Even the movies can teach us some things. Since the movies usually 'teach' us about the herbalists and spiritualists, that was what came to mind first. If they had storylines about first aid measures in movies, it's very likely that would have come in handy.

As someone in the educational sector, it is very obvious to me that our curriculum is sh*tty. And Many schools are not offering practical and necessary education. Nigerians go to school, but they lack knowledge, n they were all blaming Mohbad's wife. May Nigeria never happen to us oo.
This has been my prayer point since yesterday oooo, MAY NIGERIA NEVER HAPPEN TO ME AND MY LOVED ONES 😭😭.. Amen🙏🔥

Mama u said it all... May Nigeria never happen to us
Amen! Such a good prayer
you saying "May Nigeria never happen to you", have you learnt basic CPR? if not, then you are part of the Nigeria happening to you!
Today, I realised that government na 10% of naija problem. Most of our people na goawt. Our reactions to situations are just senseless sometimes.
The people are the actual problem.
The problem is that we are too spiritual 😢

Everywhere in the world, it is essential to take personal responsibility for your life. Don't ever go into a boat without a life jacket. The level of care and attention you show for your personal wellbeing is essential for being alive and well.
Thank you
The first choice became the last choice it can only happen in Nigeria. Junior Pope sadly gambled with his life and unfortunately he paid the ultimate price. Sun re o aburo🙏🏿
especially in Nigeria. self defense is the way here
Let Nigeria never happen to any of us🙏🏼
Amen
Nigerian educators are failing big time, our curriculum need to be reviewed. CPR and other safety measures, swimming, driving should be high school classes
Even the movies can teach us some things. Since the movies usually 'teach' us about the herbalists and spiritualists, that was what came to mind first. If they had storylines about first aid measures in movies, it's very likely that would have come in handy.
You are right.
@@ghsheabutterblacksoap2846 this is why I personally prefer foreing movies, Hollywood to be specific. As you are being entertained, you could gain practical knowledge in some areas of life. People who watch naija movies only are just being entertained and passing time.. 🙄
As someone in the educational sector, it is very obvious to me that our curriculum is sh*tty. And Many schools are not offering practical and necessary education. I'm Japan, children from ages 3 till 10 are being taught health and security education practically, they are being taught hygiene, courtesy and social norms practically. In Nigeria all we want to do is to force children to memorise things that they will present on end of the year party day. It's ridiculous 😒
Hmmm Na true oO! Sister
Finally, we will talk about it for about a month then everyone moves on like nothing happened.THIS IS NIGERIA

