  • Dodge is making a huge mistake.

    • They don't have the resources to keep the V8s compliant with the ridiculous new laws. MOPAR just doesn't have the deep pockets of the blue oval to keep them alive.

    • No, their huge mistake was the lack of significant updates and innovations in these cars over the past decade while constantly raising the price. They waited until there was no chance to do anything about what’s forcing these cars out. They fell behind and stayed behind in terms of performance versus both their direct competitors and other vehicles in their price point. They’re a ton of fun, but a Camaro or Mustang is a superior car in every way other than, like, trunk space and rear legroom.

    • @@alexgilland2269 Not one to pay attention huh. For the last 5ish years they have out sold the Camaro And Mustang. They only reason that they are going away is because their current chassis and engines can't comply with tightening regulations and Stalanis can't afford to make them compliant.

It had a tree fall on it and kill it. So I got a charger rt awd. It sounds leagues better, but using the auto stick, I only get to use 2 maybe 3 gears before it’s way over the speed limit or not able to corner any more. Averages 15mpg. Both have their pros and cons. The biggest reason I didn’t get a new challenger 6.4 when it was time was the insurance, over 100 a month more.

  • So about $11K to go from the 5.7 to the 6.4…. I’m not a Dodge guy and don’t know much about the 5.7 RT. But I might be tempted to buy the 5.7 and add a power adder to it. Example I had a 98 C5 with an LS1 rated at 345 hp at the motor. The car was a 4 speed auto & not the best of trans options in my opinion. The car rear gear was a 2.73. The car ran 60 mph in 1st gear and 100 mph in second and something like 140 in 3rd and forget 4th. I changed the gear to a 3.42 (same gear as the manual tran car) and added a centrifugal supercharger (Vortech V3 SI ) making 9lbs of boost. The end result was 474 WHP/442 TQ. That’s 130 WHP over what the motor was rated. My best guess is the ls1 was making about 570 hp at the crank. I would take a long hard look at the 5.7 and we’ll, if a manual trans is available it could be a potent little package and $11K would get you there. Maybe even less depending on what you have to change to support all the HP you just unleashed. Also, you will need at least a 305 tire to have any chance of getting all this extra sauce onto the road and not just into the air… In the video below I was running nitro 325’s. I lifted on the second gear shift to just not blow the tires off the car. Watch the speedo at the shift and the traction control. The car was wrenched by Ryan’s Performance Machines in Garner NC. They did a good job tuning the car. 1998 C5 Corvette 0-60 mph in Under 4 sec kzhead.info/sun/qdF6iauwrqqnlq8/bejne.html

The rearend from the factory on the RT is a lame open diff. That is a big reason it falls so far behind the scat pack in performance. The Hellcat 3.09 limited slip diff is a direct drop in and can be bought and installed for about $1500. With the 8n speed automatic, it really wakes the car up. Having the 5.7 also saves on insurance over the scat pack.

      @2tooful@2tooful3 ай бұрын
    • You can put 91 in your tank but your engine is not designed to benefit from it you gain no power/perforance from doing this all you are is wasting money and if anything its reducing hp a tad bit 91 is designed to resist detnation for high compression ratio engines that utilize turbos and or superchargers higher octane fuel alone doesnt increase hp... your claim alone is wild being able to run/ leave a scat pack which has 115 more hp not a chance.

  • This is so wrong specially with the V6 review, it was so obvious that you guys planned this out and prepare what to say prior the video, having a smaller engine if a car have more than engine types it doesn't mean that the smaller ones is the worst and its bad, V6's are V6's after all and many many sport cars have a V6 engine and they are super fast, plus the sound of a v6 is nice as well its smooth and it fits the car also, its not a 2.0L 4 cyl, uuugh when he said that he is full throttle and nothing is happening that was really frustrating.....Its a 300Hp car whaaaat theeee, he was talking about it like its a 75Hp kia, there is barley a second difference between V6 and Heme's in 0-60mph times

    @user-bo6cn2tm7o@user-bo6cn2tm7o2 ай бұрын
    • Instead of being butt hurt look at the facts…..most v6 sport cars have a turbo on them to them faster, Sxt doesn’t have that Another factor is weight a v6 with no turbo with that size of a car definitely will make the 305 hp feel slow

    • @@user-pp9bl5gr1n 6.6 Sec 0-100Kmh is not slow bro definitely not slow, and not yes some V6's have turbo and some don't, but still doesn't make it slow if it doesn't, i my self have the 2012 SXT 8 speed version and i have beaten a good amount of good and some of them considered as fast cars to mention a few: - 2011 BMW 530I (3.0L) NA - 2011 Hyundai genesis 2.0L Turbo - 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid (212HP) - 2014 Mercedes C250 coupe - 2015 Dodge Ram HEMI 5.7 (Pickup) - 2010 Chevorlet Camaro has the same engine size 3.6L (But 6 speed gearbox) You know why the Charger SXT was faster than those casrs because it has a good V6 Engine + a good gear (8speed ZF) So yes I'm a bit butt hurt but i have every right to be
