ILCA made a game so faithful they left all the Gen 4 Glitches in the game!
Fr bruh 😭
If I were ILCA and Pokémon wouldn’t let me make any of my recommended changes to the game, I too would leave the original bugs in the game. Faithful? Here’s your faithful game 🤪
@@uramirez28No one actually knows if ILCA was supposed to do better, they just showed concept art of BDSP. The game could have been the same 1:1 bs either way
They were iconic maybe it was intentional
ORAS was a great game because of how they changed things up completely USUM while not changing much in terms of storyline was still a direct upgrade from SM BDSP is the definition of one to one copy with just updated graphics
Exactly what I was thinking YM, thanks for your input
Also ORAS Take place in a completely different universe
Usum also made so many changes for competitive too with the ease of access to moves that were hard to get.
Except it’s not a one to one copy because it had alot of unique additions
Ah my favorite Pokémon game being used to prove a point
ITS SO PEAK FRIEND!!
Idk if I should be embarrassed by chibi Cyrus or laugh my ass off just by looking at him.
Both honestly 😭
for me problem with BDSP is that gamefreak was focusing on PLA which was peak and they gave a ILCA a company who doesnt know anything about making pokemon games but USUM is peak
Personally I don't consider the third edition remakes (i.e. Emerald, Platinum) because most of them is a slight upgrade from the game and because I consider them part of the base games while the remakes FireRed/LeafGreen is a Gen1 game in Gen 3 so it has the benefits of added abilities and weather to Kanto; HeartGold/SoulSilver added the same plus the physical/special split because in was a Gen 2 game in Gen 4; ORAS brought back megas which is suoer dope, the origin forms and rayquaza storyline. While BDSP only really added new graphics. Like you mentioned even USUM added way more to the game like a remake should do.
Finally, praise for USUM! I absolutely adored those games (I have both US and UM) and played them constantly; I still play Ultra Sun to this day!
SAME, I LOVE THOSE GAMES TO DEATH BRO
@@Pokiiii62 THEY’RE SO UNDERRATED
The problem was that gamefreak tried to do 3 games at once, scarlet and violet started development while legends arceus and bdsp was being made
Yeah... and personally, I think Legends arceus was a step in the right direction, but it's really hard to say that they're moving forward
not here to blame you but platinum and USUN are not remake but complementary version
They add way more than a remaster
@@Pokiiii62Only FRLG, HGSS, ORAS and BDSP are considered remakes. They are supposed to be remasters, to show the new improvements you can have by basing the game on a newer console, and show what they have learnt since the original release. None of the 3rd version or USUM are remakes
Ngl you cooked up, great vid hopefully gamefreak learns from thier mistakes and are the main ones working on future remakes
Thanks, friend! - and yeah, I agree that game freak should be the ones leading the way for the future not ilca
Honestly i think the main reason BDSP was a disappointment was because Game Freak wasn't working on them. I do think ILCA making BDSP was probably a one time thing and that Game Freak will work on the Black and White and X and Y remakes .
Yeah, definitely
This is cool! Was I late to watch the video?
Right on time
Isn't usum a sequel?
I didn’t even buy BDSP. But here’s my defense of those that used bugs to get Darkrai/Shaymin: Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum I think those games are notorious for the poor distribution of event specific items to obtain that generation’s mythical Pokemon. They mainly relied on movie related distributions. And to the extent of my knowledge, the event items weren’t given out (at least, not internationally). So, I don’t blame people for not having faith in a new developer to eventually have these events take place when even Game Freak/TPCI failed at that with a game that seemingly had more effort put into it.
It went wong as soon as they thought Legends Z Minus was an apropraite game reveal for Pokemon DAy. And now the members of the fanbase are claiming that there will NOT be a Gen 10 next year, which means the 29th Pokemon Day is already ruined. And its still more than eleven months off.
You forgot your tags in the description
THX FOR REMINDING ME MR.PUNISHER!!
when us is a remake then platinum is two ?
While this video is good in terms of quality, with the edits and the overall flow of this video, which is a pleasant suprise for such a small channel, a lot of stuff said in this video is weird 0:32 You have brought up that USUM is a remake, which is by the definition set by the community, not a remake. I have no idea who told you this and where you got it from, but Ive seen no one under any circumstance say its a remake. If USUM was a remake by your definition, then Crystal, Emerald, Platinum etc. are reamakes aswell. 1:10 Thats a take from my point of view but I dont think a game with a lot of bugs is a bad game, as long as they dont affect a casual playthrough, unlike Sonic 06 or Cyber punk 2077. The doublicate item bug is present in almost every other Pokemon game. BDSP moght be the game to execute these the easiest but does that really drag down your perception of this game? You dont have to execute this bug and you wont encounter it unless you do it on purpose. The only thong we can tell by this bug is that ILCA is not good at fixing bugs and is quite unexperienced in terms of optimizing games. But do optional bugs really drag everythong down? If so then almost every videogame on this planet is unenjoyable. 2:20 If you dont want to "sacrifice your future fun" to an yet another bug, for which you have to go out of your way for, then just dont do it. You dont have to glitch your way to Shaymin or Darkrai. Its a CHOICE. I dont see what the problem is here. This only shows that ILCA is not that much of a competent video game develop for the lack of experience. If you want to wait for your event, than do so and the ones, which want to get a Darkrai early or a Shaymin they can have fun using a glitch and use them. 8:16 I dont believe ILCA had complete freedom for their game since the heads of Gamefreak told them to make "faithful remakes". ILCA developers just followed commands so are they really to blame that much? Working for the biggest media franshise with time preassure and orders like faithfulness, so they had to play it safe. I dont think even a decent or even a good developer would make this a good game, especially because the foundation is Diamond and Pearl and not Platinum, so they had to work with almost "prototypes". That entire game is just a terrible decision (commercially) from Gamefreak.
