DISASTER! Stanley Got His Head Stuck | Day 4
Today was a very difficult day. Stanley is absolutely fine, doesn't seem to have affected him at all, he still tries to push his face through .. We always want to share with you the good and the bad to give a true representation of dog ownership .. and this is the bad, and we hope everyone can learn from this and the mistakes we made.
Hindsight is a great thing, I could have done so much different but you never know how you'll react in a situation until you are dropped right in the middle of it. A learning point for sure. He's okay and that's the main thing! An emotional day to say the least ..
Give us a thumbs up if you enjoyed the video and Subscribe if you're not already!

Poor baby. Glad he’s ok. Sure he gave himself a good scare. Don’t be to hard on yourself stuff like this happens like you said.
You all probably dont care at all but does anyone know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account? I was dumb lost the password. I love any tips you can offer me
@Byron Aarav Instablaster :)
It's not your fault, Karl. Babies do these type of things. You got him out and he is safe. He knows you guys love him.
I respectfully disagree hardcore with this statement. This is absolutely owner fault. It's painful to watch, considering the fact that anybody with half a brain here can see that those gate bars are far too wide for a pug puppy. If you came down and you later, the dog could have literally snapped his own neck.
Travis, how come Pablo and Winston didnt get their heads stuck?
My new cousin tried walking and fell ON THE FLOOR ON THE NOSE HIS NOSE BLEEDeD AND HE BIT HIS LIP I FELT BAD

Winston was so cute giving Stanley kisses after he was set free. Heartbreaking to see Stanley struggling to get his head out, luckily it wasn't too long and you were at home.
Stan: *in distress* Winston: *big brother senses tingling*
Winston even brought teddy bear for stan to be kalm it was so etuc
Karl you are the best pug parent of the world. It is not your fault. They love you a lot. Kisses for everyone!

Stanley is just fine! You did nothing wrong, he got his head stuck, he cried, you came, now look at him he’s back playing with Winston. You are a good and kind pug daddy. This could happen to any one with a pet. It could also be a learning experience to people with the animals especially puppies. You never know what their heads can fit into!❤️👌🏻😍
Oh, Karl, don't beat yourself up matey. These things happen. We know those boys are loved....

What about placing something at the bottom of the bars, only for now, so that this will not happen again? Stan will soon be a little bigger and naturally won’t fit in between the bars. Maybe some transparent wrap plastic or something, only for now. Just an idea so you can feel at peace when you are not close to them. Sending you and the boys much love! ❤️🐶

Pure love comes with these moments of absolute terror. Whether for child or pet: it feels the same in a crisis. No matter how vigilant we are, “stuff” happens. We just don’t make the same mistake twice.
Winston is such a good big brother.
Bless him, so scary when that howl starts
Karl, you guys are doing great. I think its wonderful that you show what happens with puppers, good and bad. He's okay and you should never feel like you failed. You're an amazing pug dad.
Like others have said; don't beat yourself up! You're very caring and responsible with your pugs. So lucky that it wasn't a situation with them home alone. Something to think of if we ever get a puppy. Thanks for sharing so that others can take that into consideration when dog/puppy proofing their home.
....oh the joys of a new baby! Yes, you and Stanley did everyone a service by showing us this.... people need to know this can happen... he’s ok, he just scared himself... and you and all of us 😳..... truthfully, I had to fast forward through the part where he was crying....
Oh little Stanley, he was trying to get to his brothers probably through the gate.....must go AROUND the gate!!! Not trying to be funny but you naturally felt bad about his situation, but handled it with calm and clear thinking and took care of it, just as we all knew you would. I know how much love you and Chelsey have for these little guys. I must say I am sooooo proud of Winston. He has really come into his own with little Stanley. Pablo will come around but he must be thinking, what....another little rug rat ...... come on man!! LOL.... They are all precious and hopefully no more heart-stopping moments for a while! Deep breaths!! Love you guys!
