  • Lads a suggestion for the majors. Love the handicaps as it keeps it competitive, but rather than starting with the handicaps applied, you could apply the handicap on a per hole basis. So rather than Bubbie (for example) starting on ten under, he would get an extra shot on the ten hardest holes. So then when they play those holes, if there is a par 4 for Luke, it would be par 5 for Bubbie. It might just give a truer sense of how people are playing throughout the round, and rather than everyone else catching up to those under par, it might make the leaderboard more dynamic. Just a thought, great video as always

  • I love the good good boys and their attitude to the game. Will encourage youngsters into the game for sure. The only thing I’m not sure about is their lost ball policy. Sometimes they play a provisional which is lying 3 playing 4. If they don’t play a previsional and can’t find the ball they drop 2 and play 3. I’m all for playing local rules to speed up pace of play etc. but a lost ball drop should be the same penalty as a previsional. I’m not being pedantic or having a dig because I love watching their videos, I just wondered what others thought. I know which option I’d be taking if I hit a wayward one 😂 Love Bubbies attitude 👌🏼 Great to see them tackling some proper UK courses 💪🏻

  • Congrats to Brad! What an epic performance by him. I'm glad they allowed Bubbie to do the outro and explain the situation. I also hope for next majors they can clarify the rules better on the penalty strokes and drops they take depending on if they find there ball or not. I'm fine with not following the USGA rules, but think it would be nice to have transparency on what the exact rules they play by. I know Bubbie would have shot a lot worse if he had to take more additional shots from the tee box vs. dropping if he couldn't find his ball.

I do think he needs to get out of the 'have to put it close' mentality that must easily come from playing with golfers as good as some of the other guys, and focus on the goals more typical for us mid-handicappers. • I love the content guys. One suggestion because I do get into the competition side. It feels like drops / lost balls are not always handled according to the rules. Seems like sometimes people take drops on lost balls, but sometimes re-tee if its OB / lost? I'm not a rules snob and I know you probably have to deal with pace issues and I cant imagine what goes on behind the scenes to keep this stuff moving on the course, but maybe be consistent with the penalties and options across all players? As an example, if you are going to allow lost balls to be treated as a penalty drop, even if there is no marked hazard, just say that so all the players have the option and know.

    • @@daltonnorthcott243With all due respect, I don't think that's correct or fair. Best of my knowledge this is the first video he's ever tapped out on (have not watched since very beginning so can't say for sure). There has been plenty of other content where it's obvious he's not playing well, and more than likely was suffering from some discomfort or pain. But, he stuck it out. Having to walk carrying your bag, when you have such back issues, across what looks like level ground on video but it's obviously extremely uneven with all the humps and bumps a links course contains, then trying to hit golf shots off of said uneven ground... Steve may very well have been in the same boat, except he had Kendrick to carry the bag. It also looked like Steve had downshifted and wasn't swinging so violently, hence he had plenty of good shots, particularly early. Matt, my wife and I are pulling for you!

    • @@daltonnorthcott243 There are plenty of things that can be done at the gym that won't impact your back if you have some kind of issues. With each passing day my knees are bothering me more and more, and hence I don't do any exercises like squats, lunges or anything that taxes my knees. He may very well be at St Andrews when that video posts, and I would be very surprised if he doesn't have a caddy that day. That would take a large load off not having to carry around his bag, even a lightweight carry bag has some weight with a full set of clubs, balls, etc. Obviously you have your opinion, that's mine. I'm not going to hate on him when I can't relate to what he may possibly be going through. Instead, I'm going to look on the bright side because that's a better mindset...

Reverse club: drive with putter second shot with wedges short game with irons putting with driver Loser Mulligan: after hole one , losing team receives mulligan for the next hole based on how many strokes they lost by. for example team one gets par, team two gets double bogey. next hole team two has two mulligans. Rock Paper Scissors: rock paper scissor between two teams after every shot. winner picks the club for the loser on the next shot Milk challenge Ball out of play, glass of milk lose hole glass of milk for team lip out- glass of milk divot on practice swing - glass of milk first to throw up loses.

He's not mentally built for high pressure tournament type scenarios. He's got all the talent in the world to thrive in these situations but deep inside his head he expects the horrific shots that he hits in these majors. Bubbie on the other hand has self belief and grit and can right the ship much better with half the talent. Tough to watch as a Garrett guy. He needs to take about a 4 in these to have a chance.
