Great love and bond between people and elephant. In principle, I agree that animals should be free. Then how can I justify people keeping pet dogs in chains? She should not be shackled with chains but in the jungle where she rightly belongs. Animals should be free to roam around in their own habitats with their own kind. I think that it's very cruel to subject these Majestic animals to such humiliation. FREE ALL WILD ANIMALS IN CAPTIVITY LET THEM LIVE AND ROAM AS THEY ARE MEANT TO DO. Actually elephants were assigned to people since old days inorder to prevent their killing from poachers. Their trunk , ivory is a costly material and hunting wild elephants was usual back in old days. So the king decided to save elephants and handed them to the rich guys. They were given names and all kinds of protection as they belonged to be private possessions. Thus the alarmingly decreasing rate of elephant population was put on to a stop. Now there are double no of elephants here than 100 years ago.Please don't judge others based on a single news.These are wild beings at a time of year and needs taming . The chains are to restrict their movements so as to not hurt themselves or anyone else. Also I am pretty sure you don't have any idea of how much we love them. They are considered as love. We feed them , give them treatments for all kinds of diseases and we take care of their existence. That's why it's still legal to posses an elephant. They are increasing. And our love too. .

Elephants are wild animals. I have no respect at all to the people who keep them chained and locked up from doing what they are supposed to do. It is pathetic that humans see other fellow animals as a toy and a way to procure money. Humans are animals too. How would you feel if elephants were smarter than us instead and kept us for doing "pooja" and for doing circus tricks. It is pathetic. It really is.

She should not be shackled with chains but in the jungle where she rightly belongs. Animals should be free to roam around in their own habitats with their own kind. I think that it's very cruel to subject these Majestic animals to such humiliation. FREE ALL WILD ANIMALS IN CAPTIVITY LET THEM LIVE AND ROAM AS THEY ARE MEANT TO DO. It angers me to see animals treated thus. Some human beings are extremely cruel and have no love and respect for other creatures. No wonder this world is in such a terrible mess.

Actually elephants were assigned to people since old days inorder to prevent their killing from poachers. Their trunk , ivory is a costly material and hunting wild elephants was usual back in old days. So the king decided to save elephants and handed them to the rich guys. They were given names and all kinds of protection as they belonged to be private possessions. Thus the alarmingly decreasing rate of elephant population was put on to a stop. Now there are double no of elephants here than 100 years ago.Please don't judge others based on a single news.These are wild beings at a time of year and needs taming . The chains are to restrict their movements so as to not hurt themselves or anyone else. Also I am pretty sure you don't have any idea of how much we love them. They are considered as love. We feed them , give them treatments for all kinds of diseases and we take care of their existence. That's why it's still legal to posses an elephant. They are increasing. And our love too. .
