Nextech takes a closer look at Turkish-made Marine Assault Vehicles (MAV), a project manufactured by one of the country's leading defence companies, FNSS Defence Systems. The MAV, also named ZAHA, is the latest armored amphibious assault vehicle that provides the Turkish navy with significant advantages between both the land and shore. Very few countries have the capacity to carry the dual-natured vehicle in their inventory.

A lot of people are trying to copy US military technology without actually giving them the credit for it. Turkey needs to lob a couple of these bad boys to the US and it's allies for tests and trials. Seems like a highly technical vehicle - also capable. The technicalities, costs may be it's downfall.

For you only Americans can do R&D and everything is made by American engineers. A concept is one thing, even Leonardo DaVinci had a concept for a place with his Icarus wings, but that doesn't work. Turkey has an advantage that many countries lack, they have a high population of engineers trained in Germany, a country where there is still a huge concentration of Turkish immigrants who moved there to rebuild Germany after WW2. Turks learned industrial design from Germans, long before world war 2, because the secular government of Turkey sent many students in Germany, Austria. Turkey is slowly mastering every levels of industrial craft, they participate in the development of many military weapons since they became part of NATO in 1948. Stop your ignorant prejudice, Turks are not desert dwellers, they are modern people since the Ottoman fall in 1900.
