Jerry rice ran a 4.71 and kupp ran a 4.62. Fitz ran a 4.63. The eye test will always remain true. Unless they only run go routes, the straight line speed isn’t as important as changing direction like when you run routes.

    • What matters is the speed in full football gear. For some guys the NFL speedster you know by names it's not a big drop for most it's significant or is limited to straight line like Scott Miller. This isn't even useful test.

    • @@GlassTopRX7 I agree 100%. That’s why I’m more impressed with McConkey’s time than Worthy’s. McConkey’s just adds to what I’ve already seen from him. A dawg that runs some of the best routes I’ve seen, separates, great hands, great instincts and just an overall high football IQ.

  • Mark my words: Troy Franklin is the best overall receiver in this draft class, and will be a WR1/WR2 in his rookie season. He has everything you want from a receiver! Size, speed, hands, route running, footwork, and especially his versatility. There wasn’t a single defender that was able to shut him down this past season. As a dolphins fan I would love it if we drafted him, but we have a pretty solid WR core. So as a ducks fan I hope the chargers get him so Herbert has a fellow duck on the team and will have more than just Keenan Allen to rely on to make big plays 😅
