Homemade snow globe

Homemade snow globe 😍 Here’s the bubble experiment video! It hard to compress everything in a short video, but bottom line- I had so much fun with this and I would encourage you to try too! The instructions said to have sugar in it, but for me- the crystallization of the bubble still worked WITHOUT the sugar. You honestly can do it with simple dish soap and water. The glycerin (or corn syrup) just helps make the bubble stronger. I had fun and the inner child of me came out for this too. 🙂

What I used:
- a small lid
- tablespoon of warm water
- one large squirt or pump of dish soap
- two to three drops of glycerin

Renca is bundled up with her coat and she has her ear muffs on too.
Okayyy so it’s -8 (-22c) but feels like -27 (-32c) and I will do the bubble experiment! I’m going to follow the instructions here. The instructions read:
Bowl and spoon
200 mL warm water
2.5 Tosp corn syrup (for thickness)
2 tablespoons sugar (for crystallization)
2.5 Tbsp dish soap (for bubble formation)
1 straw
1 water or pop bottle
modeling clay or playdough
A day that is cold with no wind
The instructions did say corn syrup but I don’t have any so I’m using glycerin instead which is the alternative. Let’s see if it works! Join me for this experiment.
Renca is showing her putting a spoonful of that mix on a lid. She blows a bubble on the lid then she brings it outside but it pops. She tries again but the bubble popped again. So she decides to blow the bubble outside and it works but there’s no crystallization. It looks like a sugar igloo. She decided to pop it and remake everything again. She removes sugar and just focuses on only the water soap and glycerin mix. It works!! The crystallization works! The bubble shows some crystals growing inside and it looks pretty because of the sunset. She shows three attempts then two photos of the crystal bubble at the end.