😢😢😢😢😢
The most painful part of this story for me Is seeing the video of this guy literally begging for his life on the same voyage
Adeola Nigeria will never happen to you and my entire family members. I am no longer a Nigerian since May 29th 2023. I am now a Yorubania from Ekiti.
Come to Ghana please
hhahhhhhahahahahhahaahaa
🤝🏿
Hmmm Its so sad
Welcome to Kenya please
The man that took him to the herbalist instead of taking pope immediately to the hospital, should be arrested ASAP..How does this make any sense??
That is a very common response in Nigeria: in an emergency rush to an herbalist or church for a "magic cure", then when the poor victim is clearly beyond saving rush to hospital as a last resort. God gave us knowledge through doctors so that we would not die needlessly, but we chose ignorance.
You are very right, those people have to be arrested including the the guy who was ringing the bell at the middle of the river announcing his presence and throwing coins into the river
The herbalist monger try, shebi na herbalist direct them go hospital. Some pipu carry them go morgue.
He is just an idiot. Took him to herbalist. How stupid can a person be.
I swear foolish man His last choice supposed to b d ist choice .......stupid fellow
April 2022 I visited Nigeria 🇳🇬 from the US.. I went to Balogun market with my cousin. Last thing I heard was “I can’t breath” I was told I passed out in the shop I was buying hair extensions. I woke up soaked from head to toe with a crowd around me! No 911 .. no one could have done CPR if I had needed it! I shiver to think what could have become of me… my 3 little children, my aged mother back home waiting for my return! It’s only the Grace of God I have to thank for everything. May Nigeria 🇳🇬 not happen to us in Jesus Name Amen 🙏🏽
Omg!
My goodness gracious me I’m out of words 🤔 I loved that particular actor 🥲 may his soul Rest In Peace watching from Guyana 🇬🇾
A big kudos to you Adeola for saying things exactly the way they're. May Nigeria never happen to me nor any members of my family. Rip JP and the rest of the crew members 💔🙏😭😭😭
Our “mumishness” stinks when there is emergencies in Nigeria If they are not doing video recording instead of assisting they are obstructing helping hands. Go to some offices and take a look at their first aid boxes - eight out of ten will have expired drugs It’s really true may Nigeria never happen to you I have always prayed to God, may nothing never happen to me that requires people deciding for me
If at all they have first aid kit
May Nigeria never happen to you, A MIGHTY AMEN IJN
I’m a Cameroonian but I’ve never beeen this pained in my life. I couldn’t sleep nor eat for a whole day. Too much carelessness. Oh my God this is so painful. MAY AFRICA NEVER HAPPEN TO YOU. Abeg my people safety first. I feel soo bad for his young mom chaiii
Don't jump to Africa. Many African countries are taking care of the needs of their people.
I am rendered speechless 💔🥺
Same here 😭
In this 21st century, Nigeria that claims to have educated people! What? Native doctor! Really? Rubbish!
Spot on 💯
😢😢you have point but why people are so mine
I wonder ! Hmmm!
They crossed a whole river to this place, clearly it's a rural area. How many hospitals are in rural communities? Many people living here are probably illiterates. The first mistake was boarding that death trap without a 🦺, especially when you can't swim. I guess when it's your time, it's your time. May his soul RIP and may God console his family 😢
Can you just imagine !
A herbalist???!!! I think we can all agree Nigeria is regressing. The next thing they will be saying the accident was caused by marine spirits. Someone on this case needs to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. The account of these needless deaths are ridiculous. None of these people should have died.
Taking him to an herbalist actually sounds funny but have you been to any coastal areas in Nigeria before? Most of them have this strong beliefs and ways they believe is right to do things. Looking at cause and effect, I would rather blame those on the boats without life jackets. Assuming they considered their safety paramount, none of these would have happened.

I’m embarrassed and sad about the way this incident was handled in Nigeria. This is 2024 for goodness sake, Nigeria! What is wrong with us?
Nothing is wrong. You people value money over everything.

It's just incredible how Africans can be so educated and yet so traditional at the same time
And this is what sets us back!!🤦🏾♀️
The mortuary attendant should have advised that he should be given CPR since he was still alive 😮
Why should a morgue technician tell educated people the importance of CPR?. His job is not to save lives, he probably doesn't have the training. Safeguards where not followed, the director and producers should be held accountable
My dear, a lot of Africans don't know CPR ooo! Even some nurses don't know how to perform it😢

@Adeola Fayehun... thank you for this video... you literally took the words out of my mouth!.... I shared these same key issues with my husband last night and we concluded with the prayer that may Nigeria not happen to us... very sad...and what's worse is that the necessary lessons may not be learnt and changes implement to prevent a repeat cause like you said and I agree a thousand percent that, we do not value human lives! This was preventable! Four lives lost due to gross negligence on many people's parts. I pray God comforts their loved ones. Nigerians also need to stop absolving themselves of their sound intellect where matters of perceived spiritual origins are detected. Let us use the brain that God gave us! Science and faith in God are not mutually exclusive...
See fine people 😢 gracious father have mercy. This hurts really badly. Speechless 😶 deepest condolences 💐

When you tell poeple, let's get good governance to make Nigeria better for us all, some will say, let's play religion or ethnicity. It's a pity
The governor of your state that does not have widespread ambulance service os from where