No karl. This is part of parenthood....trustme...its ok to cry...if you hear my stories...you will laugh...the stunts my son has done when he was younger....🙈..today he is 21..and we have a 2 yr old pug...so he realizes what we had gone thru as parents....chill ur doing a super fantabulous job.
I’m so so glad these pugs have you as a dad Karl 😭💓
As distressing as that was to see, you did the RIGHT thing showing what can go awry with something as simple as a gate. Imagine if you were both away for 8 hrs and this happened! I ALWAYS used a gate when my dogs were pups and we both worked out of the house. Can’t imagine coming home to that. THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS KARL! You may have saved a life 💜💜
❤ You need someone to give you a big hug. ❤ 🐶 Silly sausage Stanley, he was more shocked than hurt. 🐶
We love you Karl, no mater what !!!!!! Do not cry, it is OK !!!! Big hug from Canada !!!!!
This was a thing that no one could have seen coming. You are a great father to these pugs. This was a freak incident that could have happened anytime. Ultimately, with this experience, as with all experiences, there is something to learn from it, or if possible, somewhere to improve. That is basically what being a dad is all about. He wasn't injured which is always a plus. Let me know if you want some pics of our pugs if you need cheering up
When my pug was a puppy, I was holding her while standing up and she wiggled out of my hands and I dropped her. She made the same kind of horrible noises as Stanley. It's so awful and scary going through something like that with a puppy, but totally normal! She's 3 now and a big goofy happy girl! On my lap right now, sending you love from Canada bud!
Don’t beat yourself up Karl. You’re the best dad to your boys. x
Poor baby glad he's okay and Winston giving him kisses is the best
You are the BEST dad any puppy could ask for! You care so deeply for them, and we all feel that xxxx
I don't think I've commented on here. I would like to say... you are being way to hard on yourself over what happened and it looks like he's learned from it 👍. Sometimes things happen and people learn from it. So now some dog parents will know to be cautious with those gates . I'm sure it was hard editing this too... but all's well that ends well 😊
Hello Karl, i have been following your channel for years now and i want you to know that i care a lot about you and your family and i can feel how good people you all are. Please know that people love you, care for you and appreciate your videos. Don't worry, puppies are always going through such situations and we all know and watch how an amazing dad you are so don't feel sad and please don't worry about the long videos because i enjoy every single second of it. The video today was shocking in the beginning but it quickly moved to heartwarming, specially when Win came to kiss Stan right after he was freed. That was so sweet and showed how much Win really cares for Stan. Keep the videos coming but with no stress to you. Your well-being matters as well. All the love from Germany xx
ITS OK KARL,IT ALWAYS IS WORSE WHEN YOUR ALONE. THANK goodness for family. He's ok WINSTON WAS AS WORRIED AS YOU, BLESS HIM😘TAKE CARE, STAY ON YOUR TOES WITH THIS BABY😰💝💝🐶🐶🐶FROM🌉 across the pond
You and Chelsea are amazing parents. When Stan called for help- you came and saved him 💚 The fact that it shook you so hard shows just how much you love him. Pablo, Winston, and Stanley are just so dang precious -just got my first 8.5week old pug puppy-and I'm head over heels in love.
Karl, I cannot tell you how to feel, but I DO want to say this: The mere fact that you love your boys THIS much, that you are sharing the good and the hard times with us, and continuing to do every you can to give them a good life, is everything I need to know about you. YOU are a very good man, who is the best puggy Dad Pabs, Win & Stan could’ve hoped for. You are an empathetic & kind human being and I’m thrilled to help support You, Chelsea & Your beautiful boys.
You are such a good foggy dad. My heart broke to see him so panicked. I love Stanley’s and Winston’s bond. Everyday I look forward to you and family’s vlog. Thanks for sharing!
