The Church of Scientology, increasingly labelled a secretive cult, is once again proving why it’s such a contentious organisation. Two months ago, a court in the United States found one of its members, Hollywood actor Danny Masterson, guilty of multiple rapes. As intolerable as that is, what the case also exposed were the extraordinary tactics the Church used to protect its star recruit, and how it cruelly attempted to silence his victims, who themselves were Scientologists.
Since then, there have been even more revelations about life inside Scientology, including damning accusations of serious abuses and mob-style operations and attacks. But as Tara Brown reports, taking on an organisation as bullying and belligerent as Scientology comes at a cost.

And that was allll by design by Hubbard to be able to operate unscathed and out in the open. It's criminal😔However the parents(especially)and ppl joining this CULT TODAY and tomorrow and next week are just as fault bc the abuse is well documented and reported on.

One day they got into argument and jumped on one of our guys. That was their BIG mistake. We messed up everyone there that day, lined them up and made them apologize. Never looked in our direction since then and thankfully closed their division there at all shortly after.

From my understanding Leah started being suspected as suppressive then labeled suppressive when she asked about “where is Shelly” at the celebrity wedding. That burned things down. It’s a criminal organization/cult that if you’re in it you don’t ask questions. Everyone writes reports and rats on each other. I’m sticking with criminal organization/cult because if you can’t leave, you get stalked if you do well that’s criminal. We’ve got a laundry list of illegal activities it’s about time they are held responsible. The Danny Masterson guilty is opening doors to see inside the criminal organization/cult that they did not want people to know. They’ve used fear and intimidation against people for so long. We’re just hitting a point we’re massive leaving individuals aren’t staying silent despite threats, following, stalking and much more. Lest us not forget their belief that suppressive people have no rights and they should do anything and everything to shut them up-organized crime/cult.

      @jaygeedomena514@jaygeedomena5149 ай бұрын
    • There's no fear on the part of the American journalist landscape. Part of what the problem is, is that the way the U.S. laws currently stand, the fact that the church, if that's what you want to call it, has its tax-exempt status, and the fact as was duly noted in this particular retrospective documentary is that the Church of Scientology is very well-endowed legally, financially, judicially and governmentaly as well. Sadly, because we as a nation we're stupid enough to give this dreaded organization its coveted tax-exempt status it literally barred our government for multiple many years from going in and doing an in-depth investigation into this group because of the U.S. laws explicitly mandating the "separation of church and state". In other words secular organizations cannot get their hands or their noses into the business dealings of a religious organization without an overwhelming reason why the secular needs to invade the sanctity of the private religious sector. Although I will admit that the case of the Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker incident was indeed an exception to this particular rule. And I think what made the exception in this particular case was the fact that Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker were selling rental spaces within the confines of a property that the church legitimately owned. But where they ran afoul of U.S. secular laws, was the fact that they were basically double and triple selling the same spaces to multiple parties at the same time. So that gets into a huge of Department of the Treasury, SEC, fiduciary misstep and miscalculation on the part of their group. As much as we hate to admit it for the most part for the time being the Church of Scientology's all of their egregious practices are technically within the confines of their own private religious status. For example they have been and they still do procure vast amounts of real-estate holdings across many different states. They will even go so far as to buy vacant buildings around and surrounding businesses and buildings that they are truly operating out of. However they will still go ahead and buy buildings and leave some of them vacant just to keep others from getting close to their station. Aaron Smith-Levin's Channel, "Growing Up in Scientology" even did a couple episodes on the Clearwater, Florida location which is in downtown Clearwater City it might be worth checking out so that you have a much larger understanding and picture of just the lengths that the organization goes to, to keep others at bay. On the other hand I do believe that in recent years they've been making a lot of very careless yet calculating mistakes not the least of which has been to openly transport and carry people across state lines to do things that are horrific. There is a case of a young man named Kendrew Kirconnell kzhead.infom_UBvRdP0U4?feature=share . Mr. Kendrew and his wife were recently separated and held at quite a distance from one another purely and simply because the couple became pregnant. The organization did not like that at all. They separated husband and wife. It was on the premise that they needed to take his wife someplace and that she would just be gone for a short period of time. What they actually did to her in fact was they took her across state lines to some shady clinic where abortions are legal. There was already an appointment that was pre-planned, premeditated and pre-scheduled unbeknownst to her and or her husband. The wife was forced into an abortion. As for the husband he, was transported someplace completely different and as far as anybody knows he is currently being held against his will in one of the many real estate sites owned by the church. If anyone wants any further information on this matter I suggest that you go to the KZhead channel which is called "Growing up in Scientology" and look into the information as it was presented by the owner of that channel a, Mr Aaron Smith-Levin. Aaron, recently did an episode on his show "Growing Up in Scientology" that talked about this case. I believe it is titled "Help........." with a picture of Kendrew holding an orange drink and his brother. To learn more about Kendrew and his wife's disappearance I suggest you watch Andrew Smith-Levin's channel, "Growing up in Scientology". That would be a good place for you to start.

