I can’t wait for the test ride video. Looks absolutely stunning. Keep it up!!!!!
where the test ride video
You have fabricated an awesome machine from scratch! Add the home built electric drivetrain and this thing is in a class of it's own. Thanks for keeping us updated!
You know that heart racing feeling you get when you see something you like so much? This gave me that!! I could watch 100+ videos of that buggy.
Can't wait to see it run as fast as the wind!!!
Excellent work! Can't wait to see it in person!
Thanks for the vidio. This is a very difficult precise work that takes a lot of time. You inspire me! And the one who unsubscribes simply does not understand that such projects take time!
Love the orange, it goes perfect with the KTMish look.
A street legal version would be awesome,
What you are doing is truly magnificent !
I love how you've colour coded the parts Orange which mechanicaly control the cart. Everything else black and grey. Perfect
The roof
gotta see this thing move. thanks for your cool videos.
Speechless. Amazing build.
Is it odd that seeing the beautiful creation, fully painted and assembled makes me kinda sad? I know there will be more videos and other projects, but MAN did I enjoy watching the build process!!! HATS OFF to you James!
Thanks Robert!
Looks great! Maybe a spoiler for the back would look good too 🤔
that's a really, really, really cool looking machine.
That crosskart looks spectacular! Hoping to see a video sending it soon! Excellent work, thanks for the video!
Thanks!
I'm consistently impressed at your builds and your build quality - but I think one of the things I enjoy the most is the estwing rock hammer as a go to "persuader".
One word: Awesome!
Nice work, as always!)
I am so pumped for the test ride video!! Amazing work
You Are Professional 👍☺
Nah, just persistent lol
That orange looks super vibrant! Great palette.
Time to road test 😊👍.
Awesome man. I am missing a wing from the back though. 😉
What a beast!! Looks marvelous
they see me rollin' they hatin' can't wait to see this rip thru sand
BUILT THE CANADIAN WAY ! 🍻🍻🍻
Everything you doing is perfect 👍🏻
Not perfect, but good enough :)
Good work!
Looks Amazing James! I’m so glad you went with orange. I’m biased because it’s my favourite colour, but it looks fantastic.
Thanks Levi!
DUDE! This Project is so Dope Sick! I Love it to bits!
Amazing work of art James!
Amazing work dude! Truly incredible how far you’ve come!
What a great project. Congrats on all your hard work. Looks beautiful and tough.
Epic build, coming to fruition. Loving it mate! Great work...
It looks amazing!
Looks very nice... would ove to see it drive... stay healthy James 💪💪
Looking good! =) Only thing that itching my brain is absence of trailing arms on rear suspension. I'd add those for some extra strength.
what a legendary project🤩🤩🤩
I wish we could do stuff like that here in mi country. but since we can't all I can say is, you are awesome man, thank you!
If you drove that thing on the streets in my country you would be punished more severely than a pedophile...

All vehicles in the US and Canada and the UK need to go through the same process to be licensed for public road use, whether they're commercially manufactured or a custom personal vehicle. Crash testing is not a requirement for anyone, it's just something that manufacturers do to innovate and improve safety so they can earn bragging rights when marketing their products. But all vehicles must be inspected by an automotive engineer or inspector of some sort to ensure it meets basic equipment and safety standards - if they approve of the design and build quality, they'll certify it safe. Some regions require periodic inspections throughout the life of the vehicle, as well. That means DOT approved parts need to be used where necessary, like the lights, tires and braking system. There's absolutely no way around this certification. You must keep all receipts for parts and materials, as well, and document the build process - you need to be able to prove you acquired the parts legally and that you built it. Once you have the engineer's cert and all your documents in order, THEN you can take your $10 (usually >$100) and said documents into the DMV to acquire a VIN and registration just as you would for a custom built utility trailer. My buggy is strictly for off road use. I don't need to register it unless I want take it onto public trails, but unfortunately buggies, off road trucks and dirt bikes have been recently banned from the public trails (thanks to idiots). Only utv/atv's and snowmobiles are allowed. I have 40 acres of woodland with loads of trails of my own to play on anyway. No government permission of any kind is required, and if that ever changes then I'll be looking for a new place to call home.
this dude is a legend
This thing is gonna be next level mate
Wow that looks awesome!
Very nice build, looks like the colors match your brand. From the look of the wheels, looks like you’ve driven it already very cool looking forward to the test ride video.
Not yet, still balancing the cells.
@@JamesBiggar thanks for posting.
After all the time, effort, planning and expense it has to be enjoyable putting it all back together after the painting is all done . Looks really good . I’ve always thought all your builds have a slight futuristic look without looking to silly . Like you instantly realise it’s something different which must peak people’s interest when your out . Fantastic work, love the paint Scheme and like others have said I’m very excited to see the first driving video 👍
Cyber buggy...great work man
Awesome work.
I don't know how to feel about this man's content.. On one hand, I'm amazed at the ambition and skill, the things he's always building are nothing short of astounding.. On the other hand, it makes me feel like a complete and utter useless moron by comparison.. Been stumbling upon his vids for years, it's about time I sub to him. He's earned it and then some. He should be at a million or more by now. This shit is so crazy. He's a god damned worker. This is dedication that I can't even fathom. Bravo, dude.
Nice one - looks cool/mean - bring on the drive vid.
so good can wait to see it rip...
I was eagerly waiting for the video, download the sequel, try to drive and drift.
Looking so good man, cannot wait to see this moving! Keep up the great work. 🙌
Can't wait for a running video! This thing is looking sweet!

