A knockdown, point deduction, outboxed all night, even without anything else involved I think jack won 8 rounds. Corruption at its finest. No one will say otherwise.

Taylor won 2 and that was point deduction. Man should be a man give belts to jack
I missed the first 6 rounds so i don't know who won that. But after Taylor got knocked down, Jack did absolutely nothing for the rest of the fight. He lost every round after that. Taylor was in his face constantly pushing the pace. Ring generalship son. You can't just stand back and land an odd punch or 2 a minute and grab on for the rest of the round.

Boxing is a mess, they are literally destroy themselves. Corrupt judging, big fights not happening or happening 10 years too late, rematch clauses and way too many belts per weight class. Should only be 1 belt that makes you champion of that division, instead they hand out belts like they're candy. I use to love boxing now I'm sick of it

I agree I'm a 100%Taylor fan,scotsman, and this shows why boxing needs to change with regards to judges and score cards, absolute disgrace, Catterall won that, and for Ben and josh to say different, it makes a mockery of boxing.

It's time judges were made to come out and explain why they have scored a fight they way they scored it.

Well done to him for speaking up like this. I hope he does follow through with demanding this be looked into. This decision needs over turned. At the end of the day it doesn't reflect well on him as he is the promoter, so I hope we see a bit of action on this and get an update

I’m a big Taylor fan but this was such a robbery. Ruining this sport and Catteral’s career in the process.
Hopefully Catterall will go on to greatness while Taylor will do nothing much at higher weight for sure.

I know! The thing is he even scored it the exact opposite way to the way most pundits scored it. Every round that should've been given to Caterall (besides the knockdown round) was given to Taylor and vice versa. He wasn't even watching the fight.

The thing is, this has been happening for a long time now, and nothing's ever been done about it. Yes, that was a shocking decision. I feel heart felt sorry for Catterall; he should be taking those belts home with him. But even this situation won't change a thing!! This is the one of things I hate about the sport of boxing!! This type of decision won't be the last either.

Let's say that it dose, and they overturn this to give Catterall the titles; they are going to have to go back for so many years and change the history books, there has been so many fights that this kind of thing has happened, but the thing is theres a lot of big money men involved, boxing Mafia so to speak. So I'm afraid it won't happen and it will never change.
This is up there with the worst wrong decisions ever in boxing history. Hopefully Catterall will box on at this level and sort it all out in the ring. Taylor was always overrated as proved last night. He'll go on to do nothing much at higher weights and hopefully be left begging for a rematch down the line just to earn a buck.
This is one of the main reasons I lost interest in boxing the cheating and robberies that have taken place is crazy!

Fair play mate looked an amazing atmosphere in Scotland. Great night bit of England Scotland makes it awesome but its boxing and I like Taylor but Caterall won that with ease.

It was close but Jack won clearly imo. Same old story with boxing judges. If Jack improved his body language throughout the fight I think he could of swayed the judges.

If one judge had a proper score it would have exposed the other two, notice how long it took the scores to arrive it can’t be a coincidence all three were wrong, never let them near a fight again.
Most unfair thing I've ever seen in competitive sports. Something needs to be done about this because it really is beyond a joke. The future of combat sports is fan voting post fight. The fans as a collective are always honest and correct. The Scots in that venue know their man got beat up tonight.

There should be a external governing body to deal these types of things. Robberies happen over and over again in boxing but nothing ever gets done
This should not be allowed...all the judges should be fired...clean up boxing give Jack his belts END OF.

have 5 judges, remove the 2 most extreme scores, and display the live round by round scoring. its not perfect, but it would be a start.

I was that disgusted with what I witnessed I emailed the bbbc and requested they investigate it. I've never felt so compelled about a result to do this. I'm a fan of 50 yrs and will be contacting all the British promoters and demand they take action either removing the current referees and replacing them with ex boxers

I think ben shalom could be a breath of fresh air for the sport, hopefully he'll be up for speaking out an getting something done, judging has been a problem for far too long, they need to explain there decisions for the world to see, at least let people try an understand how there scoring these fights.

This was a very very close fight and my great uncle tony 86 years of age who is an ex boxer and referee said it was so balanced a fight that only a small breeze of wind could tip the scales in favour of any of the two of them ,

If Ben shalom himself sees it as we all do this should be sorted. They need to make this the bout that changes stupid judging and realistic decisions made and obvious judgement take the stance for the future of boxing.

114 means Taylor won 8 rounds... 116 minus a point for the knockdown and the point deduction... Which 8 rounds? 111 means they gave Catterall 4 rounds... 112 minus the point decduction... So it's not like some of the rounds were scored 10 - 10 Someone said "it just depends what the judges were looking for" and I thought it seems like they were looking for a Scotsman in Scotland.

Fair play to Ben for saying it how it is! We know some promotors would of skirted around it with some waffle about styles make fights and close rounds in the judges eyes. Plain and simple, it was an absolute robbery, denying Jack his titles.

Pleased the promoter said this. Jack is the champion. I hope Josh stands up and has the humility to look at it and realise he didn't just win, but lost almost every round. I watched it with a house full of boxing fans. It wasn't even close in terms of points, but we all felt that this was the worst robbery in boxing ever seen. These judges should never be allowed near a fight again. Catterall, without any doubt should be given the belts. He is the champ

They say boxing away in Italy you have to KO your opponent to get a draw. Apparently its worse in Scotland.
The referee in the ring (who also doubles a judge for the fights he isn't refereeing) should have his score counted and if the three ringside judges decision is way off like in this case the referee could overrule and refer to his own scoring in the ring. Thoughts anyone ?

Never expected the promoter to be so honest after the champion was wrongly given the decision usually a promoter would deflect and spin his way into some sort of justification but he flat out said it's wrong.