    • I'm pretty sure you could dismantle most of the organization by making it so that a contract cannot last longer than 100 years. Each Scientologist signs a billion year contract, after you die and leave your body you get 10 years of freedom as a spirit and then you are expected to instantly join Scientology when you reincarnate. They legitimately expect baby you to tell your parents that you want to join Scientology when you reach your next life 😂. I'm honestly surprised that they haven't started approaching young children or parents with young children and telling those parents that their kid is The reincarnation of a Scientologist and that they legally have to join Scientology because of the contract. Any sane parent would laugh the scientologists out of the building and then when they realize that the scientologists isn't joking they would get rightfully pissed. The billion year contract is unenforceable lol. Even if reincarnation is a thing you have no guarantee that you're going to reincarnate as a human and no guarantee that you're going to remember your past life. I believe that one of the tenants of Scientology is that being a Scientologist will allow you to remember your past life or some bullshit like that. I'm honestly surprised that they haven't grabbed some random kid and declared him the new L. Ron Hubbard, but then again David miscavige is having too much fun running his little dictatorship.

    • Scientologist believe that through Auditing and various other Scientology practices that they literally will not be able get sick. They believe that sickness is caused by thetans in the body and that through Auditing they can Purge the thetans and the illness. Scientologists are not allowed to go to the doctor and if they do go to the doctor it's a Scientology approved one. There have been multiple times where members got cancer and the doctor that they go to lies to them and tells them that they will be fine... They won't be fine, they have cancer. At least that's the way it used to be in the past, they claim that their members are allowed to seek medical attention nowadays. Although recently a Scientologist died of untreated cancer so maybe it hasn't changed. Scientologists view psychology and the study of human behavior as evil. It undermines the tenants of Scientology and makes it easy to see through the bullshit. Anybody who has gone to a course on psychology will immediately see through the manipulative bulshit that Scientology is pulling. Anybody with a psych degree or who is a psychologist is declared a suppressive person and an enemy of Scientology. My degree is pretty useful as it makes me unrecruitable. Scientologists are not allowed to see a therapist or to seek help for their mental health issues. Scientology has promoted psychiatry-related conspiracy theories, including that psychiatrists were behind the Yugoslav Wars and that September 11 was caused by psychiatrists. Scientologists are committed never to take psychiatric drugs and to reject psychology outright. It's so bad that the children of scientologists are terrified of therapists and believe them to be on par with goat and baby sacrificing Satan worshippers. They dedicated an entire museum to the evils of psychology. They do not believe in the concept of mental illness, they believe psychologist to be terrorists and torturers.

    • If you tax them then you have to give them representation. That would mean that every Church would have their own congressman and senator. Pick one. Give them taxation with representation or don't tax them at all and let them represent themselves. This is why there is a separation between church and state.

      @girlcheck@girlcheck9 ай бұрын
    • @@girlcheck Scientologists can run for office (and vote!), as can any person in a religious organization - tax-exempt or not. We have had rabbis, priests and pastors in political office in America. Taxation with representation first referred to the colonists not being allowed in parliament and having to pay taxes. It later was attributed to people of color and sex who were taxed and not allowed to vote or run for office. In America our separation between church and state means you can believe in whatever dumb thing you want - and you will not be forced to abandon those beliefs by the state. And the government can't favor one religion over another. With that said, religions don't get tax exempt status just because they are a religion - like other non-profits, religious institutions are not taxed because these institutions give support to the the community, which could not survive purely on private support. Scientology can not prove they have significantly helped the community + and have just made L Ron + Davey very rich.
