who have never done a 9 darter? Are there any professional snooker players who have not done a 147?
Kim jong un wanting luke the nuke 😂😂😂
Dele Ali, Teddy Sheringham, Jimmy Bullard
Love the pod, how about Ian Wright, Kate Abdo or Ben Foster.
Seconded!
What’s the sleep recording app !?
Danny Dyer would be a great guest.
Depends whether comparing novices or professionals. You could fluke a hole in 1 without ever playing golf. Unlikely you could do the same with a 9 darter and no chance with a 147. However amongst pros, I believe there are slightly more 147s than 9 darters. Not sure how common hole in 1 is on the pro tours.
Other way round. Since 1999, there have been 461 9 dart finishes in PDC history. Since 1982, there have only been 196 147 breaks in professional snooker.
Bobby Z. Love that bloke. Jimmy Bullard obviously. 2 good guests. Have Bentley on again him and bullard are mental.
Picking you're spine of a team, United have been very poor but Jonny Evans deserves an honourable mention!
A dart board is obviously always in the same spot, the trebles/doubles never move position. During a 147 a player has to plot their way around the balls/table which is different on every single occasion. With that and the fact its 36 shots compared to 9 darts at a fixed position, id say a 147 is far more difficult.
Glad they acknowledged “Are you with me?” 😂
Wayne Rooney!? Good guest
I reckon Mark Crossley or Dean Saunders would be great guests, both great storytellers
What's the sleep recording app?
My list would be: Roy Keane. Jimmy Bullard. Yaya Toure Mila Kunis Ravel Morrison Wayne Rooney Ben Foster Ryan Reynolds and Rob There's more but I'll settle with the above for now.
Peter!! Your so cool! In FC mobile card you got 91 rated
Good on you Pete for acknowledging the quality in Villa’s squad. Your shouts for Konsa and Douglas Luiz were noted 👍🏻
The tone in which Andy was told, it's not the 1st time
What’s the app that Chris stark was on about the fart one
If you want someone from an pop/indie band who's also a football fan, it might also be worth getting Damon Alban on x
Get Joey Barton on. BBC Chris would love that. Nice easy one.
12:07 darts is more of a routine than snooker
You got to get Jude Bellingham on the pod
daniel craig would be cool done some things with liverpool so would know abit
GET GAZZA
please explain parched
Get Jose Mourinho on here, he's got time. Also he can clear up the attempt to sign Crouchy. :D If you wanna have some crossover dudes, Rafa Nadal, Andy Murray. I'd really like to hear from Brandon Aubrey, the kicker for the Dallas Cowboys. He was drafted by a defender for Toronto FC in the MLS, couldn't crack it there, and then somehow became a kicker in the NFL. So, the shallow NFL reporters always gloss this over. They'll mention that he switched from MLS to the NFL, but until I looked him up just now I had no idea he was a defender. I thought he'd be an attacking player. I'd be interested to hear about his career arc from the football perspective, and maybe you guys can go out and try kicking the American football around.
Get Joey Barton on boys. He spoke very highly of Crouchy on Tubes' golf show. I'm a 50 year old Scouser, I was there when Crouchy scored the perfect hattrick and the overhead kick against Galatasaray. Thanks for the memories Crouchy lad, you'll always be well thought of here in Liverpool la. Carlo, Liverpool.
Chris Stark shat himself at the thought of Luke Littler on the podcast.
Get some old school strikers on, les ferdinand , Di canio
Get Stevie G on when he’s back home crouchy or even Robbie Fowler. Big dunc get him on be funny asf that.
Put Stuart McCall on one of them fitness wabble plates with an open can of beer and see if he can not spill any 😂 p.s. hes my uncles cousin and is a great guy and will never spill a single drop 😂
Try get my uncle on your podcast he would be a good one Bobby Holland hanton Loves football Stunt double to Chris hemsworth Double act for Aaron Ramsey Good friends with Joel ward He would be a good one for sure
Crying 🤣 at fart wakes dog 🤣
3:40. Depends on your definition of success.
Thierry Henry 💥💥💥
Ryan Reynolds please!
Luke Littler wouldnt be a good guest, in every interview I've seen him in, someone will ask him a question and he'll just say "it's crazy, it's mad". I think sometimes people forget he's a literal child and children are rarely that good at speaking at length, maybe wait until he's matured a bit before you get him on lol
I scored at weekend and had a puddings is massive in my skins
Cool
He loves Katy Perry does Kim.
Isn’t there an easy way to settle this? Hole in one is the easiest; then for snooker and darts, how many people have made a 147 and how many people have done a 9 darter? I recon less have done 147
Get Tim lovejoy on
Said same was looking at comments to see who else thought same
@@sportsmanblade just be interesting as he was such a character in the good old non pc days with soccer am and that
@harryrussell6801 ye for me soccer am was the original chat show/podcast on football he probs got the most stories of guests that never got aired like
@@sportsmanblade yeah you know mate, I often find myself searching old soccer am clips just for the nostalgia, those Saturdays mornings were the best, great aaaaage😂
@harryrussell6801 yes full English and a cuppa before getting ready for the big day out watching the bladesmen ⚔️😎
(Charlie) Adam Parch-ridge
147 definitely the hardest out of the three in that particular scenario x
without doubt as the balls can be anywhere. The dart board doesn't move
Disagree on the pressure part. The players should feel the weight from the fans as it means so much to them, so it should spur them on and be motivated to perform. Would worry me as a fan if the players didn’t care.
Crying 😂
Fs, the dog barking 😭😭😭😭
David Beckham and Eddie Hearn
Only the real ones know Chris was in touch with the North Korean embassy
Ramsdale over Vicario? And I thought you were real football lads
147 is the hardest, you can fluke a hole in one, potentially fluke a 9 dart finish, yet it would be a billion to one shot as a non dart player, you can't fluke a 147 at all, not in a million /billion years as a non snooker player.
San Marino Captain
Micah Richards? Jordan Henderson after Saudi Arabia? Get a crazy maverick. Paul Bosvelt. Ben Foster. Super Paul Mcculin
Jimmy bullard be great
Get Gazza on
I want Ryan Reynolds
Dave Seaman
