I hope I don't get anymore phone calls asking if I have a Patreon because then I'll have to say yes and that you can get to it by the link in the video description
I see you added the links, which were always there and totally not missing 👀
Love your videos Ronnie, you make me laugh. Laughing is good for the soul, so I just joined your Patreon... Keep up the good work!!!
Snuck _The Terminator_ into this one as well, huh? Well done.
I'm extremely happy you added collar ties to the walls.
No super chat options?
This man really made a whole damn video game just to keep us entertained! The amount of work you put into videos is insane!
It's like procrastination, except the less lazy version.
And then did the actual work regardless!
@@Rileygee0224 Anticrastination?
@@FlowTfpv Sure why not
@@whatsthat9408 How do you know??? Maybe the video game actually got the rafter supports installed. Hmmm.
This man actually went and coded an entire-ass game to not have to put up more lumber, but it was a bit, AND HE STILL DID THE WORK OF PUTTING THE LUMBER UP.
Are you sure? Maybe he just pulled us all into his simulation and now he is controlling what we all see as reality!
It was a good bit.
that's why I subbed, the quality and dedication in his videos are something else.
I have no idea how much extra time your little mini-film moment add to these videos, but I'm here to reassure you they're worth it.
As an ex technician of carports (technically the size up for industrial buildings), you have a few choices regarding the tracks. They can follow the roofline which requires semi-custom bent j-tracks along with springs recalculated to actually lift it the entire way, or entirely new doors that open outwards.Barn doors is a cheap but clunky solution.
or just roller doors
@@tehblacksmith9302 it's an idea, but roller doors are generally pretty pricey iirc. Their biggest weakness is how sensitive they are to being bent from a mishap, and poor weather insulation. I might be biased against them though, because I hate working on them.
@@NuclearHeadshot good point. I have roller doors without sound or heat insulation. Bad in Summer and bad in winter. Nice in spiring and Fall
I don't know if it's the humor, the ingenuity, the clear simple explanations, or what. These are my favorite videos on KZhead.
It's all of the above, and more!
its the fact that you have watched him grow up on here. he is like a 2nd child. always makes you proud.
Same, but now we need to wait another two months or so for a new video......
Just wish there were more and more timely
All the above & his editing is brilliant!
Gotta love how Ronald casually returned after 2 months to continue renovating his garage
i knew you werent dead mr Heisenberg.
You are everywhere heisenberg
bro 😂
@@rbminer4567 same as you... he is where youtube want him to be
Would be good if he would push out Part 3 now LOL
I heard that Terminator 2 rhythm in there, Ron! Lol! Great progress on a cool shop. Can't wait for part three. I hope that you angle the doors on the slope of the roof. And convert those extension springs to a torsion system why you have the doors apart.
That's EXACTLY what I was thinking too. Any company that makes garage doors should be able to supply some non-90 degree track bends.
I heard the same thing and thought surely, I'm not the only one!
He's done it before, during the Fiero series
Damn that Fingerprints workshop simulator looks scary AF
I appreciate not only your hard work but your commitment to think of my ADHD and keeping your videos edited so well so I actually watch the whole video without skipping around.
Bro... this is straight up the most relatable thing I have ever read in my entire life.
@@FuzzysGarage ❤❤
Dude, same. It’s nearly impossible for me not to skip ahead, I watch every second or his videos lol
@@cowboyzr2 none of his scenes last more then 3-4 seconds. Keeps you entertained!
“You can do a lot with three inches.” 😬 I love seeing your progress. Keep going, Ronnie!
It must be his skills as a craftsman that keeps Mrs Ron satisfied. 😂

You have got to be one of the most talented and creative creators on this platform man!
After finishing every restoration series (up to this point) with the ability to watch the next episode at any time, the waits between episodes is killer, but man am I excited once the next video drops. Can't wait to see part 3
10:15 - 10:18 - nail gun ensemble of the terminator theme. love your work bud.
I was looking for this comment 🤣👍
I was looking for this as well. I’m glad I’m not the only one to noticed this. 😂
@@nathanpair1231 we probably just ticked a box on some mental health website’s checklist.
@@DieselWeazel the three of us would make a great team. no wait, 4, @ronald recorded it that way :D
Fellow houstonian here, definitely get you a mini split or two in that garage once you are getting close to done. It has been a life changer for working in the garage in this heat lol
keep it up ronald hand sausage
Everyday Ronald Finger uploads is a good day
I need to get on this myself. My Dad left me a huge shop when he died. Lots of potential but the place is borderline falling apart, thanks for the inspiration!
Ronald I do things like this alone but this was incredible.. The Reagan quote was epic hilarious. You could have rented or borrowed a scaffold. It came out beautiful.
