Today I train my cats Teemo and Arya how to ring a bell because I think it’s cute.
Cats are extremely trainable and often trained based on signals rather than command.
We will use positive reinforcement to reward our cats when they do a desirable behavior.

So cute!! Teemo seems to pretty much always be a little behind Arya but he gets there eventually 😊
Yeah he is always a little slow!
I taught my cat, Bridgett, all sorts of tricks! She knows sit, beg, spin, fist bump, high five, roll over, and jump over my arm. She walks on a leash too. She’s easy to train because she is highly food motivated. My other cat, Puff, doesn’t respond as well to training. He learns better by watching his sister.

Our ragdoll Joey doesn't eat treats at all, we tried so many different ones. So sad because this looks so cute to learn.
Ah really? Do you think he is full from his meals. And have you tried other treats?
Quite a few ones, but he ate none of them. I also reached out to former owner to ask if this was normal, because I was like, what cat eats no treats at all. 😹

This is adorable!!!! I loved watching them and I actually laughed out loud a couple of times! I remember trying to teach Kitty how to do this and she caught on pretty quickly like Arya but then I slacked off and she lost interest in learning lol it was like ok mom, I see what you’re doing and I’m not playing this game lol At 18 she was Queen and I was her servant. She had me ringing a bell lol Thanks for the video, I’m sure at some point when I’m ready for another cat yo love I’ll be digging out Kittys bell and will use your method of training

Fiona thank you for the tips! Yeah the harness wrapped around the chest so I was really surprised she escaped from it. Definitely going to look at what went wrong and take the proper precautions. Yeah indeed Ragdolls are frequently stolen!

Dude I just finished watching all of your videos and they’re consistently such high quality. I’m in my twenties and have never had a pet before, but I’m seriously considering a ragdoll because of you. Curious if you could make a video on how to make sure your cat is looked after if you need friends or family to catsit. I travel for a week or two every few months for work, and that’s my biggest block from getting a cat

Awe, one of my cats favorite brands of Freeze dried chicken. I need to try the salmon in this brand. I've tried in others with no luck. Just got back stocking up on Primal, Stella and Chewy, goat milk and broth from my favorite store in the city. My absolute favorite brand so far is RedFord naturals. I like the size of the treats. They are so beautiful and smart.

I also saw many people training cats with a clicker, which seems effective. Jacksons Galaxy recommends clicker training too :)
Yes clicker training works too! I was trying to see if without a clicker it would work and it did!

New sub here. I absolutely LOVE your videos working with Teemo and Arya. They are both beautiful kitties! I have a young momma kitty and her singleton baby boy. His name is Grogu and his momma is Zoey. He is 15 months old and she is barely two. Grogu is very food motivated but would not touch the Darwin’s raw diet I had them both on. Now she has lost interest and I have two months worth in my freezer taking up space. I will try the Fancy Feast you mentioned but they don’t like the fancy feast we bought for them. Zoey is a very picky eater and he is getting more picky by the month it seems. I’m going to try the TIKI wet food you listed in another video I just also watched. Thanks for sharing! 💗🐈⬛☀️

Cute! 😍 😍 😍 Cats are pretty smart, and they learn quickly. When I shake the treat bag, Cleo knows it's time for brushing. She still isn't that keen about being brushed, but she likes her treats (Orijen freeze-dried) Hmm... seeing the sashimi makes me hungry 😂 😂 😂 I'll definitely try to teach Cleo to ring the bell. 🙂 By the way, how about training them to play fetch?
Haha Cleo is a smart one! So Teemo and Arya do chase the ball I have when I throw it, they don't bring it back tho. I will look in to it!

Sir can you please tell me that my kitten will probably be 4 or 4 and half months old i'm not dure I think .. she always used to poop here and there then we made a poop tray for her then she starts doing in it but now again she is doing it anywhere. Now what is the solution for this, please tell means, she is doing anyywhere like under something that is very clumsy to clean like cleaning in the bottom corner of the cupboard, means... you cannot do it like there is only 8 or 9 centimetres distance to clean...
I've seen ragdoll cats that are a lot bigger than Teemo and Arya, do you know why?
Hmm its possible that it’s the diet. I feed them a raw meat diet and it’s healthier than dry food. Hope that helps!

My cat still is being picky about her food. She will let food just sit if she doesn't like it and would rather starve. She won't eat from my hand either. I've tried for so long. But I guess maybe I should give up

Thank you for the kind words and welcome! Yeah cats can get pretty picky and you have to try different brands to see which they like. I think it helps when they are younger to give them variety so they are not too picky. You can always add a topper, like a small bit of treats on top of the food to make them eat it, don't do it too often, just occasionally to get them to at least tried a few time they are okay with eating it. Hope that helps!
