Nightwolf had said there were 3 tests for Liu to complete. This was the only one he was shown to complete in the film. Love how bad Annihilation was.
The bad dream sequence was the first test. The third test is revealed in the novelization (but not the movie).

Actually, two of the tests were revealed. But the third one was left out intentionally. Because Lui Kang mentions specifically that he only passed two tests.

The only thing that separates her from the other two is that she's darker. So as long as she's darker than Mileena and Kitana, then it should work.

I saw this movie when I was a little Kindergartener, and this scene (Jade's transformation) was the most memorable thing in the entire film.
I'll be honest... I don't care what anyone says. I found this version of Jade to be pretty hot. I know it's not the game version, and it doesn't compare to the MK11 version, but I still liked this Jade and her outfit was pretty awesome.

People will state over and over that MK:A is such a bad movie, but on individual scenes on youtube, there's nothing but love in the comments about the action, costumes, and overall cheesiness that even the original movie was known for. Eve Torres is not that dark. She's latina and is paler than MK Jade. But, yeah, I believe she will look great as Jade. She just need to have black hair. But the movie is already filming for what I heard and I don't believe Eve is part of the cast. Otherwise, I was mad when I heard a brown woman, who look like Jade, was apparently cast to play Mileena, who should be played by an asian or caucasian, just as Kitana should be.

Eve Torres's look is the closest to MK Jade, and her Martial Arts background would be also an advantage for her role in a MK movie. Yes the main cast for the new MK movie is far from my wish cast, but i'm finally glad they decided to make a movie and look forward to watch it!

People CLEARLY don't know anything about Jade. Originally Jade was just a palette swap accidentally left in MK2. Then they actually added her in into MK3 as her own character with noticeably darker skin. Jade has been darker-toned/black since MK3 learn your MK history before coming to the comments section.

It’s strange how this movie never reveals the third test. Apparently, the third test is revealed in the novelization of Mortal Kombat: Annihilation.
I thought the third test was just to defeat Jade in combat. The second test was to test his loyalty. The first was to tap into his animality and not give into the visions. At least that’s how I thought of it,
