Why learning Turkish, let Turkish’s speak English instead
When the girl was talking about arrogant rich Russians, I can say that these people could act the same in Russia. Like, you don't see a lot of "real" Russians. You see arrogant rich Russians, especially from Moscow. People from there are way more arrogant than those from other Russia. We could experience the same problems with them when they visit the regions. "Because we live in a similar geography after all" Oh, man. This can be told by anyone from Finland and Turkey to China and Japan.
I am a Russian man who married a Turkish woman. Usually its the other way around. But we get along very well, and the mentality is almost the same. And I'm not a cliche Russian tourist who goes to Antalya, I've been all over Turkey.
Same story :)
You will regret it, turkish women are too uptight and tempered. they want to put men in cage and never give them freedom.

cold russia, hot men haha
Merhaba! I had been living in Istanbul for 10 months, it was great and in some aspects astonishing experience. I lived as a temporary emigrant with money only for surviving, so the story about “rich russians” isn’t mine) Turkish people practically every time were so king and generous that as a “cold russian” (I confirm this feature) sometimes I couldn’t express my gratefulness in a proper way. My visit to Türkiye matched with the darkest period of my life (war, persecutions in Russia, forceful emigration) but thanks to your country in the end I had a feeling that new life is possible çok teşekkürler, Türkiye!
Привет! I am studying in Muğla and since it's a touristic province I've seen many Russians who came over there. I can understand the main reason behind this perception of "cold russian" thing from our perspective. I believe we are very similar but many Russans I had crossed paths with did know little to no English so they open up to strangers harder than usual. However, those I had befriended were so kind and fun. I hope you can have a nice stay in Turkiye
@@HellyLN For me typical “russian tourist in Turkiye” is a comedian character with whom you don’t want to encounter in real life. Thanks God I lived in non-touristic area among natives. Formally I was a tourist but this was a completely different thing. Thank you, I hope to return some day in a better time and continue to study Türkçe which I began but due to chaotic circumstances interrupted
You are always welcome to our country, Russian friends. Russian opposition is more than welcome.
As a Russian I confirm that our cultures are very similar (alcohol-like too) and Russian people lite Turkey a looot.
Being honest, I have no idea what arr you talking about .. like Alkohul is nothing special. it's everywhere, medeterenan and slalvic are not similar in culture at all .
@@dr.muhannadalnaser2082you do realize there are also Slavs in Southeast Europe right? for example Croatia is very close to the Mediterranean, Serbs, Croats, Bosnians, Macedonians, and Montenegrins are very close to us because of our shared Balkan culture. We have lived with these people for centuries because of the Ottoman Empire, I wonder if you have ever visited any of these countries, because your claim is absurd and ignorant.
@bodoor8172 you are the ignorant , my best ever friends from Kosovo and sarajevo , i drive there very often from istanbul to Macedonia , I worked in Berlin and I have contract with London to cover 3 times per year orthopedic consultants , balkans are not very slavic and they have some similarities with us yes but still not fully medeterenan, but sure the Muslims of them more similar , that's my experience and what I saw in there homes and with my friends . So just stop forcing it !