Well done work... I like it
9:20 Those guys in the back are having fun!!! 🤣 That buggy looks amaizing! Waiting for the ride video! Thanks for sharing!
Put a super comfy plush seat in it 🤙

it has the meanest stance ever
Looks badass!
Test Drive. Eagerly waiting for it
What a build. Watching this build was great. Can't wait to see how it performs.
Thanks David!
Amazing.
Amazing 🤩
Masterful engineering!! It would be awesome if you ultimately included a time summary for the various phases of your project. Many of us do not know how long "things take".
Started posting the build nearly a year ago, so that should give folks a pretty good idea. Something like this is not a weekend or two weekend project. A good fabricator could probably build it from plans in a few weeks. But to design and build a prototype like this from scratch takes a fair amount of time in and out of the workshop. A local company is developing an electric side by side, and they've been at it for a couple of years now with an experienced team and investors, for example. I guess it all depends on how skilled, savvy and persistent you are.
@@JamesBiggar Thanks! One-person design/builds are what made the U.S.A. On the electronic side, as a one-person shop, I've been developing a home thermostat for about 5 years now. I have another year of testing. Using "real world" data for testing is slow. Consequently, I develop other designs while in this process. Your work is an inspiration :)
My god, its beautiful.
When we hit the apocalypse, I want you building my Mad Max buggy to rule the wasteland!
Too Cool! Keep up the good work!
Been following all your projects... You're incredibly talented. I've been trying to get into building go karts and mini bikes, Not sure if it's my small garage, my fear of finishing a project and it not being what i want or what... But I envy what you're doing brother. Wish I could do the same.
Wow so cool
Nice!
That perfection 😍😍
Awesome!!
Oh boy oh boy oh boy!! I cant wait!! This has kept me glued to your channel. Thank you for the amazing content and kudos on the build!
Awesome! Thank you!
JFC that's awesome.
Je veut ça🔥🔥🔥
badass
Where’s the wing? It looks awesome bro. Can’t wait to see it run.
Очень интересно!
Hi, awesome buggy. Rear shock absorbers assembly bolt seem a bit weak for a such heavy weight ...
Can't make them any bigger than what the manufacturer makes the holes - shocks on front and back are rated for 900 lbs and all use 3/8" bolts.
Excellent! How did you come to learn all the skills you use during your builds?
An apprenticeship and 20+ years working in construction set the foundation, but most of what you see here is self taught (ie: loads of research and questions).
looks great James. Have you any idea of the weight yet?
~900lb, will confirm once it's fully loaded.
If you don't mind my asking, where did you find all the wheels, hubs, axles, steering rack, etc. These are the pieces I'm having a really hard time getting a hold of in Canada.
Агонь!
I came in around episode 6 because I searched for this motor and found this build. Turns out you're using exactly the same batteries that I am for my EV scooter project! Your attention to detail and craftsmanship is amazing and I would kill or die to have to tools you have at my disposal (alas, i live in a condo). I too echo the sentiment that I cant wait for the test drive video. I may have missed it along the way, but what is your final battery voltage?
Thanks! 102V nominal.
@@JamesBiggar Thanks so much! My pack is 76.8 nominal (24s) but I'm ordering another set of batteries so I have the option to go to 32s.
What is chassis pipe material grade please?
I hafe a guestion cane you add wipers to the windows
Battery’s still missing? Is it me or is the ground clearance low? Can’t wait to see it on the trails!
Battery is done (see past videos), cells are still bottom balancing. Will take another week or so, can't speed up the charger/tester beyond its ability, unfortunately. Ground clearance is 8". A lot higher than a typical crosskart, and similar to an avg atv (some ground clearance ratings for atv's are exaggerated, measured from the ground to the frame instead of to the lowest point which is normally the diffs). More than good enough for gravel track and trail driving. If it were a 4x4 then I'd sacrifice the lower cg for a few more inches to cover rougher terrain.
😍
Gaz!!!
I wanna buy it how much when finish having fun James? Hello from Thomas in Denmark 🇩🇰 🇺🇦🙏🏼💙💛
$1 billion USD 😄 I'm keepin' it bud.
where do you get the motors and esc's from ??
I purchased my motor and controller through Fany at kellcontroller.com, but the same motor and different controllers are available at electricmotorsport.com and thunderstruck-ev.com as well. Specs and links are in the powertrain video description. Not sure what you mean by esc other than electronic stability control? This buggy is not as sophisticated as a passenger sedan lol.
@@JamesBiggar yeah its another word the the controllers usually used in drone world , "Electronic speed controllers" sorry for not clarifying , but awesome work you're projects just keep getting better keep up the good work would be awesome for like a hover bike or plane something that fly's and a boat to round of the collection of vehicles as you have moto's ,buggy and a trike would be awesome it have a arsenal of dope vehicles and would love to see the builds
a wiring harness or electronic system build video of the control surfaces would be awesome too
That'll be next.
🤩😃
this guy is the incarnation of fuck that, ill do it my self ! incredible builds, all of them
Quiy teasing us already...
Where is the test ride??
Just finished bottom balancing the cells on friday...wiring everything in the kart tomorrow.
@@JamesBiggar Thanks for your response👍
That thing is a ripper
