Absolutely, make it twice as thick as it is now and give me 5x more battery. when I'm using my 6th generation pro I'm out of battery in like 4-5 hours. Definitely not an all day device today.

These people are nuts. Blacks are one thing, but the real leap is in getting a stable, power efficient, super bright, 13 inch oled display. Hasn’t happened yet.

Increase the thickness for >24 hr battery life, remove the camera bump, and a macOS variant OS. With larger screen variants, and keyboard/trackpad/mouse/pencil could become a low performance MacBook replacement with touch screen.
The entire iPad lineup really needs cleaned up IMO. Too many complicated options with mismatching accessories

How would yall feel if the pencil now connects to the bottom rather than the top? Have a cutout in the Magic Keyboards round hinge. This could lower the chance the pencil could be lost.

As a KZheadr who films on an iPad the Camera being on the Landscape side is God Tier for me… This will be worth the 4 Year Upgrade since I got the 2020 iPad Pro…
Definitely feel that the static evolution of the iPad meant that my early use and interest has basically completely moved back to the Mac. It would be interesting to know what would make me think I would rather a new iPad than a new MacBook Air for instance.
I think a 'microphone' in the apple pencil would make a lot of sense considering the user experience and interaction with the pencil.
Isnt the current Ipad Pro already OLED? Or is it only the Iphone Pro?

I also feel we haven’t heard enough. The iPad has gots to be in for a surprise. I speculate a more powerful chip w upgraded graphics and higher clock speed. I speculate a 48mp upgrade for cameras, and I also speculate new unique software features for the new pro models. Apple always has something up their sleeves

yeah i use my ipad mini for like scribbling over pdfs and drawing and sculpting. way better than macbook pro for that. i imagine it would be ok for coding if paired with esc enabled keyboard with full-sized arrow keys
My 2018 iPad Pro (11" model) has performed very stably over the years. So much so, I have not found myself longing for it to have many recent technologies. It has literally been profoundly reliable and tough. Also, for the most demanding tasks, I have simply used my (even older) Windows PC for traditional activities such as word processing. However, this time around, I definitely plan to upgrade to the 2024 iPad Pro (13" model). Of all the new features the 2024 iPad will have, I actually hope that the tablet will include at least 16 GB of RAM. That way, once Microsoft no longer supports my Windows PC in 2025, I can seamlessly transition to my new 13" iPad Pro with little to no hiccups!
I am very excited! Can’t wait for the new iPad models to be released. Hopefully it is late this week or early next week. I’ve been saving my money for a few months.
Am I the only one who is upset the iPad Air is thicker than the Pro. It defeats the purpose of it being the ‘Air’ in the line up.

If the 11” Pro is OLED & below $1K, I’m definitely upgrading. I’ve held off upgrading till now because the 11” had a lackluster IPS display, which was unacceptable at that price point.
I am more interested in the new accessories and weight of the new iPad.

I've got the Samsung Galaxy tab S9 Plus 2023. Great oled screen, excellent speakers, front facing camera on landscape mode, very good battery life, wonderful performance, amazing multitasking, and awesome cameras(especially the front facing camera for videocalls). Forget the iPad 2024 and get this magnificent tablet!!!

That iPad Pro 13” is going to be as thin as the edge of the last Intel iMac. How do I know? I watched the Apple keynote last night where they introduced that iMac design. So if you wanna know how thin it’ll be, and you have that iMac, just look at the edge… Super excited for the upcoming products!

Why that thin? Well… the MAIN reason is weight and balance! Especially combined with the Magic Keyboard! The key word is “Laptop”. Many has complained that the iPad Pro was too top heavy and tilted over when placed on your lap when attached to the Magic Keyboard. That’s why they’re making the new keyboard a little more robust and little heavier, opposed to an iPad Pro body that will be lighter. Besides that, it will help make the product feel more premium and aesthetic looking. Oh, and one more thing. With the new MagSafe accessories that you’ll be able to attach to the top part of a iPad Pro/Magic Keyboard combo, a need for a proactive heavy weight top is paramount.
No iPads have been shipped to either Thailand or Vietnam over the last fews days, I can tell you that because I’ve personally checked with the Apple Resellers stores in each country. Store personnel told me that they will start receiving the newest Apple product next month (but did not give me a date) …
The 12.9" Air is the one I'm waiting for. Don't need the horsepower (or price!) of the Pro. Just want to display an 8-1/2" x 11" page of sheet music life size. 🎶

Sounds like they are making the new ipad pro be more like a macbook but with ipados it is limited. I always wished for a hybrid macbook/tablet.
Calling it right now: thinner iPad + MagSafe + aluminum keyboard = battery powered keyboard folio that can wirelessly charge the iPad when docked. This will extend the battery life of the iPad while providing a sturdier, heavier base to balance the combo device to make it more laptop-like.

Unless you really need an M chip for a specific app like Final Cut Pro, I can't see the point in dropping £1000 on a new iPad Pro when a refurbed 2018 or 2020 model will do the job just lovely for half the price or less. There are too many iPad models and the pricing is ridiculous.
Despite the exciting hardware improvements, for me the iPad will always be crippled by its OS, which I personally hate. I bought an iPad Air with magic keyboard to use after I had surgery which made carrying heavy stuff a problem. I didn't want to lug a laptop to a coffeeshop. The iPad setup looked beautiful but I found working on it (I'm a writer) a monumental pain in the butt. Despite the increased weight and bulk (and attendant risks), I almost immediately returned to using my MacBook Pro. My iPad is now largely redundant. It sits next to my MacBook and drives Apple Music and my streamer. Being able to run MacOS on an iPad would be a dream come true for me. As of now, though, the iPad is a (add expletive of choice) nightmare as far as I'm concerned.
