That is what I witness when people compare him to Maradona. That is a bridge too far. MAradona had so much more to offer...and some aspects are keydifferences. Messi would have never come as far with Argentina of 1986 nor 1990 or Napoli from 1985-1990 due to these differences. ANd still: DiStefano and Pele were may be even better (I nevber saw them but those who did ar enot so sure about Maradoan being better than these two....). Why isnt it enough to say that Messi is the best player of this millennium. Why the need for a goat? Why not say: Pele the best of the 60s, Cruijff of the 70s till 77.
