XRT Ultimate Belts or No Belts?

Six more weeks of winter!!! In this video we take some of your comments and see how the XRT Ultimate and XMaxx Ultimate compare with each other. This will be the last time we see these so clean. Can you put the X-Maxx body on the XRT? Are belted tires really better than unbelted ones?
Belted tires and low center diff oil viscosity can cause your vehicle to feel sluggish under acceleration, when the front wheels come off the ground the belted tires lose all contact with the ground causing the front to get all the power from the motor. Unbelted tires will balloon in the same situation keeping contact with the ground better thus allowing the center diff to put power to the rear. I run 1 million weight oil in my savage flux center diff.
Not me, I prefer belted tires because it's better.
I like both so much, that I don’t know which one to get. By the time I decide, there will be no more left. 😅 Thanks for the video, I wanted to see the difference between each of those 2 types of tires.
Dont buy Traxxas, buy the Kraton 8s instead
I’m team arrma myself but maxx is an impressive RC , Arrmas little too much performance for a lot guys , they rather versatility no chance of totally out .

I love my xrt ultimate. It was my first rc. I wrecked it bad and had to wait a little over a week to get it back from the hobby shop ($496 total). I bought a sledge in case I have to wait again. It’s been raining so I have not been able to drive it. Can I swap out the tires on the xrt ultimate to the sledge and vice Versa?
It wouldn't be advised. Bigger tires on sledge just make harder on the drive train
I would agree with LifebyDesign. It has been my experience, the larger the tire the more damage.
Did you get these for first rc's or something?

You've been in rc for like 2 weeks huh lol? Drive them things man!!! Yea belted tires don't expand haha, rip that esc out put a hobbywing system in it with some cnhl 4s lipos big dogs 120c or more and rip it hard off 5 foot jumps!! And change gears to mod 1.5 or put a belt system on it, and better diff gears front back and center! And any m2c upgrades too!!

None taken...we are all entitled to our opinions on this topic. The best RC is the one you enjoy running.
And I am glad that I will buy a fully loaded XRT Ultimate anyway.
