Your reviews are very good and real-world relatable. I really like the professional-quality visuals. While I don't have the funds available to buy what you review I do like to stay up-to-date on what is available. Other than that having that monitor (or three since I am rocking 3 22" BenQs now) and a box of chocolates would be great! Jokes aside, keep up the good work! I am glad I found you and have definitely subscribed.
Thanks for the feedback!
It's cool seeing so many new players in the market (don't recall seeing Gigabyte monitors until recently). More competition is always good for consumer. Video overall was a good watch. Usually these videos feel very fake due to affiliated marketing but this one felt very honest and one I can get behind! Keep it up!
I appreciate you taking the time to explain more complex details of the monitors performance while maintaining the ability to give a simple use case scenario.
I learned that KVM ports on monitors are very useful when wanting to use a single keyboard, mouse, stream deck etc between 2-3+ PCs. Very entertaining and Informative at the same time as always Thank You Robeytech 😇😏
I have an M27Q that I love, but my son's old Samsung monitor is just about to die. He needs to wait about 10 minutes for the monitor to warm up before he can use it. So when I saw Gigabyte released a 240hz version of my monitor, I thought it would make the perfect excuse to upgrade to the 240hz and give my 170hz to my son!
W dad
Last item I need for my build is a Monitor. I have been looking at Gigabyte with the KBM feature and I keep coming back to this brand because of that. Now I don't want a monitor unless it has this feature. I have a laptop with USB C and this one and the 4k version support it, but not the M27Q unfortunately. I literally have had both this one and the 4k version in and out of my shopping cart. Thanks for helping make this choice a little easier.
Great review. I am looking for an "in between" monitor. used for office work and a bit of gaming (CS). The idea with the KVM is great! So, the 240Hz monitor is probably not needed :-) Any alternatives to look at?
Literally been looking at this monitor, or waiting on samsungs ARK. Great video, thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
I genuinely appreciate those UFO tests🙏. It's hard to find reviewers that know how to take UFO shots correctly.
Is der any settings or preset for Adope lightroom users also? This monitor works with gforce and amd graphics cards for vrr right? Thnx man for the great review! Greetings from Germany
Solid looking monitor. Glad Gigabyte went with a standard RGB sub pixel this time. I decided to go with the 32" Corsair Xeneon though since it's color accuracy in it's SRGB mode is fantastic out of the box, and using a 3060ti I'm not hitting 240hz at 1440p anyway. 165hz is plenty for me. It was also on sale for $575, sweetspot price for 32" 1440p. The KVM switch seems like a great idea on the Gigabyte but I use Bluetooth and 2.4ghz modes to switch between my two systems on my keyboard and mouse. If I still wanted a 27" 1440p monitor, the M27Q X would have been the one I bought I think.
Ain’t it crazy how no one asked? Lol
@@jojo4565 what a stupid comment lol
@@jojo4565 ????
Oh my god are you called Robey? That's my dad's name and I've never met anyone else with the name. Anyway I've ordered this monitor and can't wait! Thanks!
What do you do if you turn on the eagle eye setting and it bricks your monitor? I can't get the OSD to come up because every combination of button presses and tilts on the power button brings me to the displat input selector rather than the usual quick menus or OSD. The gigabyte m27q-x just displays a black screen (yes, power is on, its plugged into pc. Worked fine until I turned on eagle eye to find out what it did...)
It's worth noting that the M27Q has a BGR subpixel layout whilst M27Q-X has a RGB layout
Thanks for highlighting that!
Whats better ?
@@tonic8352 🤔
@@tonic8352 RGB is much more common and better for text readability. BGR can make text appear blurry.
@@bizarro-7 It is important though to clarify that this isn't a fault of the monitor itself, but rather that Windows and other operating systems antialias text with the expectation of RGB so it doesn't work well. BGR is just so uncommon that this never got fixed. However, Windows ClearType can help alleviate these issues and in fact make text clearer than it would normally be even on an RGB monitor, for applications that support it.
I ended up going with this monitor because the price has dropped to around $400. It feels like an absolute steal at that price for the feature set, esp since I want it for Valorant.
I have the G27QC-A and it’s awesome, best monitor I ever had
Is this for real @Robeytech
I have a question does this monitor have the 1 ms response time by default or do I have to turn something on ? I just got this monitor
always noticed the overdrive settings cause some artifacts, not sure why they add it
So what’s the differences between m27q and m27qx other than the refreshing rate?
500? Man wish I could afford that. I ahve the 144hz M27G and love it, but might get a second one with better HDR support. Or a M27Q for 170hz. If I coudl afford it, certainly would get a M27QX...I prefer higher FPS 1440p over 4K, especially considering gamign at 1440p seems to get way mroe consistent FPS than 4K
Is this the same as the M27Q-P but with a higher refresh rate?
Gigabyte M27Q-X or Asus Tuf Gaming VG27AQM1A for shooter games and better response time
How does a higher refresh rate hurt single player gaming?
Looking into this for my first gaming PC. Was planning on getting a 3080. Just want to play 1440p 240fps on games like Fortnite, cod and overwatch. Would this be a good monitor to pair with a 3080?