I cannot imagine how scary and upsetting this must have been for you! My wife and I have 2 pugs and though I know the truth does precious little to help ease the pain, these things absolutely happen- especially to curious little pups! You are an AMAZING puppy Daddy and you absolutely DID NOT FAIL little Stan the Man- you and your lady provide an incredible life for your boys, filled with love and fun and I guarantee this morning is already a distant memory for Stanley. I am so, so sorry you had to experience that, but you handled it like a champ and so did your little boy- what an adorable little pug he is. Keep up the great work and I hope you are able to feel better about the whole thing soon- seriously, you have a huge heart and each of those rascals are so fortunate to spend their lives with you both in such a safe and loving environment. My wife and I hope you have a much better day tomorrow- hugs and kisses to Pablo, Winston and little Stanley from our home across the pond to yours- cheers!
Please don't worry Karl, things happen with everyone. Its an experience which has to happen to learn and you & Stanley will be more careful after this situation. And the series was "How I met your mother". Sending you both love :)
You did not fail. You are so true, and caring. you are a good man Karl . You have a true caring heart. You have so much love to give
I just started watching your videos today! I had to let my sweet 13 year old pug move on to the next the middle of April... it was pretty horrible and the pandemic made it worse. Anyway, watching your pugs and the introduction of your sweet & tough Stanley is good therapy for my grief. Fresh beginnings and pugs are bound to bring some joy to ones' heart. I realize by now Stanley will be a big guy, but I'd say anyone else with those baby gates to probably remove them if you have a puppy as they're designed so a human baby head can't get stuck between the bars... or an idea might be to attach a piece of plexi-glass, but it would need to be very secure! Maybe have 4 holes drilled in each corner of the plexi-glass and attach it very tightly to the gate with zip ties. Being a parent is HARD whether to 2-legged or 4-legged, trying to figure out all the ways the little munchkins could hurt themselves or get into trouble. HUGS. Cheers
Poor Baby getting stuck in the gate. I know your heart stopped when you heard those cries. My Pug was blind and fell down the basement stairs on to the concrete floor. Sending a big hug from Chicago.
Don't be so hard on yourself!.. Life happens.. I have had 2 pugs, and I understand the tears!.. God love you!. All is well !!
Shoutout to your Mum for making herself available and coming right over to help you. God she’s are great! She really stepped up…💕🐾
this is so peak!!! hearing his screaming was literally heart breaking!! but you guys are such amazing parents!!!!!!!!!! stuff happens with puppies and thats just how it is xxxxxx
Oh Karl, mate that would have been so scary! It used to scare me too when our pug Murphy was little with the baby gate, I thought he would get stuck. It’s just one of those things and you were able to help Stanley quickly, it’s is so not your fault. You’re such a dedicated Pug Dad. PS - how I met your mother theme 😁👍🏻
Karl, it's obvious that you care deeply about your precious pets. you and Chelsea do the absolute best you can for your furry friends. don't beat yourself up. (easier said than done) appreciate your sharing the good, bad, and ugly with us. all's well that ends well.
What an absolute nightmare ! This was so sad to watch with his little noises. Handled it well Karl.
You have such a good heart Karl and you are a wonderful Dad!!!
You are a fab daddy 🐾🐾👏👏👏👏👏
I had one of those gates for my dog when she was a puppy. She would chew on the bars and one time she got the top part of her mouth stuck in a locked position and started screaming for the almighty. It took four of us to remove the gate from the wall and bend and shape it enough to get her out. She was fine once we got her free. What more can you say other than these things happen.
Poor Stanley! He's probably forgotten it already so don't feel bad Karl. Pups get into things all the time.
I know that was so heartbreaking but who knew that Stanley could get his head through those bars. We have the same gates for our puggies. Good to know that this could happen. No shame. We all know how you look after your boy’s so if anyone starts hating they themselves should be ashamed! You both are amazing pug parents!! ♥️
I have baby gates for my pug too 🐾🐾
Anyone who knows how to use a tape measurer and common sense when looking at the size of their pug puppies head.