Anytime I open KZhead and there’s a new Ronald Finger video on my front page I either drop what I’m doing or set time aside later in the day to make sure I watch it. Been watching since the first episode of the Fiero series, love the content. You’re one of the main channels that got me into the cars. Thank you.
Kudos on all the hard work to get the beam up and braces up. Loved the simulator 😅
I had that same problem with the roll up door on my shop. I ended up installing the folding glass doors because whatever roll up solution I tried just warped under the weight of the door.
great video! Couple of comments... If you're going to spend that much on materials, also go get a taller ladder. Trust me you're going to need it in the future. Its a lot easier if you have a hammer drill or hammer drill setting on your driver when going into concrete.
16:20 my biggest props for doing that! It looks so, so much better. I would have done the same and I'm glad there are people thinking the same way, even its not for any structual needs
Top notch editing and creativity, as usual! Great video
Video game was so worth it. :D
These videos are the best! Can't wait to see how you fix your garage door "problem".
Roland. I did something similar and added a high lift kit to garage door. It effectively allows it to be close to roof line when open and not horizontal. It allows door to be opened and closed with car on a lift. I found great supplier on the googles.
Absolutely stunning! The amount of effort put into ALL of the production, from building and filming to complete video. The script, the jokes, subtle little detail, massive detail, medium... detail? The music, the editing, the fact that you made a game! And did a really cool scene with the torch stuff. I feel like my comment isn't even 1% of praise you're supposed to be getting for your wonderful work.
I saw the ending foreshadowed at the moment you took the top rails down for the garage doors. I did enjoy the simulator portion of the video, always doing something odd with the photography...reminded me of portal. Good job.
Your perseverance to complete large-scale projects with no built-in deadlines, adapting to unforeseen obstacles along the way, is inspiring af. BTW: When is FWS23 making it to Steam?
This would be the perfect time to drop down the lighting installation and add insulation with some ventilation. You know, if there's a 2" air gap between the roof skin and the secondary water brake, it keeps the structure cool and dry. But if you simply spray some foam and glue the metal skin into the wooden structure with it, everything rots with mold and termites. And the smell.. When the roof stops breathing, the floor starts to smell. And that stink doesn't go away with a fan. No matter how massive or No.1 that fan is.
Did not see Fingerprints Workshop Simulator coming. That was great! When will it be on Steam? 🤣
Omg I can’t wait for 9 months to pass too see the next one! Love you Ronny!
The amount of work that went into this small peace of entertainment... God I've missed you...
This may already be completed, but if you haven't reattached the tracks, make them hug the underside of the roof. Even if you have to pay a garage door tech to help make it all work, it's worth it. Also, you have a platform upon which you could install a gantry crane. Even if you just use that doubled-up tall strut channel attached to the ties, you could run two tracks down the length of the shop, and build a square frame that can ride in those tracks, itself acting as a tracks for a crossbar that could adjust front to back that eight feet.
I was feeling a bit flat today but this video has cheered me right up, you are a blessing my man ❤.
Man you are really making that old garage work for you. Nice work
Creative garage doors 101. Follow the roof line with your tracks. Add a torsion spring Liftmaster sells garage door openers that drive the axle on the torsion spring. And lifts the door with a cable.
I plan to get overhead roll up doors too. Excited to see what you go with!
Man, that 1:20 monologue and those faces you were making, I burst out laughing, pure gold. God bless you Ronald.
I cannot express how much I enjoyed the construction to video game to psychological thriller to construction transition. Absolutely incredible!
I found this channel today and I love it! I love the reality DIY. Using harbor freight power tools. Not expensive muiwaukee. Keep up the great work man! You earned my subscribe.
This is quality content! Love it!
It’s always a great day when you upload a video my dude, keep it going, you’re great!
God bless, this is easily one of the best video edits I've ever seen. From one Texan automotive KZhead creator to another, well done!!
Love the 80s music in the background Ronnie!!!!
Thank you for bringing us along on your journeys.
Terminator reference with the nail gun????
Did i get a hint of Terminator theme at 10:15? Touche Sir.
Very cool mate. Love the 3D modelling segway. Wish I had space like you do but I'll just keep on with small improvements in my shop without good headroom. G'day from Australia
love that you show the endless screwups and broken screws and challenges along the way. even if you plan everything out ahead of time, you still have to redo the entire plan at least twice.
You sir, are one of KZhead's treasures. I admire how much you can make happen and wish to be half as good as you in editing and creating. I could watch you for days. When is the netflix series coming out hahaha
Top tier entertainment. You always find a way to make a true example of "you can do anything you put your mind to". Hats off to you also for having the patience and determination to sit through so much footage and edit it. On top of making a game... In just two short months you've accomplished more than some will in a lifetime. Keep it up!
Dude. Nobody has any business being this talented!
I genuinely get excited now Everytime a new video is posted. Keep it up!
Splendid production, as always. Love this channel.