Rusyada birsürü yarı bağımsız türk milleti var , bu yüzden hepsine rus diyerek aynı kalıba sokmak yanlış diye düşünüyorum .
Merhaba! A couple of days ago we got back from a little trip around Turkey. We were in Antalya, Fethiye (+ Ölüdeniz) and Istanbul. It was our third trip, but this time we were afraid that we would be treated worse because of the situation in Ukraine, especially the Europeans. But we did not meet any negativity at all. Perhaps this is “survivorship bias”, but I tell it like it is. Besides Turks and Russians we met Germans, English and Spaniards and even Mexicans. In Istanbul we saw a lot of people of other nations, but we didn't have a chance to talk to them. About Russians: imho, in every nation there are good and bad people, intelligent and impolite. And the more you travel, the better you understand the diversity. You get away from clichés. I understand that Russians are associated with alcohol and rudeness, but I think that was true for the 1970s-1990s, when it was a very difficult time and then people drank not just for fun, but to escape from reality. I've seen Finns with red faces coming back on the ferry from Tallinn, I've seen very drunk Germans and Englishmen, but that doesn't mean they are all like that. Personally, we drink alcohol very rarely, as do our friends and family. But that's just our circle. Yes, Russians can be rude, but often the “rudeness” can be unintentional and caused by stress or disorientation. For example, many people find it easier to just walk away from a person if they don't understand what they are saying. To me this seems comical, but to others it may seem like arrogance. This time I learned more words and phrases in Turkish than in previous times (which this channel helped with), and I enjoyed using them when talking to the locals. Of course, these are not full-fledged conversations, but it's nice to see people smiling when you try to speak their language. I think it's easier for a Russian to learn Turkish than English, because the structure of the language is more understandable. Especially there are a lot of similar words that got into Russian from Turkic languages. About Turkey: last time we were in March 2019, in Istanbul. There was excellent spring weather, there were no huge crowds of tourists. That time we visited many beautiful and interesting places and tasted a lot of delicious food. This time it was noticeably warmer and there were a lot of tourists. Last time we felt that Turkey was a neater country, because after arriving in Russia, I started to notice flaws in the surroundings more often. For example, moving from the airport to another airport in Moscow, I noticed three different night signs with broken letters. However, this time we noticed that there was more litter on the streets in Turkey than in our country. Especially in the tourist areas. At first we thought it was the tourists' fault, but soon we saw the locals themselves littering. I am not saying that we have perfect cleanliness, but the streets of Beyoğlu look very untidy. I hope this is not an indicator for the whole country. All the Turks we interacted with were very friendly and we tried to reciprocate. In touristy places almost everyone speaks English, but if you go to less touristy places (where we like to look for real life), there are not many locals who speak English, but it does not prevent communication on a basic level. By the way, this is similar to most countries in the world. There are a lot of mosques in Turkey and there are often hotels or apartments where you can hear the muezzins very well in the morning. In Antalya, for example, the call to prayer sounded very melodic and pleasant. In Istanbul we also heard beautiful afternoon calls to prayer, but unfortunately near our hotel they were less euphonious. I know you can eat very good food in Turkey, but you have to know where and when. This is true of every country. This time we were less lucky than the previous time. In Antalya and Fethiye we mostly had to eat in tourist restaurants and cafes where the food was mediocre. Unfortunately we didn't get to eat where the locals did. In Istanbul one night we were left hungry because we took too long with dinner and didn't want sweets, Italian or Japanese food and other touristy dishes. We love Italian and Japanese food, but we wanted succulent meat on lavash with vegetables and Turkish yogurt, drinking everything with ayran. But it was already more than 20:00 and for two hours of searching we did not find what we were looking for. At this time the döner and stores were already closed, which was strange for us. In Russia, finding a store with food at night is not a problem. Perhaps we were foolish and were looking in the wrong place 🤷♂ We can talk about food endlessly, but I will touch on one topic that I think many Russians care about: shawarma and dürüm. In our country, meat from a vertical spit wrapped in lavash with vegetables and sour-milk sauce is called shawarma or shaverma. It is not a traditional Russian dish, but it has already become a part of Russian culture, just like shashlik (shish kebab) or dumplings. I don't know exactly how it got to Russia in the form it has now, but it must have happened while living closely with Turkic and Caucasian peoples. In general, many Russians will compare these dishes in different countries. Unfortunately I have not tried döner in Europe, but there were expectations of eating something similar to shawarma in Turkey. This time I tried three different dürüms, but in taste and composition it was something different. Three times is very little to draw a conclusion, but these dishes lacked the juiciness we are used to. One of them had strange ingredients like corn or potatoes. I would like to know what dishes the locals eat and how exactly, because with the example of Italian food it seems like the whole world eats it the wrong way :) TV in Turkey. Personally, we don't watch TV at home, but it's interesting to see what's on in another country. The rooms had cable or satellite TV, lots of channels. At first impression, 40% of them showed news or discussed politics. Another 30% were soap operas. The rest were shows: cooking, traveling and music. In general, the content was similar, but the number of channels with news and politics seemed much higher. We thought that in Russia advertising lasts forever, but it seems to be the same story in Turkey :) We like Turkey, so hope to be there more than once. To see more, to learn more, to taste more.
Before war, many Russians were saying,We love to Greece than Turkiye. They are our orthodox brother Then their orthodox brothers and sisters suddenly turned their backs ,and listened and obeyed to Sam Uncle orders ,Also They loyal to EU.That’s Money talks man :) mentality.
They still like greece more than they like us, believe me. Turkey has no place in europe in mentality. Russia-Turkey relations might better in future idk but if we talk about the people, turks are just muslims and strangers for christian world(i know we turks are mostly not conservative and the way of life in turkey close to europe but we are still strangers for them, in mentality)
@@alittlestoryy Well, I don't think that having good relation with Greece means to hate Turkey. Many Russian like you both and honestly speaking you have more similarities with each other than you think
@Sirius-Voyager There's a Russian woman coming to my country Vietnam to teach English. She made a video on her KZhead channel saying Vietnam is a backward country. So I ask her so WTH you still stay here where this underdeveloped country pays your salary almost 3 times more than you can get in your developed country. I also watched a clip a bunch of Russians living Germany bringing Russian flag for a public meeting supporting Putin. I don't know how to describe Russian mentality but they're patriotic people, love their country Russia except living there.