Travis Alex no, Travis. You are speaking out of fear. These are baby gates, and are used for children that are starting to crawl on up to easily the size of Stanley’s size. If you’re as upset at this as I am, take it up with the manufacturer. Myself, I’m taking George’s down this minute
Karl you are an awesome Dad. The sheer fact that you care so much proves it! Keep doing what you do and loving those boys!
There is just nothing like a pug puppy. Stanley is a precious angel. Love watching him interact with his big brothers. Kind of making me want a pug puppy for my 12 year old pug Buster...
ohh, I'll brush those tears. I'm SO sorry you guys had to deal w. that. Those whimpers are heartbreaking! I'm so relieved he's OK. who would have known, baby gate?? we love you guys, you bring a lot of cheer to my life bc I share the same insane, deep, beautiful "I'd throw myself into oncoming traffic just to save your life" kind of love for my pug. He's my sanity. Look at it this way, it hurts because the love is soooooooo deep. love hurts : )
It's okay, Karl. I think most of us have been there and had the same reaction. You and Chelsey are great parents to your dear grumble and show a great amount of integrity in showing us the downs as well as the ups. It is appreciated! Love to you all! 💜
Awwww,my heart went t to you, I know how you felt, your fur baby was hurt, not your fault, thank God you were home! And this video was fantastic, it showed the true life of a parent of fur babies, they are our children when something happens to them, it affects us emotionally! We tend to be hard on ourselves! I cried with you! Love you all! 😁❤❤❤🐾🐾🐾
Oh my goodness, started sweating seeing and hearing that. Karl, things like that can happen. When our pug was about 1,5 years old he managed to somehow get a hold of a giant toblerone chocolate bar (those airport shop size ones) which was on our dining table (should've been high enough and out of reach for him) and ate about half of it. Was checking through our WiFi cam what he was up to while I was at the office. Needless to say, instant heart attack, rushed to get a cab and literally told the cab driver that it was a matter of life and death so he better step on it. Arriving home, seeing the mess, he ate even the tin foil etc. so I tried to make him throw up a couple of times which eventually worked, called the vet and had to calmly explain what happened despite being in shock. End of story was he got some meds that made him instantly throw up till there was nothing more inside, then received some iv drops and got a tube of paste for his digestion. Till this day he's know at the vet's as the toblerone dog.. All's fine now, he turned 3 end of August. Hugs and kisses to Stanley!
Daniel Fritsche Wow ! That must of been stressful! Thank god you had that WiFi cam!! 😰
Mine did that, too. God knows how he got up to the cabinet! I already had experience (used to work with animals as well as owning 4 pugs and 3 beagles) depending on weight, a teaspoon for 15 lbs of hydrogen peroxide (doesn’t matter if they don’t get it all down) and you’ll feel terrible but your baby will completely empty his stomach.
I feel you on that one
OMG! I’m so glad that Stanley is okay. Don’t be too hard on yourself Karl. Stanley probably wanted to play with Winston. Thanks to Karl’s mommy who came to the rescue.
7:57 pug in the background said Ight imma spider
This is a heartbreaking video. I feel ur pain....but u did nothing wrong...it happened....just happened. Thank u for this. There’s a lesson for all dog families. Love u.
Hi Karl 🖐🏻 thank you for being so honest about how the incident with Stanley effected you it's ok that you cried and shared your emotions it just shows that you care. You and Chelsea are the most amazing pug parents and Pablo, Winston, Stanley a lucky to have you.
Karl your the best pug dad accidents do happen but you were there and got him out and hes fine, absolutely love your videos they make my day
This video was glorious. I know that seeing your babies in distress is upsetting especially when, in the moment, there's nothing you can do except comfort them but don't be so hard on yourself. Showing us is important and he was out of there in no time. Half way through the video you can see the balance. Sure the first few weeks are tough but seeing you surrounded by them snuggled up shows that it's all 100% worth and it was so lovely to watch. :) 💙 My pug got his head stuck in his biscuit tin one time. Silly dog! PS: I notice you've said in previous videos how thin Win is. In his defense, he is a very looooong boy🤣😊
Don’t beat yourself up Karl, our puppy got his claw caught in his gage, i it was horrendous the noise she made, but as soon as we sorted it she forgot, although it stayed with me for days 😱bloody puppies 😂😂😂
That's awful
Ah poor little fella! It brought a tear to my eye! Theres just something about animals in distress that really gets to me. The main thing is he's fine now and Winston is so so good with him! I love the little barks he does when he's playing with Winston! So so cute!
