- Thank you for not forgetting, like Turkey has. I am not Jewish, but I saw how Israel helped Turkey during the earthquake they had at the beginning of this year! Israel saved many of the Turkish people’s lives, opened an open air hospital, and gave them food… and Turkey bites Israel’s hand? Just goes to show who are true friends, not only “ friends in need”. I am praying for Israel, and I stand with Israel… this war is demonic, caused by Iran/Hamas/ and many civilians in Gaza who participated in the massacre! Unreal how the victims, are now called the perpetrators. We are living in a very “ sick” world! May God help us!🙏🏻

- War is a war, but not at the cost of innocents, or civilians. It is not justified to kill innocents, who are all human beings similar to all of us. The problem is when we start treating other as, having no rights of being human. Humanity is getting dismismantled and the creator of human is watching, that his creator are being killed. He will diffinitely keep accounts of such errors, supporters.

Palestine can't do anything for you. Even if it could, it would never if you went to war against Pakistan. They have their Muslim loyalty above anything else. Israeli here, was interested in the topic and glad for the high production value found in this video. Really like how Palki presents the topic and her narration makes it interesting. - Many years ago in late 1970s when I was a student in Kolkata (then Calcutta) I remember the strictest teacher of the school, telling us about the courage that Israeli men and women had shown during the Six Days and the Yom Kippur wars. It impressed us because we hardly knew anything about your country. In retrospect I realized that he was also criticizing the Indian government for not establishing diplomatic ties with Israel.

- Gandhi never supported partition. He stopped attending the meetings called by Lord Mountbatten, after the "Mountbatten Plan" was revealed. Gandhi didn't even attend the events in Delhi, happening at "the stroke of midnight" on Aug 15, 1947. You are completely free to voice your opinions, but refrain from peddling lies, especially about those who came before us.

I’m afraid that during the tenure of Nehru and Indira Gandhi, India behaved with Israel like an unfaithful husband. Hobnobbing with the mistress who is courted by many, turning to the wife only in case of need. All of us gratefully recall how often Israel has helped India. It is a shame that Nehru refused to have diplomatic ties with Israel. Apart from the reasons that Ma'am Palki stated there was another-he did not want to take a step which he thought might dilute the Muslim vote bank that favoured Congress party in those years which is another proof that his so-called secularism was a sham. It is to the credit of Israeli leaders that despite being repeatedly rebuffed by Nehru and his successors in office, they went out of the way to help our country in times of real need. Soviet Union's collapse forced Narasimha Rao to take a much belated step to establish diplomatic ties with Israel in 1992. Israel is now facing its most serious crises in decades. I am sure that it will defeat Hamas terrorists and emerge stronger.

This is really very informative. Over the years, the relationship between India and Israel has certainly improved, but India still has a warm connection with Palestine. It is certainly not an easy job, but it was never one. Very few countries share a warm relationship with both countries and you have rightfully described the balanced relationship. Today's India has a voice and it does not belong to an exclusive club. India's current politics is fascinating - striking a balance between Russia and the US and so as between Israel and Palestine - not an easy job. Kudos to the architects of modern India!👍✌🙏

Interesting film, but not exactly startling revelations. India's quiet but productive relationship with Israel prior to 1992 is widely known to historians. The narrator discusses at length the Arafat-Indira relationship, but didn't mention the most important aspect-Arafat and the PLO didn't get a dollar or a bullet from India in all these years. Israelis aren't stupid, they could see that verbal support for Arafat didn't hurt them and so sub-rosa ties if anything strengthened-R&AW got a lot of help from Israel from it's founding in the late 1960s being one of the quiet ties.

- Yes.. not a single country actually has morals. In fact no country can run based just on morals. Palestine also supported Iraq's attack against Kuwait. In geo politics there are no friends or enemies. It is their vested interest. Russia and China are supporting Hamas as they have to oppose the USA. However Russia is already in a state of war with Ukraine and China is no saint either. So, every country thinks about their benefit and takes decisions based on those interests.

Interesting to hear the Indian perspective & their history with this area. You are a good reporter. One point of clarification, the PLO’s main objective is not a Palestinian state, it is the genocidal destruction of Israel & all the Jews first, statehood second. that was the basis for their charter, it was reinforced by the Arab League’s three no’s; no negotiation, no peace,no Israel. just take a look at pictures of Arafat’s patch of his version of Palestine on his uniform, Israel is not there. That’s what ‘from the river to the sea’ means. There has never been any intention of peaceful coexistence with Israel from the Palestinian leadership. If you are not aware of that now after Oct. 7, i don’t know what to say to you.

Gandhiji two initial firm supporters in South Africa were Jews Herman Kallenbach (Lithuanian Jew) and Sonja Schlesin (Russian Jew). Gandhiji betrayed their trust and back stab Jewish community by throwing weight around Arabs who in future chose to side with Pakistan in times of conflict.
