  • Don't give up, that is the key. I am 30 years old and I trained for more or less 3 YEARS to be able to do the splits. Now I got it. At a certain moment I thought I wouldn't be able to do the splits because I'm an adult (and old to do that haha), but I didn't give up. Trust yourself and practice a lot. You can!

  • I want to add something very important that led me to an injury, because i didnt know it. When stretching, dont let your knee-joint to be pressured - you can stretch knee tendon, and legament, that fixes your knee, and it leds to a lot of problems in future and is very painful. To prevent this, slightly bend your knees when doing excercises, to stretch muscles and legament that you need to. You will be safe!

And I was like WTF?! I warmed up! But now I know... I had weak muscles... hahaha. Now I'm returning to my stretches and at the same time, i have my strength training 😘. I see progress!!! Thank you for explaining! Xxx

  • I danced professionally from 1984 - 1993. I WISH I had seen this tip back then!. I began to have difficulty in my splits, and looking back, the director of the ballet company NEVER mentioned muscle tightness in certain groups as a probable reason. Arrggghhh, I tortured myself to get deep into my splits the last 3 years I danced. Your tip would have alleviated my suffering. LOVE your videos!!!.

  • I used to do ballet in Cuba when I was younger. They are very strict. You can not do ballet overthere if you have extra pounds and don’t qualify. Trainings are very effective. The 3 main things we did to learn to split were, butterfly stretching, front to back leg swings( hand in the wall or post and do many repetitions on one side then switch and do the other side) and sitting in the floor opening legs as wide as possible and reaching the toes by holding the stretch. All that done every time repeatedly. 👌🏽

  • I like this video. You sold me on water. I hate it but, I've noticed myself I get sick more when I don't drink enough water. I still hate running but, strength training is definitely good. I do the foam roll with tennis balls b/c I have actual points that need the pressure. Can you talk a bit more about dancing/exercising EVERY DAY and when do you get stronger and when is it harmful? How do muscles recuperate when being used every day? Also, no one is perfect no matter how good they are. How do you deal with perfectionism?