Bless you Stanley baby, beautiful and emotionally moving video. Made me cry too as being a pug parent, I understand how you feel about your pug babies especially when they are in distress. Love the way Winston takes care of baby Stanley and Pablo is do calm.all the time. You and Chelsea are the perfect parents for your boys. Stay blessed 🙏 We love you all.
* Pablo is so calm
Thank God, you were home!!!
I would’ve never guessed his head would fit through. Human babies do this stuff all the time. you did good not panicking & he stayed calm when you went to the door so he got that from you!
Don't be too hard on yourself these things happen even with children. You did what you should have you got help and you stayed there and kept him calm while you were waiting. You guys are great pug parents. Win is really great with Stan and Pablo is warming up to him a little. The Grumble is soooo cute
You are NOT a failure!!! You have great worth and are a great man.
Don’t beat yourself up about Stan getting stuck, he’s got an exceptionally small head when squeezed through a tight gap, maybe some chicken wire on the gate until he gets a bit more chunky. When you opened the door for them all to go out in garden, win and Stan ran out, pabs looked out and was like, nah, not yet. Theme tune: HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, is this E4 or E4+1, not sure if there’s any other channels, not had a tv since 2015.
Im so glad Stan is ok. Winston has turned into a Father/Big Brother nurturer. So proud of him.👍🏾👍🏾 I was dying laughing when you told Win and Pab it was not their dinner time. Winston just sat down and whined!!!! Pab....doesnt nothing move him right now. 🤔🤔
Karl you are a great great Dad. Never question that. You can genuinely tell you love the boys❤ Please dont cry Karl.... Hugs and kisses
Karl, you are such a good person. Please know your worth! Chelsea, the three pugmigos and us!!!!!! All of us are your biggest fans. Thank you for being you!🤗
OMG😮Stanley , my heart is melting when I hear your angel voice saying “help me getting out of here” thank you for you mom and dad who saved you little baby they are your heroes❤️be careful Stanley coz your brothers are worrying for you too
Don’t be hard on yourself. Accidents happen and don’t feel bad for filming it cause I’m glad you have and I now know because it’s made me think about my safety gate on my kitchen door 🤔 it was heart breaking to watch but as I said it’s raising awareness 😘 big kisses for Stanley
His scream really hit me , poor stanley 😭💔 don’t be to hard on yourself Karl , it happen with dogs / cats & babies , the most important is that Stanley is ok .Your such a lovely dad to your boys , see you in tears , really hit me deep . Don’t blame yourself Karl , much move from France 🇫🇷 🐶❤️
Man I can't imagine what you went through, and then had to edit the video! Thanks for sharing this, the true colors of taking care of dogs. The view of him climbing the steps in the garden kind of made me forget about the accident though! Sweet pug muffins.
Stan had quite an adventure today 😅😘😘😘😘Stuff like this can happen and naturally we feel horrible but Stan seems like a strong pupper❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️I’m sure like human babies doggo puppers also forget these accidents quickly😅Pablo is enjoying his space from Winston🤣🤣🤣🤣 and you are enjoying with all three. WHAT A WONDERRRRRFULLLL LIFEEEE!!!
Karl, I know the emotions you are going through as I had the same experience with my pug Ginger when she was about the same age as Stan. Is does make you feel awful and like you have failed them in someway. However both Stanley and Ginger have come through the experience without any lasting effects and they are both very healthy and happy again. Please know that I think you and Chelsea are fabulous parents and I truly enjoy watching your adventures, as do my three pug girls. Have a great day and enjoy the “boys” !