First and foremost, I believe that usum isn't really a remake, but it most definitely isn't just an enhanced version, theirs too much new content for it to be considered a remaster (imo) Secondly, most of the bugs in the game weren't by choice. there are literal bugs that phased you through walls, crashed your game, and, of course, the lack of compatibility with home
USUM weren't even remakes bro...
I consider em as such since they add so much to the game like a remake
Platinum and usum aren't remakes 😭
They are most definitely not remasterd for how much they add, that's why I call em remakes
@@Pokiiii62 that is not how remakes and remasters work Remakes are made from the ground up to RE MAKE an older gen game up to the standards of current gen (frlg, hgss, oras, bdsp) Yellow, Crystal, Emerald, Platinum, usum are instead considered third versions because they're practically the same games but with some extra content or story changes, with bw2 being the only games that are direct sequels They aren't remasters either because remasters are practically just ports to newer consoles but with extra steps (graphical overhaul mostly like better textures etc) u can have ur opinion on the games idc but they're not remakes 😭
I thought u were gonna say legends areus but that was a spin off game I realize now
It isn't, it is a mainline game
Ok
Remakes should have improved over the originals with extra features at best. The anime graphics and design should have been used. ORAS and Let's Go did the models justice. I prefer Crystal, Emerald, and Platinum to get remakes at this point-no matter how Japanese they are.
Bdsp?
@@Pokiiii62 Only the battle character models in BDSP are good.
Pokemon bdsp I moved Pokemon to my game and beet the game.
Yes
Ultra Sun and Moon are ENHANCED versions of Sun and Moon. NOT remakes! There's a difference. Platinum was an enhanced version of Diamond and Pearl, Emerald was an enhanced version of Ruby and Sapphire, Crystal was an enhanced version of Gold and Silver. Fire Red and Leaf Green are remakes of Red and Blue, OR/AS are remakes of Ruby and Sapphire, BD/SP are remakes of Diamond and Pearl, HG/SS are remakes of Gold and Silver. See where I'm going at?
I've already been made aware of this from the other comments, you reiterating it is pointless, it still serves as a point towards my argument though
Ultrasun wasn't a remake tho
A lot of people have been saying that, but I think it still serves as a good example none the less
A lot of people have been saying that, but none the less it still serves a good example for what bdsp could have been and such : )
Having one “bad game” doesn’t make remakes ruined This was just a fluke Bdsp is misunderstood it may not have had platinum content but it did add it’s own new stuff like expanded underground, updated qol, modern type chart, modern movepool, ramanas park etc and it’s got wholesome vibes Also Ilca is more experienced now It was loved by the mainstream casual audience The more hardcore fans may not have liked it but they weren’t the target audience The game was designed to be an approachable game for beginner players so they had to make it look as cute and as welcoming as possible hence the chibi appearance Hot take all the remakes they have made In all the years and they only “mess up” one it’s still a good track record there’s no reason to assume it’ll be the case again the butchering was clearly a fluke it was impacted by the pandemic it was just poor timing not a prediction for the future The studio that did bdsp have improved since then Also every remake is different so it would be a different style
Excluding the fact US/UM weren't remakes lol
My point still stands lol
It feels illegal to be this early
It's not!! - it's perfectly legal
Third/Enhanced Versions aren't remakes.
BDSP is hands the worst game in the franchise. Such a worthless game, if I wanted to play DP again I would play goddamn DP again.
Platnium is so much better man bdsp was garbage
Are we talking about spin offs or just main games, cough cough pokemon dash
ultra sun and moon are not remakes 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Whether you'd like to argue they aren't or are, my point still stands
But they were ass 😂
@@Pokiiii62 What's up guys, today I'm starting a war in a reply section! US/UM are factually reMASTERs, not remakes.
Undertale music spotted, opinion invalid
HUHHHH
I wish they stop making these 💩 pokemon games and make " " pokemon z " or jhoto remix
Pokemon Z would be FIREE
USUM IS THE BEST REMAKEEEEE
YESSSS ITS AMAZING
It's a remaster (yes, I'm that one guy)
