Milky Way Timelapse - How I shot it
Today I'd like to run through the setup for a number of timelapse sequences I shot recently out on a farm property. It was a wonderful night with the added bonus of an Aurora Australia showing up unexpectedly.
Unfortunately the clouds also showed up with the aurora but it was still a wonderful display.
As an extra bonus I've included a number of other timelapses I've shot at this location in the past . .I hope you enjoy.

Great video. Beautiful Timelapse’s. I can’t wait for Milky Way Season when the temperatures get warmer to try to photograph the Milky Way and make Timelapse’s. I’ve wanted to go to a dark sky not to far where I live to photograph the Winter Milky Way but Its been cold, cloudy, and snowing for me.
Thanks for watching. I hope the weather clears for you soon.
The most brilliant and inspirational timelapse sequences Richard. Thank you. Excellent choice of moving soundtracks too.

Awesome compositions Richard, what a lovely piece of art this video is. Loved it, especially the milkyway reflection in the still waters of the dam, amazing.
Thanks so much my friend.
Wow Richard, especially the 2nd vid with the popping aurora behind the clouds was sooo stunning. So much word in these timelapses and possibly terrabytes of hard drive space. and make me jeaous once again 😛 southern milky way beats the bit we can see here by miles. I guess one day i have to attend one of your courses 😉 Greetings from the northern hemisphere
Yes it was a sensational night for sure . .thanks as always for watching my friend.

You're very kind my friend. I'm loving your content as well.
Looks like you ran out of luck with the clouds Richard, great montage so many, my favourite would be the hay bale lifter! 👏👏
Yes I liked that one as well Carl, thanks for watching as always.
Great Timelapse! Enjoyed briefly seeing the aurora and Milky Way. I missed the Northern Lights the same night. We saw rain and clouds here in Massachusetts area in US.
Thanks for watching Richard. Yes the clouds were certainly a problem for us both.
I love it when clouds are in the sky for timelapses! It gives the video a motion... Very good job! It was interesting to watch
I appreciate you watching Alexey
Fantastic Timelapse, Fantastic Video, Thanks Richard for sharing with us. 🙏
You're welcome Mario, thank you.
Wonderful work kind Sir!
Thanks for watching William
Hi Richard, I did watch this when you posted but hae only just got aaround to commenting. As usual, spectacular shots. I must admit, the first one ( raking device ) was a little too light for my taste ). The one of the windmill at the lake was beautiful. I am starting to get to know Australia, I recognised most of these locations. That farm is a godsend! Have a great easter and keep up the good work.
Yes I agree about the hay rake, I had the light a little too close. Thanks as always for watching my friend.