At 2:20 -> "bir tane yakın rus arkadaşım oldu" means "I had one close russian friend." -> "bir arkadaşım vardı" means "I had one friend" -> two sentences meanings are different but both of them is correct At 4:46 -> zaten meaning close to already (not same tho) -> Idk how the explain that thats actually is a false use of words but for native Turkish speakers its just makes sense 🤷♀️🤷♀️
zaten is close to "already" as meaning. In this context, she kind of secretly built two sentences in this one sentence. She actually answered the question by sayin "we already know little bit about them because they come to Turkey for tourism" . So instead of building extra seperate sentence like "we already know little bit about them", she just put "already" inside this sentence : ("Turkiye'ye geliyorlar zaten turizm icin"). So yeah we do that a lot in Turkish. Especially with "zaten" . Sorry for the challange :)

hello from japan,i hope you to transrate this statement

As a French person I am delighted to notice that noone here criticizes Russia for the war with Ukraine...Bravo Turkiye...you didn't let the western propaganda poison you
Peace at home, peace in the world 🇹🇷
So why don't you leave your comfy life in the western and join the wonder and developed civilization of russia and turkey?
We are not interested in conflict that’s why. We are strangers to both countries matters.
U know that this video is edited right? All the negative are cut out 😉
YET - YOU SIT THERE AND BRING UP THE TOPIC - SO TELL ME - WHO IS THE HYPOCRITE!
Did that old man say fight against America ?
No
Can you do next what Turkish people think of Americans? 😂
Hey bro pls ask them about our Indians and Indian people, entertainment, culture
Despite of India media’s how to show turkish people in India ,mostly Our people love to India and It’s street culture. Many secular turkish people interest with India’s Buddha’s philosophy , meditation, yoga and mystisism. Some old ladies watches to India tv series with exagerated scenes :)But India people don’t know turkish people enough. They have a fixed ideas about Turkiye. Many turkish fed up about indian people’s negative comments under any topic with Turkiye or turkish people.
Nope I don't think most of Turkish people love paki indian afghan... Cz we got bunch of immigrants and I should say that we have done about your etc
if you mean native Americans we Turks love them .
We don't hate you as much as you hate us..
@@Sirius-Voyager Indians don’t really care much about Turkey so there is no animosity towards Turks but it hurts when Turkey sides with Pakistan on Kashmir issues
As a person living in Russia, but not a non-Russian or a Turk, I agree that these peoples are similar in many ways. Both natians are quite open and with an imperial mindset.
Merhaba Can. Please make some video on Indian culture and also what Turkish people think about Indian
They know aamir khan and indian cinema, but it is said that the indians do not think very well about the turks, is it true

