About this game:
Wizard of Legend is a fast paced dungeon crawler with rogue-like elements that emphasizes dynamic magical combat. Quick movement and even quicker use of spells will allow you to chain spells together to unleash devastating combinations against your enemies!

Just so you know NL it’s worthwhile to clear out most of the floor before fighting the boss. It makes him spawn less adds and generally easier. Also you can press space on a spell in your menu to change its position on your hot bar, which helps when you lose your right click spell. Hope this is helpful to anyone!
I've always found it easier to just get the map as a starting item and rush straight to the boss.
Actually, there's plenty of reason to rush straight to the boss instead. One, the boss might be a bit harder, but you're most damage is taken in the smaller rooms fighting the enemies, rather than the boss. Otherwise, the harder the boss is, the more likely you are to get extra bonuses from the chest, such as an arcana/relic.

I'm like 99% sure he knows that means its charged, but hasn't specifically said it, so you're upset over nothing. He's literally used it while it was waning down, and even recognized it as "overkill" at one point in the video. Stop this

For the lady that takes one of your Archana and gives you a random thing, one of the items she can gives is a pill relic that makes all of your attacks do crits, so she really does have some amazing things
The whirlwind is SO good to enable combos, use it at the start of a room, collect most to all enemys and use another arcana that hits enemys in a radius around you right before the whirlwind ends and then hit 'em with your basic. They can't do anything and get massive amounts of damage.
"increases all damage for every enemy defeated but loses effectiveness when taking damage" isn't a synergy, it's just an effect.
You should have bought the fan instead of the battery because it gives you bonus damage on air arcana.
NL! The more enemies you clear before the boss the weaker the boss will be

No one going to talk about how the Egg skipped a "shop" because he "didn't have enough gold." Yeah.... The red portal "shop." The one that takes NO GOLD.
HawkGaming triggerd me aswell there is a chance its the one who upgrades your cloak and does a lot of damage (if anyone knows what this does please tell me) but its like a smoll chance
So, there will be a slight spoiler in this. This lady causes the effectiveness of the cloak you have on (Increased Damage, Armor, etc.) to be boosted by 50%. The Hope and Patience robes, which require you to own the other robes, will unlock their bonuses on them (shared traits). If you talk to the lady with the Hope or Patience robe equipped, then the lady makes the robes as effective as the bonuses from the robes they share the bonuses with.
NL, you're getting a hell of a lot better at this.
There's an NPC in the top left of the starting area where you buy relics and arcana that will give you 200 starting gold for your run in exchange for 20 gems. Also, vamp sunglasses + any crit modifier if you find yourself taking silly damage a lot. Good hustle so far!

I'm sure others have told you, but you don't get multiple relics when you start. You choose one, either from offense, defense or misc. You don't get to start one in each category.
Hey NL! I don't know if you read these, but on the floor where you left early with one shop left because you had no gold, it was the red portal and could have been a shop with a trade in or "Deal with the Devil" type deal, so you didn't need any gold really and should always check shops! Cheers!

Tearing whirlwind is amazing you can just use it and move to and edge (you won't fall off but enemies will) and even if there are no ledges its great for grouping up a whole room as long as you have something to follow it up (I'm using blazing lariat as my signature and it flows together really well)
This series is 10/10, i hope it goes on forever

Hey NL! Just a quick tip here. Your character will not walk into pits. So just wait till he stops moving forward to dash. Never dash into a pit again!
NL, you actually can’t walk into pits, so you can just walk all the way up so you don’t have to worry about falling in with your dash.
For me, the Earth biome is consistently the one on which I struggle. Must be the particular map layouts and/or enemies there.

Purchasing the battery when only 1 out of your 4 spells is electric and you've already beaten the boss weak to electricity. 🤔
TwistedAttitudes and a relic is next to it that increases air damage and almost all your attacks do air damage
Can we just slightly spam comments about how stun mechanic works on bosses? Bosses have super armor, indicated by a glow around them. When that glow is gone, damaging the boss will result in said boss being stunned. Things like water prison are phenomenal for stunning bosses, as they get stunned as soon as they're able to be when water prison is in effect.
You should always go to the red portal, it isn't always a shop and is probably the most impactfil one out of the three