Same
Yes.
Si, con una 3080 puedes jugar cualquier juego competitivo o multijugador arriba de 240fps
Did you experience the monitor flickering at any time? I got one and it's flickering every few moments on all inputs. Changed all cables, updated firmware, and turned overdrive off. The issue persists.
Did you get this issue fixed? If so what was the solution.
How's the ghosting with gsync on?
Bruh why'd he release a video 7 months ago with Christmas Music in it. The first song is a Jazz rendition of "What Child is This?" xD
Got this monitor a week ago. Just noticed that my wallpaper "burned" into the screen and when displaying grayscales when playing video games etc i am seeing the wallpaper as well as icons. Is this normal? Monitor hasn't been used for almost 12 hours and still seeing the "image retention / burn-in". What can I do? Should I send it back? It's a pity since I really liked it on first impressions
what happened in the end?
is this the Rev.1 or Rev.2 model?
I Have the orignal m27q great monitor high recommend 🙂
Awesome!
I’ve heard some issues with QC. How is your monitor holding up this far?
@@Tophu5301 had mine since about a month after it came out to market, not had a single problem so far 🙂 there is a tiny bit of back-light bleed in one corner, but I have seen alot worse back-light bleeding from other monitors, so far happy with the purchase 😀
@@tech_jims yeah guy i dream about this monitor but many people say that if its gigabyte its means shit and that problem with bgr but i heard problem overblown. I have choice between asus tuf gaming vg27aq and gigabyte m27q more tend to gigabyte but i just want to buy good/great 1440p monitor and won't be disappointed
@@godofdeath8785 either is a good monitor tbh 🙂 but with the m27q you got the very useful built in kvm switch which for me is a big bonus And yeah don't listen to anyone saying gigabyte is rubbish 🤔 ok they had one bad psu and they handled the situation very poorly 🙂 But that's one bad product 😕 the rest of their stuff is excellent and I never personally had any issuses with any gigabyte product 😉
Sorry if it's a stupid question, I'm kinda noob, but will this monitor work optimally with a NVIDIA card (rtx 3060)?
Hmm. He says in the video it might be overkill with an an m27q-x with a 3060. Not sure what to buy now. m27q is only 34 dollars cheaper where i live. Might as well futureproof myself for 34 dollars extra
@@tridungvo4807 in esports games where 240hz actually matters (CS GO, Siege, Valorant, etc…) you’ll easily hit 240hz even with a 3060 if you have a fast cpu.
@@cha0ss0ldier-4 only in those games though. Every thing else it won’t get near 240hz
This or the G7?
Gigabyte did not make panels only ui psu stand dispaly input and that sort of stuff it's LG panel i think
This dude looks like billy mays
Mmmm Crazy how I have been looking for a 240Hz and this video pops up.... God is this a sign? hahahaha Yes, my son.... Me: Buying it!!!
What is your experience so far? The monitor is quite new and I’d like some real word thoughts.
@@Tophu5301 I am loving it. I have a 360Hz 1080, but 4k 240Hz looks so clean. I bought it since I build a PC with 3090 and i9 12900k. I do recommend this monitor. Just make sure that you google the best settings for it.
It seems like these high-end Gigabyte monitors which are lacking in G-SYNC may be a bit of a mismatch with the AORUS Model S and Model X pre-built desktops which run on Nvidia GeForce RTX graphics. Makes me wonder where G-SYNC is in Gigabyte's importance graph...
“You accidentally press the wrong button and killed your grandparents” this humor is why I friggin love watching your videos XD
😜
Thx for the review . I am about to buy a new monitor and my i have two options . The Gigabyte M27Q X and MSI MAG274QRF the non QD and I don't know which one to pick the price difference aren't a a lot in my country so I can afford both . so which one to pick ?
please update
I also was torn between these two monitors. May I ask which one you chose. Of the one you chose what is your experience after several weeks of use
@@Tophu5301 bought the m27q x . the colors is good but it have bad quality control and mine had 2 dead pixels so i returned it and waiting for the Optix MAG274QRX to be available in my country . the m27q x used it for 4 days so I cant judge it well but it have blurring with some modes so u have to use specific mode like balance . u can watch hardware unboxed review . I don't recommend the m27q x with this bad quality control . and btw hardware unboxed reviewed the Optix MAG274QRX u can compare and decide depending on ur budget and availability of the monitors
What did u mean about (bad quality control) and, the blurring thing does that show on the standered mode in this monitor cuz I heard about that issue in this model so if I play in standard mode it does not show off ?
Umm I had The Gigabyte Aorus FI27Q 1440@165Hz die on me out of nowhere so i don’t trust gigabyte anymore
Lol that can happen with any brand so doesn’t make sense. Lemons exist everywhere. Matter fact Asus and Samsung have the most lemons. They are one of the most “trusted” brands

Unfortunately, nobody's comparing you to Seth Rogan. However I do see people comparing you to Craig Feldspar from Malcolm in The Middle.
Actually it happens a ton!
