    • Same. I understand that using chat to interact with the streamer is why Twitch even exists, but on the VOD for KZhead chat doesn't need to be there. I rarely watch anything on Twitch because I can unfortunately only use the mobile app during the day. What's even more unfortunate is that the Twitch mobile app is poorly optimized for streaming over the cell network even with the video quality turned down to 480 and the user interface is clunky and unintuitive. The best part of the Twitch mobile app is that I can blank my screen and still listen to the audio. I'm sure they will put that behind a paywall at some point like KZhead does.

  • I have to agree with the comments here, I'd say No to the chat overlay. I watch the vods to watch it and have fun, have no need whatsoever to have chat on. Chat is great when you're there and can interact, can't do that here so there's no real point, it's just a bunch of text whizzing by on screen that I can't even read 99% of the time anyway. Nice of you to consider us tho, much appreciated. It's silly asking Twitch chat, because they just want to see their names in a video, most of them likely don't even watch the YT vods tbh.

  • Tango, I don't know if you look much at these VOD comments, but the reason why that one chatter told you not to backpedal (out of getting combo'd) during PVP is because of the way that networking in minecraft works. When you're backpedaling, you're increasing the distance between you and your opponent, but due to ping your opponent doesn't see that increase in distance right away. The server will let them hit you but you won't be able to hit them, and you just get combo'd to death.

    @TheZarcius@TheZarcius15 күн бұрын
    • You can see a perfect example of this at 1:47:00 in the Gem vs. Etho fight, when Etho says "How did you reach me?" he was backpedaling. The distance for him probably looked too far apart for him to get hit, but for Gem it was easy to start a combo

  • As a VOD watcher who can rarely catch livestreams, I liked how Skizz used to put only the most recent chat message under his facecam. It only took up a tiny bit of the screen so it wasn't distracting, but it was nice to see who he was responding to. Plus sometimes I would have a thought about what was happening in the stream, glance at the chat, and see that someone else had the exact same thought as me. But whatever you decide, I am super grateful whenever any streamer has a YT channel for their stream VODs and uploads all of them. I don't have to worry about missing any of the content if I get interrupted, or missing a stream entirely if I have something else scheduled.

I voted on the poll in stream, but it obviously affects the KZhead crowd more than the Twitch viewers. Personally, I'm into having chat included in the VODs. • Planning to watch the whole stream today, but while I'm thinking of it, I personally wouldn't care for the live chat replay. Many vod watchers watch vods because we don't care for or even like livestream chats. Your vod uploads are my podcasts pretty much, I watch to see the shenanigans I missed live, and I watch to listen to your commentary and rambling. Most messages that are important, you tend to read out as well before responding, so like, we're not even missing context on chat messages while watching vods. It's not a deal breaker for me personally, if you add it please make sure it doesn't block the screen too much. I love your vods a whole lot, and your videos, they always make my day to see them appear, so I will stress that this is just my personal opinion and if you add chat overlay I'm 100% still going to be watching haha

  • 24:53 Honestly its not a problem unless the owner is irresponsible, and Im sure Tango wouldn't be. Dogs are among the animals best suited to being human pets because they are increadibly adaptable. One of very few species who are capable of matching humans there. A husky will have 0 issues in Arizona unless it gets left outside in the heat alot and not watered enough, which in phoenix would be too hot for ANY breed. And something really short haired like a pitbull or chihuahua or something would be fine in Greenland as long as they had sweaters on when outside and again aren't LEFT outside. We live in the southwest too, where it gets far hotter in the summer than even the all time record high in scotland, (and also is far colder in winter. Oceanic climates are wierd that way lol). Our westies (from scotland) Labs (from canada), and our husky pitbull lab amalgamation with a very short coat are all fine here. My westie actually loves the shirts so much that in winter if I open the door when he doesn't have one he will run over to the dog stuff box and bring me one and then turn around and lift a paw up. Its absolutely hilarious. I think its like a thunder vest for him cause hes much calmer. But the point is having an arctic breed in the tropics/desert is genuinely not an issue as long as you use basic common sense. Would you go outside in thw winter without a jacket? Or even be indoors without at least a tshirt for that matter? And would you go outside for long periods of time when its 110? No, of course not. But since you do its fine.

