Brantley Gilbert is by far one of my fave male country singers. Its really friggin' frustrating that he never gets nominated for any awards. They always pick Luke Bryan. He's good too. But I like Brantley 10 times better. He deserves some credit

This song has qualities and feel to it that I just haven't seen in a song before. It's truly original. It's not about jacked-up trucks and getting chicks, nor is it another rendition of what "country" is that's been beat into the ground. He does name-drop "Georgia On My Mind," but in a way that promotes the storytelling aspect; he's not just flinging out a series of the past greats to promote himself. This song is about life decisions and where your heart truly lies. Such a unique piece of music is really aspiring, yet it wasn't exactly a chart-topper. Guess real music gets thrown aside over the lame stereotypes people expect/demand.

The message in the song guys is pretty clear. But for those of you who don't follow. He left his girl to pursue his music career. He stopped for the night literally just before the Tennessee boarder. Leaving everything behind. Family, friends, his girl and the many miles he drove to get there. But realized as he almost made it the one thing that kept him going is the one thing he left behind. Her.. so he turned back letting go of his dream to go to the one that God had already answered for him.

I think he may have wrote this when he was seeing Jana Kramer. It’s a heart-wrenching song. I love anything he puts out. I didn’t realize he had written so many of Jason Aldean’s songs. I think he has a better voice than Andean. I saw Jason Andean when he was first getting started and I liked his music because it had rock in it. I’m very happy that Brantley found the woman of his dreams and is very happy now. And Jana and Jason, too. You can be in love with someone, but sometimes life takes you down a different road. We have to learn as we go. I love Luke, too, but I’m like everyone else. Why isn’t my man Brantley winning major awards? I guess popularity has a lot to do with it. If you offered me a free concert to any of these guys, Brantley would win heads down.

I think he has a better voice than Andean. I saw Jason Andean when he was first getting started and I liked his music because it had rock in it. I’m very happy that Brantley found the woman of his dreams and is very happy now. And Jana and Jason, too. You can be in love with someone, but sometimes life takes you down a different road. We have to learn as we go. I love Luke, too, but I’m like everyone else. Why isn’t my man Brantley winning major awards? I guess popularity has a lot to do with it.
