  • Hope you don’t mind the observation but I think you could do with a second cleanse. Perhaps use an oil/balm cleanser first then the La Roche Posay. There was a LOT on your towel. Could help with the acne/pimples - 13 hours is a long time, so good to be sure it’s all off. Would love to see your morning skincare routine too.

    • I love the double cleanse too. It was a total game changer for my skin. I start with an oil based cleansing balm, wipe off all the makeup (eye makeup too) with a warm microfiber cloth, then use a cleanser like the one Dominique uses. Clean towel! lol. And I started using the nipple ointment on my lips a few years ago, thanks to you, Dominique! 😊

    • I agree. She needs Clinique take the day off cleansing balm to dissolve most of the makeup then the La Roche cleanser for the 2nd cleanse. Her towel had so much makeup still on it!

    • I use micellar water on 2 cotton pads (one for each side of my face, simultaneously to save time), followed by a cleanser. It saves my facecloths from so much foundation staining. Even after that, if I follow up with another round of micellar water on cotton pads, I will get the last bit of foundation residue and eye shadow coming off faintly.

    • My dermatologist told me everyone should use the double cleanse. Use the makeup remover and follow up with something like micellar water on a pad to remove what the cleanser left behind. Works wonders for me.

  • Dominique, what might help with the adult acne is doing a double-cleanse. Start with a oily, balmy cleanser first to break down all of that makeup then follow up with your LaRoche Posay cleanser. That will ensure that EVERYTHING is removed and it won't strip your skin of it's natural moisture barrier. Even with my super oily skin, I have found that my adult acne has almost entirely cleared up.

  • I use small fabric pony tail holders around my wrist, works beautiful. I have 4, after a while I wash those 2 in with delicates and have spare 2 for next day. I also removed my eye makeup with a cotton round and the Neutrogena, then wash my face twice. I noticed on your towel quite a bit of makeup was on the white towel, so that means your face is not totally clean of makeup. Be careful putting skin care on with makeup still on your skin. That can contribute to pimples, keep pillow cases washed often also.

I've had great results using a double-cleanse, usually do a mini facial massage with Banila Clean It Zero or DHC cleansing oil followed by the same LRP cleanser you use. It removes my sunscreen and makeup, helped me with breakouts, and doesn't leave anything on my towels.

  • Dominique - try using castor oil on those bumps/acne. It’s a miracle as far as I’m concerned. I get a bump and dab a little castor oil on it and it’s pretty much gone the next morning. Try it!!!

  • Hi Dominique, thank you for sharing your face care routine. Can you let us know why you do not use anymore Retin-A (your previous face care routine with Retin -A and moisturizing cream remained in my mind), how do you feel about Sculptra (are you satisfied that you have done it) and what other procedurs, if any, you find usefull at this stage. Thank you

  • Thank you for sharing your updated nighttime routine Dominique. I’m so proud of you for being so regimented. I’m not surprised. You do everything 100%. I’m doing everything wrong right now. My mom just passed away 2 months ago. I took full care of her with help from my husband for 3 years. She had Alzheimer’s. She always stayed up late. We would stay up until around 2am. I’m still doing the same. My circadian rhythm is still off. I stopped doing my skincare because I’m 2 tired. But it takes me 45 minutes- 1 hour to complete my routine. That’s another reason. Your routine was so fast. If I could cut mine down to that I would be more apt to do it. That’s what I’m going to do. I would purchase your exact products but my skin is super sensitive and doesn’t like Vitamin A derivatives very well. Thank you for this very informative, inspiring video. 🙌🙌🙌💜

    • Hi Heather. My Dad is about to pass. He has Dementia. Mom takes care of him and she has aged tremendously in the last year. Hospice is helping four days a week… Have you healed any from your Mom’s passing? How are you feeling? How is the void? Are you always still “on call” for her?… I already miss Daddy so much. I want to know how do people do it? What is the process like? Thank you Heather, and sorry for your loss. 🥀

  • It takes all of ten minues to do my nighttime routine. I take off makeup with CeraVe Facial Cleanser, tone with Dickinson's alchhol free witch hazel, and moisturize with Olay Retinol 24 nighttime moisturizer. So far, so good! P.S. Our Golden isn't allowed to sleep on the bed. Too hairy!

  • Good to see you are settling in well into life in Dallas and your new job. Double cleansing is the way to go to really get all that make up off, an oil cleanser first then follow-up with your normal cleanser, but when you see pimples coming up use a cleanser with salicylic acid, that will do the trick. Plus, be careful which essential oils you are using in your humidifier as darling Oscar shares the bed with you as not all essential oils agree with dogs xx
