this guy is just a real old school style body repair professional, such a shame that good guys like him get so rare by the time and the younger generation just not interested no more to do real craftsmanship. High respect to you Arthur !!!!!!!
True, but also some of those old school guys are really hard to learn/work with and don't want to teach the next generation. So props to this guy for showing the world how to do it!
ASA E FRATE
@@ramhoves I am glad you said some. I for one am more than willing to teach a eager learner, however,as Daniel says above, the younger generation not interested. Another thing to remember is that because the insurance industry now control the repair market, salaries have gone in reverse. Not much incentive for youngsters to join the trade.
@@LAfunk750 That's a good point. Not much incentive if you just making over minimum wage.
The schools do not teach this and for old school guys it's hard to have an apprentice, because they are used to having 100% focus on the job.

@@xiukn8 Carfax is by VIN #, so anyone with internet can look up the history. However, I suspect Lithuania does not have "Salvage" titles, so it can go back on the market with a clean title and a lot of people don't check Carfax. I think it would have been easier to put the VIN onto the silver "donor" car.
Well... this is more or less what has been done...
I had to repair a rolled van the only bit undamaged was the NS quarter panel owner supplied another crashed donor van with NS quarter panel damage so cut half the side and floor out and inner wing with Chassis number , much easier for me not so for the owners pocket as had to a mechanic to swap engine and suspension over lol .

He cant do this. VIN under passanger sit, donor was rear piece only.

I like the use of slide hammers and tinning on the repairs instead of just bondo.
I too am impressed with his tinning skills but to be honest, Bondo (plastic filler) gets a bad rap. If used in very thin coats like tin it lasts as long as the metal around it. It' the hacks and shade tree mechanics that gave bondo a bad name. Most million dollar show cars contain a light skim coat of plastic filler.
Very good work Arthur!! Its nice to see that nowadays somebody like you still has this skills for repairing this cars especially a sport car like the Porsche 911! Often these damaged cars are simply written off or expensive repaired with only new parts. These parts are often poor quality and not exact so sometimes it is better to fix the bent metal. Stay safe and we hope to see more quality repairwork from you. 👋🏼
Thanks 😊👍

Your craftsmanship is amazing but I hope I’ll never buy such a rebuilt machine and crash...
Why not? It's probably put back together better than from the factory.
@@GavinJLang because he’s just butt welded edges of panels to other pieces of panels, that originally are pressed one piece panels that are bonded and welded to other one piece panels. Those panels are only joined in specific places and not just cut and joined where it’s convenient for the donor parts. There’s no doubt he’s good at what he does and *cosmetically* these kind of repairs look OK, but they will be nowhere near the structural integrity of the original. In the UK where I live this kind of ‘cut and shut’ job would not be allowed on the road, although unfortunately there are dodgy 2nd hand car ‘dealers’ that will scam unsuspecting people into buying a death trap. So as I said, he definitely has skills, but these cars are nowhere near being back to factory engineering specs, let alone “better” than factory as some people are commenting. This would be a disaster in a side or rear impact.
@@antn537 I agree, this Porsche should be scraped. Arthur strengthened butt welds with additional cover plates so they should not break, but this change how the whole structure works - it is even possible that due this local stiffening fatigue crack develop somewhere in the structure.
@M R If the extent of the damage and the method of repair is made clear then thats up to the buyer, but there are far too many who don't/wouldn't disclose that kind of information if they can get away with it. I'm not saying frame damage isn't repairable, but there is a limit and this kind of repair looks (I'll admit I'm not a qualified engineer and is only my opinion) beyond that limit to me. I wouldn't agree with a blanket statement that 'metal is metal', otherwise car companies wouldn't spend millions on safety/structural engineering when designing cars. Certain regions/countries will have rules or regulations that would restrict or prohibit such a 'Frankenstein' being offered back to the market as a running/driving car. I'm pretty sure someone like Trading Standards here in the UK would take a very dim view of any dealer offering dangerous cut & shuts for sale. Each to their own as always, but personally I don't care how much of a discount is on offer, if its a choice of knowingly (or unknowingly) buying a car thats been stitched back together to the extent its essentially two halfs from different cars like this or a patchwork of panels in critical areas, then no thanks.
@M R Uh huh, that’s certainly another way of looking at it, I think I’ll just say I’ll agree to disagree and leave it there!
Как всегда, одно удовольствие смотреть за работой мастера - мои аплодисменты, Артур! Долгих лет счастливой жизни Вам!)

when you look at the gaps it looks like it's factory gaps. if this car gets painted by a pro, would never assume it had an accident. fantastic job!
@@arturjarosz6595 Slightly. most likely because the doors weren't adjusted. it's just the screws around the door holders, that needs to get tighten up a bit. these are the final adjustments in the last phase, when the car is completely painted, so most likely Arthur didn't tighten them up to easily to remove them before paint job.

I really like your work. Your skills are awesome. But I don't want to know where the donor part comes from. There are so much Porsche been stolen in Germany and other European countries...
Could be front end damage that was written off.
All replacement parts should have the panel factory serial numbers still intact or there is the possibility the piece is stolen. Verifying the numbers cuts down on stolen vehicles. If there is a motor vehicle inspection required before the car is released to be returned to the road, the stolen panels will show up then. My state (USA) required a classic car I bought to have an inspection by a state inspector before they would approve it for road use. This reduces the resale on stolen vehicles. I like this law. Incidentally, my car did pass inspection.
Yeah, those frame donor parts looked to come from one undamaged body, just look the cut line front and rear part
He just repairs the cars, plus if the parts were from a stolen car they would be of the same color so......

Excellent work as always! I just wonder how recreating this car can be financially viable. Either Arthur is working for a slice of bread and a glass of rain water or this Porsche is sold for twice the amount you would get a brand new one from the dealer.
the price of bread is depends verry mutch were you live in the world. The cheapest used 991 turbo s I could find was 96.000 euro. If he spend 100hours at 30 euro/h that is 3000 of labour.
A porsche like this is 25/30.000$ in USA. 5-6000€ for Labour with paint, 15.000€ for parts… 60-70.000€ car and cheapest for sale is 90.000€… 20-30.000€ profit.