My dear Nigeria is tooo back wards.. in 2008 this was the same way they took my twin brother from the scene of an accident to the mortuary. No CPR, no doctor certified him death. A stupid uncertified Nurse came to say he was dead. No CPR, no hospital, ambulance, no Paramedics, no help whatsoever just straight to the mortuary, too painful to recall. May Nigeria never happen to you. Still in 2024 same thing is happening. So heartbreaking
The best video i have seen concerning junior pope nd his crew members
This guy died out of negligence😢
Hmmmmmm very sad indeed hmm 😢
Pure negligence!!!
Indeed, may Nigeria never happen to you
Ridiculous is the right word concerning this issue my dear Adeola! Thanks for your usual sensible and analytical perspective. Nigeria has a whole bunch of problems; where do we start from? Basic CPR, a young child should have learnt in school in case of emergency even at home! May Nigeria or shall we say 'Nigerians' never happen to you! What a great pity!
Amen.May Nigeria never happen to us.

That’s the reason why arguing or trying to make sense with that type of person will almost make me feel stupid and dumb. I rather save my mental health and energy from ignoramus idiots as such. How do you take someone to an herbalist when they need simple and basic resuscitation? This useless guy had the audacity to say hospital was the last resort. I swear when you think you’ve heard it all, Nigeria and some Nigerians will shock you because common sense ain’t common no more in Nigeria. 😢😢😢
Honestly, the most ignoramus idiot I've ever seen. The family of this late actor should hold him responsible . Eze dibia!!.

When I see Nigeria and Nigerians, I weep. Many people are far from the reality. I said, that it is shameful, that no arrangement for first and personnel, those that could have carried out the CPR, on this kind of suicide journey, since none of them know what it is. Mama, you said the right prayer. May Nigeria never happen to us.
My Sister you have said it All. Am so sorry and so sad for the loss of our dear actor junior pope.this is the mentality of our African people. My condolences to his dear wife and family.May his soul rest in perfect peace.
This is a big shame for Nigeria. Honestly Nigeria should be far better than this. Good laws geared to protecting life and property must be emphasized. 21 century, no one should accept going on a boat without being given a life jacket. whatever you are or will be doing, your safety first.
Everything should not be blame on govt what was the producer aim before not giving them life jacket
I say amen to that prayer ooo. Also let us pray that as we are in Nigeria, you are by yourself and with God alone, hundreds of people die needless and preventable deaths every week, so everyday and wherever you are, take responsibility for your safety,

Adeola, one correction. CPR is indeed rocket science in Nigeria! Who is teaching the cpr? Do you think they'll teach it properly? Who certifies the appropriateness and effectiveness of the cpr? To you, cpr is simple. To those living in 9ja,it isn't. One more measure that is very necessary in 9ja. Wearing safety seat belts is another .
There are many free online courses on CPR. No one should be without knowing how to do CPR.
@@DorisL-ti6yn This assumes everyone has access to it, access to hands-on simulation, access to verification/evaluation of the appropriateness of their skills, etc. Nevertheless, awareness is a big factor here. Free courses may be available but the community must be accessed for health determinants. In our case, it is lack of knowledge.
U spoke my mind, CPR is indeed rocket science. U must have been taught to apply it effectively
@@hrhmystique7158 No big grammar. Make your choice: that extra hair extension or data bundle to do a free CPR course.

Thank you for this, when we say "may Nigeria not happen to us" it is worthy of note that it is the citizens that refused to do the right thing here, refused to be enlightened not Federal government now. Because how, how on earth people will consider sacrificing to one spirit to save human life when they supposed to take him to hospital. May we never be in wants of good and enlightened people.

Hi@mrs adeola thanks for this show. We have no regards of life in Nigeria. We do not have any regards for human life . This is obi from Tampa Florida USA . She died the same day she turned 22 still hurts I will never be the same. I am so sorry condolences to his wife and kids.