One of the first arcana I got in my game was one that summons huge chess pieces that stomp enemies and block shots for a bit. So perfect for a newbie! 😂
I have been loving this series and playing along as well. Hope it goes on for awhile, I have only been able to manage defeating two out of the three bosses. Also I have this great set up of my Arcana: Bolt rail (Basic) Wave Front (Dash) Grasping earth Spiraling Typhoon This allows for good coverage, decent imobilising/ stun and the basic and dash are (in my opinion) the best arcana of their respective catagory. There was this other arcana I was using before Grasping earth (it was a line of vines that did a small knock back, I forget the name) and found that this one fully imobilises and does more damage. Spiraling typhoon allows for you to easily push enimies away or more importantly into pits, it also racks up some decent damage, especially with it's signature. Bolt rail has great range for a basic that goes in a straight line (and I found it can pass through walls and statues, great for hitting before you can ever be in danger). This basic also stuns and while isn't as stong as some others, it hits so much more, easily making up for that. Wave front shoots a water ball infront, that takes enimies with it and damages, while also giving you a very brief shield when you do the dash. For a relic I personally use Raspberry Cookie box for extra health drops but I would suggest if you're more confident then Mirror shield or Lei's drum, or even a sprite. Oh and my cloak is the purple one that ups evade and crit chance, just thought I'd put that out there. Hope anyone can try this great set up as well.
I wonder how long it will take Egg to figure out that bosses get stunned if you hit them when they aren't glowing. It makes them so much easier to beat, it's like switching the difficulty from hard to easy.

NL, the best element to use is electricity hands down but not the ball. Get thundering chain plus the one where you rush at the enemy and hit them multiple times. I forgot the name but it’s all really good. Hit and run egg
I rate frost, freezing enemies can be a life saver, giving you time to reposition, recover cooldowns, etc.

NL, you should try out the Volt Pinball you bought last episode. Might not be your style but it's been doing gangbusters for me. Also, try buying a new cloak in the top right hand section of the shop area.

Dude, Doctor Song is my favorite character to see on a run if you do it right. For the price of some trash arcana from the shop, you get a heal effect plus a strong relic. Also: UPGRADE YOUR WARDROBE YOU EGG!

Shoulda bought the pinwheel instead of the battery, it increases your wind damage and you had 3 wind arcana my dude, and the boss is weak to wind

I had a feeling it was true early on in the run but you can see on his death that he was resisting the earth attacks with his blue (water?!) cloak.
I haven't actually played it yet, so I may be misinterpreting things. But. The bosses seem a little weak compared to the normal enemies. NL gets painted across the walls by random mooks, and then crushes the first three bosses with nary a scratch. He's absolutely destroyed CinnamonToastQueen every-time I've watched him fight her.
NL the robes givw you buffs also all basic arcana is always melee so the katana is nice to use

The only thing I wish was a little clarification on armor and defense. Like, they are different stats? And it seems like it only ever takes 1 or 2 hp off of attacks

What is the deal with the crocodile heart? If I'm understanding right, then it halves your 500 max hp to 250, which means to get back to where you started you'd need to defeat 50 enemies (looked like +5 max hp per kill) then it starts helping you. Is that a lot or not a lot?

Yo NL, you should unlock some new cloaks. They give passive bonuses, so it's basically like another relic slot to bring in at the start of every run.
Actually... hp does have a price - 1 hp is 0.57142857142 gold
top right of the hub. buy a new outfit (gives bonuses to stats)
I picked this game up because of your videos and the furthest ive gotten is the 3rd big boss then i died horribly
You should rock the infinity marble relic it'll let you keep your signature skill charged "the blue bar that fills up as you attack" till it's used, then maybe buy&use the grey cloak if you want more def =)
My reccomended loadout for WoL is Bolt rail,Wave front dash,Glaccial cross/Ice spear and fire tracers or whatever that one is called where the attack comes back lol try it out eggman

You should try to build a variety of cloaks to pair with your builds. That might make runs a bit easier on you, rather than just using the default cloak

Dude, you should try to invest less in potions and more on relics if possible. Relics build up survivability and can have synergies with each other where as potions don't add anything really, they just help to keep your head above water.
"I don't want relics I think, I'd rather get Arcana." Get's relic anyway... Don't get me wrong, I understand that he got an Arcana from Manfried, but for me, at least for the first few episodes, I'd be switching out Arcana left and right to see, and show case, what they did.

How are you supposed to beat Earth Lord's homing attack, it fills the entire field and I can never get around it
NL's idea in principle was correct. Lure them together then you have plenty of room to dash. Also if you have a long ranged attack make sure to sling it at the boss to initiate the stun while you're setting up to beat him.
