It was actually very common to call "unisex" "bisexual" a few years ago. Maybe it was a bit outdated by the time the show aired, but still a pretty common thing people would say

My brother once asked for a raise because he knew he deserved it for staying with a company that wasn't doing so well and he took on extra work & critical tasks that likely would have stuck with him for a prolonged time should he stay. The manager laughed it off. He called the bluff and gave that manager his resignation letter the next day, and for the next 2 days a select group of decision-makers kept setting up meetings to negotiate retaining him. If they had just given him the raise he asked for, they would have saved sooo much money. Instead he negotiated a 3X pay bonus for 6 contracted months, and then 50% permanent raise after that (which he never took because after 6 months the company was still ran by idiots so he left anyway). The 3X salary jumpstarted his 6-digit salary tier for the next job. It helps to know your value.