This is just too wholesome to watch! 🥺
I totally understand you Karl, but it’s not your fault don’t be sad. The boys have amazing parents. I love my pug as much as you love yours, they are angels
Thank you so much for showing this. I just got exactly the same gate to keep our new baby pug safe. I would never have expected that to happen. I'm so sorry it happened to poor Stanley, but thank you for sharing !
You are a good puggie daddy! There is no doubt in my mind. So glad little Stanley is ok. Give all the boys lots of kisses and thank you for showing that no matter how hard we try to protect our little family members things can and sometimes will happen. Cheers to you and your beautiful grumble.
Karl, it wasn’t your fault!!!! You are such an AMAZING pug Daddy ❤️❤️❤️❤️
You could maybe put some plexiglass on the lower half so they can still see through, but no head sticking. I know how terrifying it can be when accidents happen. You guys are such great parents. 💜 Love the time lapse. Yes, you have not failed. You found out what could happen and now you can fix it so nothing bad will happen. It takes time to get over the incident, but it’ll pass. We too have had all pugs, so I know how much you love them. 💜
His reaction when he realized he’s stuck😂👌🥺 “Aaahh!”
You crying broke my heart Karl. I know you feel bad but you did a great job rescuing Stan!!
Please don't stop posting these videos. They are like mana for me, while walking through the desert that is my life. 😊
Drina what do you mean
Uzi it’s a metaphor.
That squeal that he did when his head got stuck hurt me.🥺😢
You did the perfect thing in that situation, Karl. You supported his body and calmed him until help arrived. You did great.
Thank you for the raw honesty. It always distressing to see a child even a fur baby like Stanley get potentially caught in a dangerous situation. Your reaction is perfectly understandable response. But the calmness and care for Stan was outstanding. The love and care you show is wonderful both of you. You are very great guy, motivated, caring and creative. Please be patient with yourself, things will always be exciting in one way or another with The boys. Little Stan has a got a winner with you guys. Thanks for sharing. I ended up crying for you at the end. I hate seeing you feel so down. Be positive. Love the show love the boys and the effort put in and allowing us that entrance into the lives you lead. Take care mate you're a champ Cheers Doogie and Mark
I love all your Pugs Pablo, Winston, Stanley, make me smile all the time. Glad you eventually got him Karl with family help love you Stanley and Pablo and of course Winston 💙💙💙💙
You probably wont see this but a similar thing happen to my dog and the front gate, because he got scared of thunder while we were out and tried to run away. We got some pieces of plastic fence things from bunnings and then ziptied them to the gate so he wouldnt be able to get through the bars again. You handled it really well, I panicked and wanted to cut my fence posts when I saw my dog stuck!
My pug has done this before, except it was in the area where you close the gate. And shes 7- I freaked out but luckily got her out before anything could turn worse, dont be so hard, it happens from time to time. We know you love them!
Thank you for all you do for these boys. You are a great father and you are NOT a failure! Being a parent to any child/children contains trials and tribulations. We, like the children, learn life lessons and move on to fix the next. Is there a gate that has a lattice design? That should work for the meantime. You're doing great! Love you guys!! Wish we can come and see you! Maybe sometime in the future!....from NJ.
Thank you so much for sharing this day even though it was a really hard one!! Accidents happen and you handled it so well! All that matters is that little Stanley is ok! I def shed a few tears with you at the end, u r a great dad!! 💚💚💚💚
You were so sweet caring for him afterwards. These boys have good parents! ❤
You are a wonderful pug parent!!! They are so lucky to have you!!!!!
POOR LITTLE BABY!!! I GLAD HE IS OK 🐶
I did the same thing when I was 5. My grandmother called the fire department. They cut me out.
I remember dropping my pug when he was a puppy, I was absolutely distraught. Your pain is shared my dude, don’t beat yourself up about it
You have not failed. Learnt a lesson however things happen to test you. Keep up the good work x