Another option you missed would have been to just move the rafter ties up. A couple 2x4s on either side of the rafter beams about 18" down from the peak, bolted and glued, will keep the roof from sagging. It's not a good idea for a roof that gets a heavy snow load, but Houston doesn't get all that much snow, right?
Epic! Just knock structural bits out, no messing. Love it.
Love that Terminator 2 edit with the nail gun. Always full of hidden gems 😎
This guy is amazing in so many ways. Getting home tired and finding a notification for a new video on this channel is always a very good feeling.
Babe wake up Ronald finger posted
So good! That garage is coming along so well!! Can’t wait till you can work on cars and things in there!!! Thank you
You get more and more creative with your story telling. Well done!
Somehow, you keep topping yourself. Each video is better than the last. Best editing so far too.
At 10:16, that subtle Terminator reference 😂🤌🏼
Great Job and with the humor in it this was so much fun to watch !!!
Your editing and humour just keep getting better and better. Love the work ethic and determination too. Well done!
I've never watched a video on this channel before, but the added clip of the videogame made me instantly subscribe.
I started watching when you were restoring a fiero ... then you restored a motorcycle .. and now you're restoring a garage .. a decade from now I'll be watching you restore a historical monument.
Ront what a great piece of work! You are clearly brilliant and driven! Great video! Thanks!
Great friggin work dude. Your videos are worth the wait 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I've watched you while you were restoring the Fiero and I must say I've enjoyed you greatly. Am an old fart with way too much time on my hands so you've filled many a day watching your progress. I previously watched you on my computer but now am watching on a streaming device which does not allow for comments, that being the case, after watching you on the EXPANDING my workshop I closed down my streamer and jumped on my computer (I think dust literally flew off the fan) to come here and tell you just how much I enjoy you today on this installment...I laughed so much and waqnted to come tell you just how much, Thank You for being you and doing what you do...U Da Bestest ...
Hi Ronald I really love your video's and desperately waiting for the next one. The Fiero resto was an epic journey where you show off your skills and knowledge while educating, well, the rest of the world accompanied with some fun skits. Even though I'm not a motorbike fan truly loved that series too, and yes would have loved to see a full resto on that one too. There is just something really satisfying watching you makes all the parts look brand new. The garage reno is amazing and very happy you have your own place now where you get to build and reno things you like. Please upload more video's, we love it! Cheers from Australia
I wish I was friends with this dude, cause I feel like I could just come over and find him making some wild shit possible! Always awesome videos, please keep it up! Cant wait for the next!
Ronnie, these little horror moments you're sneaking in are GREAT!
Thanks, now I tricked my brain to feel satisfied as if I actually improved my own space! 17 minutes and I didn’t even have to lift my butt off the couch.
So I install garage doors for a living snd you can get roof pitched track. Although you won't be able to use your extension springs anymore, you'll need to convert your doors to torsion spring.
10:14 Nail gun 'Terminator' theme. Nice!
Entertaining, impressive and informative as always. Now I'm waiting for videos of the Z build. If it is anything like the Fiero build this will be SWEET. The Z is one of my favorite cars
Dude.....please come back. Best channel on YT
never stop making videos, every video is so creative ive been watching since the beginning if the fiero, 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Every video has been straight gold. Thanks man!!
Please don’t make us wait so long for part 3 😢
From one Ronald to another, and from someone that makes YT videos as a career you knocked this out of the park dude. Your delivery, jokes, setup, everything. Great job.
Even after all these years you continue to amaze me.... love it!!!
Hilarious. And nice work
Are you going to publish the game somewhere so that we too can avoid manual labor?
Amazing editing as usual! Really liked the terminator part.
Love the subtle terminator reference
Dude - far and away my fav youtuber. Never change. Love your work!
Normally I'd have no interest in watching someone restore and old garage......but you make it informative and highly entertaining. Good work, Sir!
I has the coolest tiburon when I was younger. Nobody ever never what it was since I had debadged it. Excited for that project of yours.
Good job Ronnie Always a pleasure to watch you work Perhaps you can make door rails for your garage that follow the roofline? If it’s too heavy either double up or switch to stronger springs Just an idea
Thank you for being my DIY inspiration. Cant wait to see more on the garage renovation!
Had been eagerly waiting for this video as I'm very interested in this project. You did not disappoint my friend!! That was so much fun to watch. Can't wait for the next one.
The production and humor of these vids is just going up and up. Brilliantly well done!
absolutely love the style of your videos, I came here initially for the Z restoration, but I'm actually really enjoying these garage restoration videos as well, looking forward to more later!
This man subtly put the Terminator theme when using that nail gun and thought we wouldn't notice. Noice
When I was enlisted, a friend of mine and I would key our radios and tap out the beginning of the Terminator song as a secret 'hey there' to each other as we worked across the base from one another. You including that just made my day.
