One thing i love about this movie is that it mixes both the original tales of Robin Hood from stories in medival England with the modern day legends. Instead of being born a noble who loses his land like the modern day stories he is a low born freeman from Yorkshire. Makes the movie more interesting and much more believable.

To really enjoy this film you need to watch it more than once, and you need to watch the directors cut instead. The first time you watch it you are just comparing it to what you think Robin Hood is. The second time you watch the directors cut you realize that this IS Robin Hood, not a cheesy pin up boy with a nice hair do. And the third time you notice all subtle details and really enjoy it.

Tell me this isn't an epic tale! Ridley Scott has managed to create a more gritty and realistic version of Robin Hood, and Crowe brings the character to life with a top performance! A must see.