RU 🍻 TR Pro Russia 👍 I like turkey, russia, hungary and central asia very much 😎
Its funny how Turks (especially young ones) like the countries and people which dont like them. This includes Germany and America. Meanwhile, ask Turks how they feel about Arabs and Afghans and you'll hear the Mein Kempf (Turkish version).
Are you American? Because your view that America doesn't like Turkey, incorrect.
@@user-zy5oc4cw2m I'm British. They don't like Turkey out of ignorance. In fact I'm willing to bet they view Turks the same way Turks perceive Arabs. Both are ignorant.
@@ensardeniz3181Because you have civil war - which Turkey supported, and most will go back but you need to stop acting like they're the problem behind everything.
Syrians and Afghans not generally but people from these nation who is the came Turkey extraordinarily uncivilized thats the point
Turks simply hate immigrants of big scale. Love for those countries you list are because of the better living standards (VERY popular to share how bad Turkey is compared to them). Our economy sucks, many want out.
I love russia
🇦🇿❤🇷🇺 Love Russia, the people, and the culture despite historical bad blood between us
What about Armenia? it's exactly same case as Russia
Forgot how Russia supported Armenia in the first and second Karabakh wars?

I checked what my Latins girl -friends always say when they visit Turkey (and girl-friends married to Turkish men): 👉 Turkish women are very envious of foreign girls, and they feel timid like bugs and their reaction to that is negative...Poor Turkish women 😢
No, we don't, there is no reason for this. Turkish women so beautiful also.. Maybe the problem is this foreigner women behavior, and mindset, becauce Turkish People, women warm and open foreignier..
Turkish women have a strong jealous nature, some people don't like it but I don't, the funny thing is just because I know the other woman's name it's not weird if she gets jealous😂❤
U pressed about Turkish girls?
What need is there to invent falsehoods? Nobody believes that Turkish women who are one of the most beautiful women in the world feel Jealous of you, latingirlsliterally occupy the highest levels in aesthetic operations😂 I don't think any Turkish man would even look in your direction. Stop being insecure
Those who said Russians or slavic are similar to us or to medeterenan are really weird .I respect all people, but sure, we are not similar in culture and mentality . No one is better but I mean we are not similar this must be a jock 😅
You’re not “one of us”, Naser. Of course, Arabs (who pathetically try to larp as Turks) couldn’t give an opinion on which nations are similar to Turks and which nations are not.
@curiousteletabi2696 and if you like come meet me I will show you face to face from ottoman archive all names of grandfathers who related to osman bey himself , we still have the Sultan II. Abdülhamid hükümetinde çalıştığı için Osmanlı mührü . Senden ne haber ? Yunan asıllı mısın? Keep leaking. Europeans shoes are your style, not mine
@curiousteletabi2696 and by the one you are the one not from us . I have never seen medeterenan person who says slavic is similar to us even child would know about that !
I'm Arab, and I can give a concise opinion about cultures that are similar, and cultures that are very different to Turks 😉@@curiousteletabi2696
Yes we are not similar with russians but why you talk behalf of us, you are not even turkish.
I'm Russian sorry but we are not similar at all, please don't compare us ))

Sorry but Turks and russian both are usually uneducated and racist and i am saying this as a turk ...I love being turkish but even russian are way more uneducated than us ....İt is what it is and yeah you are right we are nothing to common
Turks are very diverse jjst watching this video says alot about them some of them are white others look bit arabs
Because Turkey ethnically hosts many ethnic groups such as Turks, Georgians, Circassians, Laz, Armenians, Balkan immigrants, Kurds and refugees. The real Turks are a mixture of Yellow and White races of Anatolian genetics and this genetic consists of ethnic groups such as Balkan Turks, Iranians, Armenians and Azerbaijanis. This group represents the white race and yellow races in the ethnic group in Anatolia, but since the Kurds from Turkey are originally Iranian and Iraqi, they look like brown people and Arabs.