Watching live I go through phases of wanting chat open etc, but i can say with no doubt that having chat on a vod without the option to turn it off (i.e. on the screen) is never appealing. I make peace with not having chat since its not live, and enjoy the vod as-is. Sometimes chat can get overwhelming, or the chat can be way off topic and thus be distracting etc, and means that i would tend to rather have the vod on in the background rather than pay attention, in order to avoid seeing the chat. • You could do a four way stone generator with piston feeds to make a 2/2 faced box five blocks deep. By standing with your cursor placed on the corners of all four blocks you can see if it is mining or the stone generation that bottle necks first (presumably bottle necking at mining speed would be “max” efficiency). In addition, for extra difficulty, the lava and water channels could potentially be attached to a stone generator with piston feed tape and tnt blast chamber technology similar to common concrete blast chambers. This would give you a 2/1 machine with cobble auto generating, when you have tnt loaded and turn it on, and an afkable silk touch mining spot for stone. You could even add the option to load the stone into the machine like a regular tnt blast chamber to make cobble if needed.

Also, sometimes chat says some really funny stuff. I got used to it, and now I like it so much that I miss it when I watch vods by youtubers who don't do it. • As a youtube only viewer, I prefer no chat overlay only because you read the question/comment that you're responding to before you respond and I appreciate that so much!! I also typically get distracted when chat is on-screen and I end up JUST reading the chat than watching what you're doing Viewers that want chat overlay can always go to Twitch, but viewers that don't want chat overlay would have nowhere to watch if you added them here :)

  • 1:56:51 idea for solving Bdubs' "hand slap game" problem... Use shields. Instead of "flinching" by moving, the "flinch could be counted when you put your shield up to block maybe? Just a thought

  • He'll never read this but just stream on KZhead and then chat reply is always available for whoever wants it. Chat on video screens ruins videos, it just looks bad and if the streamer does a good enough job responding to chat, then no one needs to see what was said.

  • if you have frost walker boots on armor stand you can use it to detect when the player is close to it by observe the froze water beneath it and when it melts. if you use that to activate and deactivate chunk loader you can make sure that the factory dose not get unloaded randomly and you are only running the chunk loader for a short time while the factory is safely shutting down after the player levees the area

  • A small and transparent chat overlay would be good. I prefer to be able to see the chat when watching streams or vods, to see what people are thinking or what/who exactly you're responding to, things like that. I think, like others have suggested, you should put a poll up on your community tab so you can get an actual vote.

  • I would say having chat overlay in a vod is important if for most of stream you are talking to chat and if isn’t moving too quickly, but otherwise no chat overlay is better. Also if I wanted to read chat I could just go watch the vod on Twitch

  • I would like a chat overlay- but overall it's up to you :3 I'm not sure the greatness of making the poll on the stream about the vodwatchers- because most - is my guess - watch the vods cuz they couldn't watch the stream.

  • I personally like the chat. On twitch you can obviously just toggle it on and off, but since that’s not an option on here, giving a small chat replay on screen would be fun imo. You don’t have to watch it, and if it’s not too large it’s easily ignored. But having the option is something I’d love.

  • Sometimes i like when a streamer has chat on VODs because they'll just respond to chatters without clarifying what the message was. But you tend to contextualize your responses well. I wouldn't mind either way though I think! You have a nice chat environment, with some streamers chat gets very frustrating to watch

  • It'd be cool if the eyes glowed briefly after a blink, like they were ready to glow because it was dark but they reset when they're in the light. kinda like how pupils dilate briefly when you blink. thought a faint glow thats more noticeable in the dark would be cool too.

  • If you can integrate the stream chat so it doesn't get in the way and also can still be read with enough lines and decent font size, then it would be nice to have. Otherwise I also don't mind it not being there. Btw there's a small error in the floor of the redstone shop, in front of the barrels at the crafter/hopper section. Think 2 of the glazed terracottas are rotated wrong.
