What REALLY Happened In The Warren Sapp vs Keyshawn Johnson Beef

2021 ж. 19 Сәу.

After the 1999 NFC Championship game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and St Louis Rams, the Bucs knew that they needed a new weapon on their offensive. And during the offseason the team traded for NY Jets wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson. So with a new look to the 2000 Bucs team, many had them favorites to win the Super Bowl however what transpired before the season kicked off was a beef between Warren Sapp & Keyshawn Johnson.

However NYJ was a cess pool...mans had every right from football and personal views to not wanna be there...go to new team and skips the Voluntary workouts but shows up when he is required and also balls out on the field and backs up Sapp claims of him being needes there...sorry not seeing no grown man as no Bitch...unless im seeing Sapp as a Perv (his charges), arrogant, ahole...etc etc since he took it to the levels of character. • More quietly was the addition of Keenan McCardell on the other side. Keenan also played in the shadow of Jimmy Smith at Jacksonville, but he was a really solid receiver who was good at cutch plays in the tight game endings. Keenan caught two touchdowns in the Super Bowl and was the only receiving TDs the Bucs had in that Super Bowl. Of course it was the great Derrick Brooks who had the key pick 6 that iced the game, putting it far out of reach for the Raiders. Brooks is my favorite Buccaneer of all time. Ronde Barber runs a close second even if just because of his pick 6 against the Eagles to advance the Bucs to the super bowl. That was the most exciting pick 6 in Bucs history IMHO and should have helped Barber into the HOF, along with his career 40/20, which makes him as the only other player to achieve that goal of 20 sacks and 40 INTs. Then why is he still not in the HOF? No one will forget that 92 yard pick six against Philly. Especially since Philly had knocked the Bucs from the playoffs multiple times. It was one of the most memorable plays in playoff history. Less remembered was a key sack that Barber had made on McNabb, that stopped an earlier second half drive, pushing the Eagles out of FG range, forcing them to punt. Preventing that score was as important as his pick six in getting the win over Philly. Those two plays made Barber arguably the most important player in that game. I really hope Barber is selected to the HOF soon.