All my girlfriends for the past few years has been Slavic lol
So naive people.
Sunucu Ingilizce’yi düzgün öğrenmeyi düşünüyor mu…?
Mongol invasion in the 13th Century changed Russia's culture even to this day, and not for better unfortunately.
That is not true. Türks and Mongols (Both were free and secular same as Slavs and all tribes used to fight eachother for riches and territory ,sadly. So it was a Türk Khanate allied to a Slav Boyar and Mongol khanate allied to another Slav Boyar etc. When some Germanic tribe allied to another Boyar. Then some other Scandinavian one comes and beats the other...Ancient wars were all gray. Ancient peoples were mixing continiously. They didnt care for ethnicity or religion at ancient times) They had nothing to do with Religious bigots of later Dark age/Medieval times where Christinaity and Islam spread all across the continents and start erasing ancient cultures. Abrahamic religons and Globalism taking control using the religons ruined the world. Peoples and cultures today is mix of all ancient cultures. Hopefully peole will come together even more.
Opposite actually. After Russian invasion in eastern steppes, freedom-loving, open-minded nomads became like Russians; submissive, obedient and collective.
@@Horusianmaybe that’s how Turks became submissive.
I think the survey is very biased as it is obvious the people you surveys seem liberal to say the least.
Look who’s talking Le Chameau ne bout pas sa dosse, il voit celle des autres Worldwide most arrogant , pretentious are the TURKS
Fun fact many of citizens in Turkey have soviet background at least 10-20 million not necessary Russians but from soviet republics mostly , so when they say stuff like we are similar in culture what could this mean if they are orthodox christian and we are muslim , what they really mean we have lived with them in soviet union so we are the same way mentally .
The guy who said they are closer to us than Arabs or Iranians lol is he delusional or what??? I bet his name is Arabic .
we do not f camels, we do not marry children, we do not have 4 or 5 wives, we do not eat with our hands, we consume alcohol, we do not wear loincloths, we do not dress boys in skirts and play, so yes; We are not Arabs, Pashtuns or Persians. If we leave the funny side aside: you may not understand, but the language interaction took place with all the neighboring states. even the French influence lasted longer. English still continues to affect our language. but if you knew the first language families, you wouldn't be in such a funny situation. also, the resemblance of nations is not just about language; We are similar to Russians in character.
@@lecolatesla69 if you listen to some westerners, they joke about Turk doing goats lol. So don’t be silly. Turkey isn’t just Izmir and a few coastal cities. The last election proved that. Put your anger and hysteria aside, you grandparents wrote Turkish in Arabic alphabet, most of your names are Arabic, without Arabic and Persian your language will morph to a sign language. Russia is not closer to Turkey than Syria or Iran is. Russia was a mortal enemy to Turkey for centuries. Read a book. Thank you goodness you’re just a small sore minority. Fyi I have turkish blood.
@@lecolatesla69 also, 4 wives or whatever that is the gulf region. Child abuse and trafficking are worldwide, actually more rampant in the west. I’ll wait for your reply when you get sober, perhaps you’re binge drinking vodka now since you’re somehow Siberian lol
Are you sure, I swear to you that Turkey hates Arabs that even 30% of Turkey is not properly Muslim.
Those names you tell are actually related to past generations and religious belief (sad history of religon used for politcs by the rulers all arund the world) although our belief was allways much different than Arabs or Fars. Additionally anything about Islam is based on Aramic and Hebrew , translted to Arab culture. All prophets are Hebrew and Aram, same as names of angels, names of dua s 'surah' (in Arabic), even the name of deity comes from Elloh im and A ilah, lah etc.. translated to Arabic. In the past Türks used both original Türk but a second Islamic (Originally Hebrew-Aramic) name and then sadly turned more of those religous names. Thanksfully the Turkish revolution fixed it back to Turkish origins. We have nothing common with Saudi continent if you call North African , they arent Arab but Magrib. Lebanese and Jordan are also not Arab they are Kenan/Fenike. Egyptian are also a nation of their own. We Türkiye Türks are Oğuz Türk (who originally worshipped Tengri/Tanrı single creator when Arabs worshipped hundreds of Stone and wood Idols) Türks which also mixed with Anatolian people. (Not invading Western seaside Greek, not Northern mountain invader Armenian but the Original Anatolian peoples) I hope one day everyone gets back to its roots. I dont mean dna here so not racism but the culture before Arab Islam/Latin Catholic/East Roman Orthodox etc imperialism or any other religious imperialism and culture erosion. So unite with Humanism.
Tourists are welcome as long they behave , most russians came to turkey for one simple reason , it's easy to get in with russian passport no visa requiered , the government even confirmed a law which says they do not even need a passport , lol dunno what happened with this law , if it was easy to enter western europe not a single of them would stay in Turkey , anyway they can't stay there for to long it's up to 3 months and even if they get permanent residency how could they handle the inflation , most russians coming to turkey are not Rich , like this Woman is telling .
